▼
i am a EIGHTEEN year old FEMALE SUBORDINATE WEREWOLF. i am currently a FOURTH YEAR STUDENT. i am PANSEXUAL. a lot of people tend to call me HELL, MERRY MONDY OR MOON MOON FOR SOME DUMB REASON.
PERSONAL
▼
[ABILITIES]
• quick regeneration: can heal minor damage almost as soon as its inflicted
• canine communication: the ability to speak to any creature of the canine varity via telepathy.
[PERSONALITY]
Helen is a person that just seems simple. She isn't offended by it.
She smiles, constantly bright, and laughs loud. She is noisy and she is the type of person that people know where she is because she's just so memorable. With ill-fitting clothes, with a boisterious laugh, and a rude mouth at times, she seems like a buffon. Her inside voice is the equivalent of yelling across the room often times, and it seems at times like she's just so oblivious to things. She is intelligent though - but not with books. Books bore her. She's not a thinker, but a doer - that's probably why she doesn't think before she jumps into it a lot. For an example, that time with the stapler.
She's pretty good at hiding her own pain, preferring to take on other people's pain for them. She's a great listenner if someone can sit her down and get her to listen. She has a bunch of advice, just stuff she's heard people say over the years. She doesn't sugar coat anything, and her filter doesn't seem to work on the 'polite' section of things. If she thinks you're trash, she'll call you trash. She's almost honest to a fault, and is overwhelming in her determination when she wants to get something done. She is very, very stubborn and will often go to extremes without thinking about it. She is kind of lazy, preferring to take naps in the sun or in the park then do her homework.
It's almost important, but Helen is outside a lot. She's healthy, active, and she plays a lot of sports. She also loves to play with kids, being that elder sister that gives piggy back rides or just tosses the kids up in the air. She's protective of those she loves, and a lot of people often think of her as a giant puppy. What's funny is that sometimes she does the most stupidest thing, like asking a dumb question, or doing something that most people just get exasperated at. It's to the point her family and friends refer to her as Moon Moon, after someone got ahold of that meme and showed it around. When she gets flustered and embarrassed, which happens at weird times, she just ends up flailing and running off.
She's not built for pressure, her fight or flight system often turning to fight and large amounts of bravado. She seems intensely skittish, reacting extremely hard to being scared. Last person that tried to jump scare her ended up getting punched. The one before that got kicked in the balls. Generally, it's best to let Helen know you're coming or you might get harmed. Although, people get a kick out of teasing her or scaring the crap out of her. She tends to become clingy when scared. She also likes to keep a tough facade up - she often immediately denies moments of weakness, and pretends they didn't happen. She also does her best to keep her promises, since she takes any promises she makes very seriously.
Because she cares for her precious people fiercely and with extreme amounts of loyalty, willing to even die for them if they wanted her to do so.

The looks

[APPEARANCE]
Helen is a beautiful girl, in perhaps a rough tomboy way.
Her skin is a dark tone, almost tanned but not quite. It looks rather smooth, but when one gets closer, they can and will notice a myriad of scars on her body. She'll laugh when people point them out, and each scar has a story, she insists. These little marks show perhaps more of her nature - some might even find it beautiful. The dark skin suits her well, with her height and her nearly stocky body. She stands at six feet and an inch, much taller then the average male at times. Her shoulders are wide and under the skin there are muscles. Just touching her as she moves is enough to feel it, although it doesn't really show on her body all that much. High metabolism, she claims with a laugh.
And she laughs a lot - her face is so expressive. A harsh kind of face, with strong features. She looks like she'll eat someone if they look at her wrong, but it's disarming because of her startling wide eyes. Wide eyes that seem mostly brown, but sometimes take a shade of amber. Her other has the same eyes and she pulls out a picture to prove it - and she says she knew other people with the same thing. And it's true, the humans eyes are strange and unique like that at times. Her expressions are an open book, the curve of her mouth or position her eyebrows always telling people her general mood.
And most times, happiness is on her features, a sort of carefree gung-ho attitude. But people notice when she turns her head, the flashing white of her canines. She eats a lot of meat in her family, and it's true, so that's why they're sharp. Deflect and forget. Her hair is surprisingly long, to her shoulders at the least, and brown. Brown, sharp, messy and all over the place. She always looks like she just got out of bed, with her lazy, rumpled clothes and the hair that is never, ever tamed. Her weight is a bit lower then one would think, not that she'll give a number thank you. It's rude to ask a lady how much she weighs!
But most people just stare at her chest. She's well endowed that much is sure, and her body has a nice shape - despite the rough set of her shoulders and posture, her hips are shapely. Her legs are long, and so are her fingers. She seems to often be coiled, ready. She moves with a grace that people think she shouldn't have, due to her loud mouth. Her clothes are often ill-fitting, but when someone tries to fix it, she swats it away. She likes it like this, she says. What's more noticeable, is the locket she wears at her throat, and the stainless steel bracelet she always wears. When asked, she just gives a sad smile - unusual on her face - and says they're from the most precious people in her life.
She always leaves it at that.

