WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ A QUESTION THAT HE'D HEARD BEFORE, but a question he found annoying nonetheless, if only because it was typically associated with his master trying to get out of the contract without losing their soul. Not really wise to try to cheat out a demon, you know. Whether it was just genuine curiosity or the human trying to be sneaky, Vince shrugged it off and answered anyway. It was going to be brought up again anyway, might as well get it out of the way. "Your soul is mine." he began. "The moment you agreed to the contract, you relinquished all rights to it." Get on with the point? "Naturally, you come with me if I die." Whether or not that was true was hard to tell as the demon had quite mastered the art of lying and had a pretty good poker face to boot. Still, Vincent wasn't easy to kill, so neither of them had anything to worry about, as far as he was concerned. So long as Levi didn't die, they were fine.Well Levi's plan was decent at most. Still rather risky if he had anything to say about it, but who was he to talk about risks? He shrugged at the thought. He was curious about his apparent plans though but hadn't the chance to bring it up right away, instead snorting in wry amusement as he'd assured him they'd still be able to get into places designed for hunters. "Ah, yes. Because that's definitely where a demon would like to be." he replied sarcastically. Not that he was scared, of course not! But he didn't want to have to deal with a bunch of angry humans should they find out he were in fact a demon. And it wasn't as if he could simply allow the human to wander into those sort of places on his own either, given the fact that there was a chance he could be recognized and he had to keep Levi alive if he wanted that soul. Just his luck he happened to be summoned by a hunter. "Actually.." he began once the option of more questions became available. "What exactly is it you are wanting?" he questioned. The man had plans and there was a chance those plans involved him, so it might have been nice to know what exactly he was getting into. "Surely you didn't just summon me to get you out of prison." he chuckled. Or maybe he really was that desperate. To each their own, he supposed, even if it might have been a waste of his potential. That wasn't exactly what he had meant by his question, but he guessed that was all he was going to get from the man. "I have no intention not giving you my soul, but if you died on me before my plans were accomplished would defeat the purpose. So don't die.. okay?" he answered back absently to the demon who was following him. The staircase was rather longer than he thought it was before, but maybe that was because they were talking that made it feel longer than what it was.
The hunter only half looked back at the other on his comment about going in a hunter area. Of course he didn't want to go in them, but that would get them information and the faster they could accomplish his goal. If this demon wanted his soul quick he had to get used to going into places that he didn't want to. "It will get you my soul faster, though if you want to take the long way to do things I won't argue." he said flatly as he finally made his way up the last step and to another locked door before him.
The white haired male froze however as the demon seemed to ask him a question now that he had offered. The hunter stopped his reach to the door to instead turn to the demon behind him. " Revenge, is probably the simplest way to explain it. I was in that cell because of the first part of my revenge." he said calmly before glancing back at the door hacking off the lock like he had done before. "If you would?" he said to the man again as he moved out of the way so the demon could once again kick the door off its hinges.
