DEMONS
The beings of the Underworld. Of Hell. These creatures are the everlasting ideal of all that is evil and sinful. Since the beginning of time, stories of foul demons have haunted humanity, taking it's place in various religions, either for or against them. They are the embodiment of sin, the opposing end of angels. However, not all demons are quite like what religion and folklore teach. They have varying beliefs and attitudes, varying ulterior motives and alignments. Not all appear as evil as the humans speak - but that doesn't mean you should let your guard down around them. A popular piece of advice says: Never invite a demon inside your home. Demons are not immortal creatures. While they have an infinite life span, that doesn't mean that they cannot be killed. Quite the contrary. While it is less likely to kill a demon than other races, they are still affected by various things. The foremost would be weapons or items with angelic or holy powers. Their opposing side has the most effect upon them and vice versa. Please note that demons are reborn entities who had a life before they became demons. Generally this life is a human life but, there are exceptions for other races. If you create a demon from a race other than human, please ask a staff member first. [types of demons] • elemental demon: a being that is the personification of one of the four major elements: water, fire, earth or air. these demons start with the elemental ability of their type. • alp: a spirit associated with nightmares • hellhound: a demonic canine spirit with a venomous bite • there are countless other types of demons, such as imps, pucks, and bajangs, but there are no special additional abilities associated with them FACT SHEET
NORMAL ABILITIES • flight: the ability to use advanced levitation or wings to fly. • magic absorption: the ability to absorb a portion of the magical energy, latent or otherwise, that all beings possess. • superior strength: self-explanatory • superior stamina: self-explanatory • durability: makes the user harder to harm physically • corruption: the ability to pass off ill-will and emotions onto other beings • contract seal: the ability to form a master-servant relationship with another species with binding terms. the user can be called upon and commanded by the other, but, in exchange, their soul will belong to the user when they die. PURCHASABLE ABILITIES • venom generation: a natural venom that sickens those injected with it [auto if hellhound] • horror: the ability to be able to invade dreams and invoke a sense of horror and terror upon the victim [auto if alp] • relay: the ability to send thoughts to a everyone within a certain radius to the user • fire manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate fire [auto if a fire element demon] • water manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate water [auto if water element demon] • air manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate air [auto if air element demon] • earth manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate earth at ones own whim [auto if earth element demon] • ice manipulation: the ability to freeze water and control ice [must first have water manipulation] • shadow manipulation: the ability to conjure and manipulate shadows. most efficient at nighttime. • shadow walker: the ability to travel from shadow to shadow. allows the user to traverse great speeds and distances through them.