THE PAST

[HISTORY]
Helen Mary Monday.
She was born to her mother on July 30th, just as the seven month died. She isn't the only child - she has a little sister and brother, along with a half-brother and a step-brother on her father's side and two half-sisters on her mother's side, along with two step-brothers - so the famil is often very big and very loud. Mostly because her mother and her father met and married, despite their previous marriages turning into divorces or simply their beloved dying. In a way, sadness always touched the house, as her father held a room in dedication to the memory of their spouses.
Her mother had married one man, gave him two kids, and when he died in a car accident, took in his boys. Her father had divorced his first wife after she went to jail, and took their son after she passed. Then his second wife passed away and he took in her boy as well. And then Helen was born a year after. But that's the first memories she has - loud noises, shouting and the laughter of children. She'd always been in a noisy place and even now, she feels awkward when it's so very silent. A family's warmth was irreplaceable she thought. As a child, she was bright and excited and was perhaps one of the unluckiest - she had broken two bones by the age of seven, and managed to earn her reputation as a little hellion. If anything, eventually, her family moved - or planned to.
Helen, angry that her family was leaving the place where all her friends were, decided to run away. At the age of ten.
She wandered into the woods that her parents had forbidden her to enter, and found a nice tree to climb and sleep in for the night. She was a wild, nature loving girl, so she didn't mind it as much. It was a bit cold, but she was fine the next morning. Unaware that her parents hadn't realized she left just yet, she went deeper into the woods. She had heard stories of animals in the woods, and she got on well with all of the dogs around mostly. She liked animals and maybe they'd be friendly to her. She was naive and it suited her, a bright smile and a happy hum as she got further into the expansive forest. She didn't know that people had gone missing in it recently, or that the howls she heard at night were worrying the families living near by.
No to Helen, it was something to explore. Her parents, assuming she had gone to a friend's house, had finished getting things set up and just assumed that the friend would bring their daughter to them.
She was in the forest for her second night, when the growling sound of an animal caught her off guard. The child looked up, and noticed a large creature. It looked like a wolf, but it was bigger - and it would've been scary to anyone. Initially, she was scared, but then she noticed something - that hunter's trap she almost tripped in, it was around the wolf's leg. Hesitating, she approached the wolf, keeping her hands where it could see them. Slowly pushing it for the creature to sniff at her, she pulled back when it's jaws snapped at her. She took her time, and eventually, the animal seemed to relax. Slowly, and surely, she figured out how to open the trap, and freed the wolf's leg. Ripping off a piece of her skirt, she bandaged the wolf's paw, and brought it to the nice tree roots she had found.
She had been about to leave the wolf there, when it growled, and a paw wrapped around her, pushing the girl near it. Afraid at first, she waited for the creature's breath to even out - and then fell asleep herself.
When she woke up, she was alone, and her arm hurt. Looking down at it, she noticed a large bite mark. To this day, that bite mark remains as a scar. But Helen wasn't about to give up - the wolf had been hurt, and she was even more curious about the forest. Climbing the tree, she found her little backpack with the food in it, and ate cautiously. Eventually, she wandered out of the forest, into a large clearing - and before her gaze, there was a small camp of people. What had been surprising, is when one of them literally jumped in surprise. She just waved, and walked up to them, and asked them direction to the nearest city. When they wanted to send her to where her parents lived, she shook her head, and just asked for the next closest city. Eventually, despite their looks of unease, and the bite mark on her arm throbbing, she started to wander off.
She collapsed from the fever shortly after.
When she next awoke, it was to one of the guys she had spoken with. After they had given her water, they asked what happened. She explained about the wolf, and seeing their faces, she was confused. They told her then: she had become a werewolf. They brought her to their alpha, and he seemed harsh at first. But when he saw her, a sadness entered his eyes - she couldn't place why, but the child felt he was sad because of her. She spent three years with that tribe, learning about her wolf and how to control it. How to be together with it and how to realize that she wasn still human underneath it all. Eventually, she remembered her parents, her large family - and hesitant, she asked her pack if she could go see where they were. They agreed, almost happily, but with a cautionary warning to find a pack to calm her down. Taking their wise words to heart, she arrived in the city of her childhood for the first time in three years, and ended up at a friend's house.
Their reaction was surprise, and then sobbing. They had thought she had been kidnapped, and for the first time, Helen realized she would have to lie. So she did. Nobody blamed her - in fact, they helped her get in touch with her parents and even go back to live with them. But her time out there, away from society had changed her a bit - she seemed wild in some aspects. She picked school back up, but she felt constantly caged, and often times she seemed to loose her temper. She wandered the streets to find out what she would need, to see where she could go. Nothing felt right - even her home felt stuffy. Her parents were paranoid slightly, but they relaxed eventually after she snapped at them. Her siblings were out and about in the world. But nothing felt right - nothing soothed her and it irritated her.
A year ago, she came across an older man. She immediately smelled it off him - that familiar scent of her kind. But there was something even more - a nostalgic smell of a forest, a night spent in warmth. It was the wolf that had bitten her, all those years ago. Chasing after him, she finally managed to corner him, and wrenched the answers out of him - only to notice that he wasn't an alpha or a beta. That he had simply wanted to thank the girl, but instinct drove him to bite her, to claim this child has he always had wanted one. And then, as the coup de grace, he presented her with a letter, saying he got her a spot in an academy that was filled with supernaturals and slowly humans. She was angry at first, but eventually she relented - and then presented the letter to her parents, and begged for them to let her go.
Eventually, they did. She transferred in.