"... My father was left behind by the idiots I killed to get in that cell. Now I want to kill the supernatural who killed him and put his body to rest. They ran away because they feared for their own lives leaving him for dead, so I took their pitiful lives from them." he said calmly. The blue orbs closed some as he spoke crossing his arms over his chest. "I'll tell you more if you want, but after we are out of here." he finally finished as he waited for the demon to do his part now.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ DON'T DIE? "Wasn't planning on it." he chuckled. He was a pretty difficult demon to kill, evidenced by his history. His master wouldn't have to worry his pretty little head. But it was good to know Levi had no stupid plans, even if the human could have very well been lying. So long as they remained on the same page, however, both would get what they wanted out of this arrangement. He might have been a vile and deceitful demon, but when he made a contract, he stuck to it. Of course stubbornness went a long way in that regard, as plenty of his master's proved how difficult managing his resolve could be sometimes. Not surprisingly, Levi didn't appear to be too sympathetic to the demon's displeasure with the idea, even going as far as to tell him to deal with it if he wanted his soul quicker. "Need I remind you, I have a longer lifespan. I'm sure I could hold out." he chuckled. Of course, as charming as this human was, he wasn't too thrilled with the idea of lingering with him for too long. He was doing pretty well now, but eventually his attitude would likely grate at the demon's nerves and make obedience a bit more difficult. So it would be in their own good if the two could deal with this quickly. "I just can't guarantee that I wont kill them the moment they point one of their sad little weapons at me." he reasoned with a shrug. Though he was sure that Levi could care less so long as he didn't kill anyone that had the information he apparently would need. Having caught the human's full attention then, Vincent paused as Leviathan answered his question. Vaguely, but an answer nonetheless. Revenge. It was a typical reason that caused humans to resign to summoning his kind. They liked to keep their hands relatively clean, after all. Of course Levi was just a tad different in the sense that he'd already gotten a head start, apparently, that being the reason why he was locked up in the first place. He could appreciate the human's brutality though, even if it was misguided, as far as he was concerned. But what could he expect? Apparently the affection towards a father was enough to make a human go mad. Not that he could ever really understand that. Either way, the demon hardly gave a fuck why he summoned him, only interested in obtaining that soul that was now rightfully his. So if helping a human get some revenge on another supernatural, he had no qualms. Well... depending on the creature, of course, but Levi was lucky at least in summoning a demon who was pretty fucking cocky. The possibility of this creature being dangerous, even for him, hardly concerned him. But never mind all that. They still had to get out of here before they made any real plans. So once Levi agreed, the demon would step past him to address the door. Another kick and another door would go flying, though this time it would leave a deep red smear in it's path. "Oops?" he offered in monotone before stepping out of the now open doorway, scanning the area for any potential threats. Well there goes another one down. Pathetic mortal didn't even have a chance, seeming to have been guarding the door he'd smashed in. Oh well. One less hunter to worry about! Still... this was rather odd. You'd think going into a hunter stronghold like this would have been... oh, he didn't know, more fortified? Something seemed off, but he couldn't exactly figure out why that was. He'd keep on his toes, regardless, the large demon waiting for Levi to take the lead again. leviathan xelks | not so much sass this post. i think vince might be sick //shot MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

The hunter seemed to let it go when the demon told him that he didn't plan on dying. There wasn't anything he could do after all and he might as well not start another fight with the demon since they already seemed to butt heads a lot. It was an amusing thought however, when he thought about being the master of a demon who absolutely detested him to the last point of his health. To be able to make him do whatever he wanted for as long as he wanted was something Levi was going to hold over his head for quite a while.
Yet at the demon's comment to going into hunter territory the man simply scoffed at him. " You may outlive me, but if I die.. you're kinda screwed aren't you?" he asked raising a brow at the dark terrible thing. Leviathan wasn't afraid of the demon, even if he might have wanted that.. he wasn't going to be swayed by it. "you can kill whoever you want once I get my information. Hell you could kill every hunter in the world and I wouldn't give a shit. They tried to kill me, so I'm not going to give you hell if you kill them." he said shrugging a bit. Levi wasn't the kind of person to care about others like that, or their lives that they obviously couldn't protect themselves.
When the hunter had explained his past, he was a bit surprised that the demon didn't have something to say about it. He was expecting a bit of sass from him, but when none came he was a bit shocked. Levi wouldn't let the other know however as he quickly kicked in the door and blood seemed to smear the ground. Levi frowned some but hardly cared other than the fact that someone would probably be here to change guard soon enough. "No big deal, but the changing of guard may be here soon." he said calmly. He followed the demon out, but he too was surprised by the rather... lack of security in the hunter hq right now.
"Something must be going on that no one is here right now, but I could hardly care less." he said out loud for the other to hear. Levi moved from behind his demon as he headed to the left, looking for something he could use to defend himself in case it did come to that. Opening the weapons room door he let out a soft chuckle as it was unlocked and saw his sword propped against a wall. Stupid idiots he thought to himself for a moment grabbing it and closing the door again. "These guys don't go from the book i swear. " he commented putting his blade back at his side where it was meant to be.
