She'd been staring at it for awhile now, the street sign. Something about the name looked oddly familiar to her but she just couldn't quite place it, couldn't figure it out. This was not uncommon for the phoenix of course, she had such issues a lot of the time. People, places, names, objects, all kinds of things invoked memories or ideas, things she could quite remember. It didn't matter how often it happened though, she never quiet got used to the feeling.
The young woman furrowed her brows and puffed up her cheeks as she stared at the name. Those silly letters meant something she just knew it. Perhaps it wasn't important to her though, rather it was important to someone else entirely. That was always possible. Gosh it was so much trouble having such a muddled memory sometimes.
Maiya turned on her heal with a huff. Looking down the sidewalk she searched for someone, anyone she could question about the street. "Hey you!" she waved to a stranger, not unlike her really. "Do you know of something that happened on this street by chance?" an odd question for them probably, but that wasn't of any concern to Maiya.
