 | Lotte hadn't been in New York very long, but she loved it so far. In the end, it meant that she really enjoyed the job that she had been given at the school. That along with the people that she had managed to meet along the way, one especially known as Kazmir. The man was her neighbor in the doorms, and she had met him because of his own passion for art, and it had just gone from there. With the upcoming festival, it was a chance for everyone to relax and of course that included the art teacher who seemed to generally be busy.
So the woman definitely wanted to spend more time with the other, mostly because she wanted to get to know him better. So the woman hadn't managed to see the other lighter haired male, to ask him to go with her. It honestly made her upset that she couldn't speak to him so instead she left a note that she had slipped under the others door asking him to meet her at the soccer field where the huge ferris wheel was to be put.
So as the night came, the woman had changed into a simple dress with a rose in her hair. The colors that vibrated off the colored ferris wheel was beautiful as even the sky was lit up with stars. "Its beautiful." the woman said softly as she was content to watch the vibrant colors sparkle from the metal object. " I really hope he shows up, it would a crime to miss something so beautiful as this." she whispered slowly finding a seat on the soft cut grass of the soccer field with a small note book in her hands. Without thinking she flipped open the book and started on a simple sketch of the scene the way she saw it. | | | | | | BY EDWARD OF GS |

 A note lies at the base of his door.
It was rare for him to get messages in any manner than through text or email these days, though it wasn't too long ago when handwritten letters were the only feasible method of communication. The dark lines on this paper would incite a feeling of familiarity, but no grand flashbacks. Kaz wouldn't be able to function if he didn't keep his mind situated in the present. "Hm," he mused to himself at the innocent request. Perhaps having a partner at the school festival wasn't such a bad idea. It would certainly be a welcome distraction from monitoring students all night.
The brightness of the carnival rides and booths stung his eyes, retracting the comfortable veil of night. Kaz had seen pictures of carnivals before and could understand how they could be made beautiful, but through his lens of the world they were simply loud and glaring.
It didn't take long to find her; from living next door to the art teacher, he had been able to commit her scent to memory. Footfalls silent on the grass, he approached the back of her sitting form. He could see the picture from over he shoulder. Dark lines on paper, expressing the world through her mind. Perhaps that explained the handwritten nature of the note.
"Do you always keep a sketchbook on you?" he asked before moving to sit next to her, "I hope I haven't kept you waiting."

 | Lotte hadn't gotten very far in her sketch, mostly finishing the main lines of it and getting some of the shading in when the voice seemed to sound behind her. The woman couldn't help but jump slightly from the how silent he had been, but she should have been used to that. The woman found that the history teacher was quiet most of the time, which also seemed to transfer into his walking. On a normal occasion she probably wouldn't have been startled if she hadn't have been so in tune to the art that she was working on when he had shown up.
A small laugh came from her as she picked up the pencil from the trimmed grass and put it behind her ear. "It kinda seems like that huh?" she said laughing some. It was hardly ever a time when she didn't have some kind of sketchbook with her.. but maybe that was because she just always had the want to draw. It was a passion, something she wanted to share with the world, since she found connecting with people through her art was sometimes easier than actually speaking to people. "Better than bringing tarot cards everywhere right?" she asked.
Thinking of that, she really needed to put up some new discounts and prices at her store... A soft sigh came as she looked back at the lights that shone from all around her as he sat next to her. "No, you are perfectly fine.. I was distracted anyway." she said waving her sketchbook with a small laugh. In the end, Lotte knew that sometimes it was easier to just draw than try to socialize.. as she wasn't the best at it. In all honesty, she was surprised she hadn't managed to scare of the man that had come to join her tonight.
"Hopefully you weren't doing to much, that I interrupted you to come out here tonight." she slowly started to continue. She didn't want it to get awkward with no conversation after he had just got here, but she wasn't all too sure exactly what to talk about. "The kids have all been really excited about it, but I'm not so sure if it was because of the festival itself or because they got out of their classes." she said with another laugh. Oh boy, this was really starting to get awkward wasn't it?
The woman didn't realize that she was gripping her notebook a little tighter than normal. 'Oh I'm really bad at this, I hope he doesn't hate me too much.' the woman thought to herself all the while keeping the same smile on she normally wore as much as the flowers in her hair. | | | | | | BY EDWARD OF GS |