"Alright, the exit should be just ahead. I assume more hunters will be up here so be ready for some kind of fight." he said quietly to the other as he drew his sword from the sheath he had just put at his side. There were still some stains from where he had killed and Levi made a note to clean it later since the idiots hadn't cleaned it.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ YOU KNOW, it wasn't exactly fun having a human master who wasn't at least a little afraid of him. Vincent frowned at the thought, Levi casually responding to his little jabs so cooly and without concern for any retaliation. It was obvious this human knew well enough about this arrangement and he was going to make it even more painfully so by reminding the demon of his limitations. Yes, he may outlive him. But he'd have to help this mortal accomplish his goal if he were ever to want his soul. And wouldn't getting so far to where this idiot was old and decrepit be so annoying should he just die before he could actually obtain it for himself? That would really add insult to injury. He simply rolled his eyes, not bothering to argue or answer his question, but his reaction might have said enough to satisfy this arrogant human. At the very least, he was told he could kill any other hunter they came across and Vincent was off to a good start, that poor sap under the door being his third for today! He was certainly going to have to keep count and if Levi knew what he was talking about (which wasn't something Vincent could necessarily argue about since he was a hunter), there would be more on the way. He was only slightly skeptical, of course, pointed ears twitching as he listened for any sounds that would alert him to upcoming company. It was eerily silent for some reason. Vince turned his attention off from that for now though, in favor of seeing what his new companion was doing. When his eyes rested on him again, he found the pale haired man with a new attatchment at his side. "A sword?" he questioned with a scoff. He honestly hadn't seen one of those in a while, at least in use for battles, anyway, humans having advanced from such weapons over the years. It was all about guns now. But, to each their own. He wouldn't judge. Too much. Still, it was surprisingly fitting? He couldn't quite understand why that was, but it certainly seemed like a weapon he'd use. He shrugged at the thought, his tail wiping behind him impatiently as the man finally decided it was time to get going. "I'm always ready." he assured with a smirk. He didn't need no silly weapons to aid him though. He could do quite fine on his own. "You, on the other hand, try not to get shot waving your stick around." he ordered. Not exactly wise of the human to bring a sword to a gun fight and while he'd normally care less, his soul was on the line. So he sort of had to make sure this idiot of a human didn't get himself killed which might be a task in itself. He sighed at the thought before making his way towards the direction the exit was meant to be, alert for anything that might pop out at them. If they were lucky, they could get out of here without any more distractions. Unfortunately the two proved just how unlucky they were with each other's presence alone. Oh well. Hope for the best, expect the worst! MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

When the other didn't respond he assumed that it would be a topic for a later time, or his answer was suitable enough to answer his questions for the time being. Either way, Leviathan didn't care at the moment and wouldn't mind if the demon didn't ask about it again. He didn't seem like the type to care much about others after all, and that was just fine with Leviathan to keep his thoughts and past to himself. The demon hardly seemed like the type to fully listen to the story anyway, as long as Levi gave him his soul, he couldn't care less.
At least he knew how to keep watch while the hunter managed to get his weapon back from the other room. It wasn't odd however when the demon questioned him on his weapon of choice, as many had done before him. "Yes a sword, if you have any doubts about it after I use it please let me know. " he said plainly. Generally when people saw him fight any doubts they had were silenced as he was much more deadly with a sword than he would ever be with a weapon like a gun. Gun's were a child's toy and were used by people who were afraid to fight and get dirty, unlike himself who didn't mind as long as his hands were covered.
The sound of the cockiness in the demons voice made the other sigh a bit. He would have to make sure to knock his demon down a few pegs when he got the chance to do so. "I will make sure I don't get shot.. and my stick will be more than useful at that." he said calmly as he stepped forward down the hall uncaring what the demon thought of him.. and how bad they already seemed to be getting along. Their personalities would definitely clash, but he could always train his cute little demon to do tricks and learn how to sit. That would be the first thing he would teach him when they got out of here.
Much like Vincent had predicted several shots rang out in the halls as they got closer to the exit, and Levi was more than in tune with the surroundings. Those that he could he easily avoided and the one that he couldn't well.. applying a slight coating of his water magic to his sword the hunter sliced right through the bullet both pieces successfully flying around him and landing somewhere behind them. "Guess you found your next prey, huh pup?" he mused half heartedly to the other. To be honest he was a bit bored by this, as none of them had proved any challenge whatsoever as a few hunters who had shot the bullets started running towards the rather awkward pair of demon and hunter.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ DID HE HIT A NERVE? Vincent smirked at the thought as his master had gotten a bit defensive over his lack of respect for his weapon choice. A sword was totally fine... Years ago whenever there weren't guns to contend with, but to each their own. As long as he didn't get himself killed, he could honestly care less. "Will do." he replied with a chuckle, not having much hope but had no problem allowing the human to try and impress such a foul demon like himself. It was obvious enough he was at least decent with the blade at any rate, given the fact he was still surviving and had enough experience as a hunter that would suggest he'd been fighting with one for a long while. Still, Vince wasn't about to just start tossing out compliments simply because this guy was his master. Don't be stupid. The only thing he was obligated to really do was follow orders and make sure this guy didn't die, which was all he really planned on doing until that soul was his. He simply followed after the human as he headed down the hall, the towering demon's tail swaying back and forth in an idle manner as he was actually starting to grow bored. He didn't want to give them too much credit, but he was expecting a bit more out of hunters. Maybe he just happened to visit on a bad day. He shrugged at the thought just as the sound of shots fired, successfully capturing the beast's attention as he worked to dodge the bullets himself, though not as graceful as the pale human had, a bullet managing to graze his arm. But how was Levi faring? Okay... Perhaps he was just a tad impressed by his swordsmanship. The notion made him roll his eyes, still not planning on admitting to it despite the fact it was just a tad harder to argue now after witnessing him literally cut a bullet in half. Still, the fight was still young so he wasn't about to say anything yet anyway and Levi had already spoken once more, words that caused Vince to look at him questioningly. Pup? He shook his head at the thought, not having the time to really question it at the moment. "I guess so." he sighed in a bored manner, ignoring the blood that was already beginning to slide down his arm as he turned his attention to the humans foolish enough to try and stop them. Wanting to get this over with and get out of this stinking place sooner, Vincent stepped past the sword weilding human to face off the approaching hunters. "I'll be sure to let one get through just for you." he smirked, treating this whole thing like a game, which it really might as well have been as far as he was concerned. With that said and done, his fists would erupt into flames before he'd charge towards the group of hunters, watching as they skidded to a stop and aimed their weapons at him as quickly as they could. Unfortunately not quick enough to save them from their inevitable fates. The hall in front of him would be completely engulfed in front of him, flames hiding him from their aim long enough that he could break through and strike at the first man who happened to be just in range. Rather than kill him though, he did as he promised and tossed the poor soul down the hall like a rag doll for his human 'companion' to deal with while he focused on the rest. Another wall of flame was thrown up in front of him but not before another shot managed to make contact, the demon hissing as the bullet hit him in the shoulder. Unfortunately for them, he was far too durable for a petty little bullet to slow him down and they'd figure that out soon enough as he retaliated, the wall flying forward and dazing the humans for just a moment before he'd charged forward, blazing claws slicing through one hunter as a kick sent another slamming into the wall behind him, nearly breaking it down with the impact alone. Levi got the feeling that the demon really didn't believe him, and that he in the end didn't approve. Levi could hardly care what his new demon thought about his weapon choice, as he would soon enough prove that a sword was much more useful than a gun. Sure a gun could be used farther, but he also referred to it as a cowards weapon since you needed no training to use it and you could fight from far away. Levi didn't go for that, and he was content to get his hands dirty... in a sense.. he couldn't actually get his hands dirty.
When the fighting had started however, Levi had instantly moved into a fighting stance... ready to take on the next problem they would have. The human couldn't help but notice that his cute little demon had gotten himself hurt in the open gun fire. "You need a band-aid over there?" he said to the demon to tease him ever so slightly since he had gotten off gracefully gun shot free and even cut one in half to ... okay try and impress him. Maybe Levi was showing off a bit more than normal since he wanted to prove to his demon that he really did know what he was talking about.
Levi was honestly surprised that the other didn't comment on his pet name for him, seemed now wasn't the best time. The demon promised that he would leave at least one for him, and Levi was content with that. So as his demon moved in front of him the hunter let him not making any protest to letting the other take care of most of them. Perhaps it was ironic that the demon used fire, and he water.. perhaps that was how their personalities would clash in the end. Only time would tell it seemed as Levi went down the path he had chosen without any regret.
"Your such a sweetheart." he called after the demon as he threw a hunter back at him. Levi almost seemed as bored as the demon as the hunter slowly stood up aiming his gun at Levi with shaking hands now. 'Who the hell are you people..' he managed to get out as Levi stepped forward towards him. "I feel almost hurt that you don't know who I am, but it doesn't really matter to tell as I have to kill you now since you got in our way." he said shrugging. The hunter responded shooting at Levi who only sighed and deflected most of them with his blade. He didn't focus on cutting them in half as his cute little demon was busy and he couldn't really show off.
"Do me a favor and die quickly please, I hate to drag these things out." he said calmly. The hunter rushed forward trying to take advantage of Levi as he talked, which only seemed to bore Levi more. The silver-haired hunter moved to the side and suddenly his blade was through the stomach of the other from behind. "How predictable." he grumbled a bit at the other, as he coughed up blood on the floor in front of them. "Would you like me to kill you quickly... or suffer bleeding out? I'll humor you.." he asked. The hunter growled some as blood coated down his mouth. "Fuck you." he hissed. Levi sighed and kicked the man on his back forcing him to the ground and his blade coming back out of his body blood sliding off in drips, from the water that coated it to keep it clean of the filthy blood of these idiots.
Without another word the hunter used his water to make the blade sharper and cut right through the bone and skin of the man's legs. He wouldn't be able to walk anymore and the blood would only make him bleed out quicker. The man screamed in pain as his legs were completely cut off. "Perhaps I could have helped you if you had asked nicely." Levi said leaving the man to writhe and bleed out on the floor. Flicking the rest of the man's blood off his blade with his water.. the hunter looked back over at his demon.
In his own world, he hadn't noticed his demon had gotten shot in the shoulder. "Ah, those naughty bullets hurt my cute demon." he said walking calmly back to his demon's side. "I'll have to make sure to get that out once we get out of here.. I'll even be kind enough to wrap it if you say please." he teased the other.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ WHAT A LOVING MASTER! Vincent simply rolled his eyes at the thought, not appearing to be too offended by the fact he'd gotten out of the line of bullets without even a scratch. He was just a tad impressed, though not enough to admit to it. Besides, it was but a scratch. The demon was incredibly durable and he had taken on far worse things in the past. He couldn't say the same for the human and while he probably could have taken a bullet to the head and lived, he couldn't say the same for his lovely new companion. But enough about their silly little contest, Vincent actually had to focus on not getting shot anymore, which hadn't been working too well considering he now had a bullet in his shoulder, but why stress the little details? With the other hunter down and out and the one in the wall barely there himself, Vincent walked over to finish the job, another wave of hunters taken care of. He'd turn then to see how Levi was doing, surprised to see he was already done. Mostly. He could see the half of a man still moving about, a good foot away from his legs though he wouldn't get much further losing all that blood. But he paid little attention to him, turning his attention back to his master with a quirked brow, eyes narrowing in unamusement as he was called cute. Oh yes, he was just fucking adorable right now, covered in blood and looking like a creature straight out of hell. "How cute of you to be concerned about my well-being." he played along though didn't seem nearly as convincing as Levi had. Did he even try? Not really. But he wasn't actually hurt either. Though that could change depending on how long that bullet stayed in there. "It's a souveneir." he claimed as he looked down to the hole in his shoulder, not seeming concerned about it being there, nor did he seem interested in pleading for his aid either. The human would like that too much and if Vincent was anything, he was difficult. "But let's work on getting out of here first before you make any plans." And more importantly before anyone else showed up. With that in mind he continued down the hall, expecting Levi to follow. In fact he even politely kicked a body out of the way for him, his tail continuing to sway behind him like a cat's. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

The hunter couldn't help but be completely amused at his new companion. Even if they had already stained their hands with the blood of many of his old comrades, he could hardly care less about them. The demon he had summoned however, that was something he was deeply amused with.. and by golly he would make sure to make the man's life as hell as possible in return for his soul. Well, in the process he would have to get his own revenge but that was something that wouldn't happen overnight so he might as well have some fun in the meantime.
A small smirk formed his face when the demon played along but wasn't nearly as good an actor. "Oh come now, if you're going to play along you have to put at least some feeling into it." he said teasing the other. It seemed they would be always at war with each other with whatever this was that they were doing. Silas wasn't really sure himself, but it was definitely something that kept his mind off of the fact that there were people trying to kill them right now. When the demon said it was a souvenir the hunter simply shrugged and casually switched pressure into one of his legs like he was reclining at a beach rather than trying to get out of a hunters hideout. "How thoughtful of them to give you something to keep out of this." he absently returned to the other.
When the man avoided his teasing Silas let it slide, as the demon did have a point. As he walked the hunter followed a gloved hand still on his sword that blood dripped from, and the hunter didn't even notice as the demon kicked a body out of the way. "The exit is just up ahead, we shouldn't have more problems as I think that was the only guards in this back area, they generally don't keep many people over here since only hunters know about it. " he said absently. Just as he said a door appeared just at the end of the hall with the four letters in red above the door that was exactly what they were looking for.
"Ah, there it is, that wasn't so hard."

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ AND NOW HE WAS JUDGING HIS ACTING SKILLS! How rude! It did cause the demon to smirk though, a very dark and unnerving sight with those teeth of his. "Oh yes, you are definitely the one to know about dramatics, desperately summoning a demon after all, for the sake of some petty revenge." he replied in a lighthearted tone. "I suppose we'll have plenty of time for you to teach me." he went on, though perhaps those weren't the best words to use. He might come to regret them later, but for now was enjoying this back and forth between them. But, once again, he really should be focusing on getting out of here. Hunters weren't really the kind you wanted to mess around with for too long, even for such powerful supernatural beings like himself. How fortunate he was to have his very own to look after from now on. He was so excited, you could really tell by the look on his bloodied face. Ignoring the little souvenir lodged into his shoulder for now as he made his way down the hall, scanning for that escape they were looking for. He'd chuckle as he explained the exit, how they had gotten through the worst of it and that the exit was in fact secret, to anything other than hunters, at least. "Should I feel grateful that I'm the first demon to know then?" he asked. Possibly, since he was kind of stuck in here now and would likely not be able to escape as easily otherwise. Then again, whose fault was it that he was here to begin with? Oh well. No matter. He was going to be free soon. Semi-free anyway. He kept his eyes fixed ahead, pointed ears twitching this way and that as he listened for the smallest of sounds that might indicate whether they were truly home free or not. But finally, after what seemed like forever they'd reach the aforementioned exit. "Easy enough, but pretty disappointing." he admitted as he stopped in front of the door. "I expected a little more trouble from the dreaded hunters." he snorted in wry amusement.
