He was playing hooky…again. Not that he was totally at fault because seriously everyone had started getting at him the minute they’d seen him. He didn’t know what it was about today but even his so called friends had been treating him a bit harsher than usual so without further ado he’d slipped away and gone to sulk somewhere else. He still wasn’t a hundred percent sure how he’d landed himself where he was now in the middling of the residential area but hell…he wasn’t going to complain. Anything to keep his mind off the shitty day he’d been having and hoping his boss wouldn’t call him and ask him to work today. As much as he liked his job and getting to rough people up every once in a while he liked having a day to just relax and unwind. After all remaining the way he currently was, was practically asking for trouble.
Sanguine eyes roamed over the houses, paying little attention as he walked the streets considering where to go. He supposed he could head towards Time Square, whichever way that was, and go window shopping even if he had money to actually buy things he rarely ever actually spent it. The thought of money made his mind turn towards thoughts of his master and the young hellhound allowed a scowl to mar his handsome features. Even the thought of the vampire made him bare his teeth for a split second although he was rather grateful that he’d been sent away to this school so he had some semblance of freedom even if it wasn’t true freedom.
Danya’s mind wandered several different directions but the main path was on the fact that he didn’t even feel like being out and about. He was tempted to turn around and find a way downtown so he could visit a certain someone and curl up without worry of being scolded…well mostly. He probably wouldn’t approve of the fact Danya had skipped school. However, the desire to actually go through with that idea was cut short when he was suddenly bumping into someone and he let out a startled sound, jumping back slightly disorientated as he tried to figure out what happened, As he looked up to see who he’d managed to crash into he decided that today was definitely not his day.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious The demon was feeling just a tad restless, finding that simply sitting in his den was not exactly too appealing today. It was far too quiet and far too dull which simply called for impromptu planning! Of course it wasn't much of a plan, Vincent simply leaving his apartment in favor of hitting the streets, deciding to let his feet carry to him towards anything that might catch his interest. It had carried him somewhere, alright. He just wasn't exactly sure if he was to be impressed or not. In fact he really just felt annoyed, glaring down at the pale haired male as he yelped. Oh, this was a pleasant surprise. "You should really watch where you are going." he 'politely' advised. The look in his eyes were not so kind, but at least he didn't lash out at the kid for even daring to bump into him like that. Not yet, anyway. "Where the fuck's your leash?" he questioned, a question that might have seemed out of place had the demon not known he'd just bumped into a hellhound. Surely there were laws about letting an animal roam freely. Even if that animal happened to be a large dog demon from hell. Oh yeah…today was definitely not his day as he looked up slightly into the face of the demon infront of him. If he’d been in his true form right now his ears would be pressed so closely to his skull it probably would have looked like he didn’t have any. He was so not in the mood to deal with this particular demons attitude but he forced himself to wear his usual grin as he watched the other carefully. He let out a short but rude snort at the other demon’s ‘polite’ advice and promptly answered with a very sweet, “Is that what you tell all the people you bumped into??” His smile got a little sharper around the edges as his smile widened and he continued to give him an innocent look as he chirped all too happily considering his current mood. “Well if you do it’s no wonder you don’t have many friends and you’re such a grump.”
He was trying, give him some credit.
It wasn’t like he was the one who’d thrown the first barb anyway. He was simply matching him tic for tac after all. At the next question the smile immediately dropped from his lips and any humor was lost as a flare of rage rose up for a moment and his lip curled menacingly. That had hit far too close to a sore spot considering his entrapment within a binding contract. His Master had called it an invisible leash sometimes and the older male had hit a little too close for the younger’s liking. “Probably in the same place where you got that stick shoved.” The words were a low growl and he’d be practically bristling if he’d been in his real form.
Danya could feel the flare simmer back down and he took a deep breath, letting it out through his nose and feeling it flare. He untensed his body, unsure of when exactly all the muscles had coiled as though ready to spring. He was still unused to other demons, having not been around many since his early puphood before his Master bound him. He no longer really knew how to act around them or how to feel about them other than the default suspicion or amusement.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Eyes narrowed as a threatening look crossed the demon's features. They both knew very well that the mutt was the one to blame! Not that he exactly helped any since he could have very well avoided the collision had he been paying attention himself, but that was besides the point! "Ouch!" he mocked hurt, putting a hand over the area his heart should have been. "I've never heard that one before." he went on, sarcasm practically dripping off his tongue. The demon hardly had any interest in friends anyway and if people didn't like his 'grumpy' attitude then they could kiss his ass for all he cared. So the attempts to wound him were a bit flawed. The hellhound would have to try harder than that if he wanted to offend the older demon. For example, his comment about the leash seemed to have hit a nerve and red eyes sparked with delight as he watched the dog's expression fall into a very angry snarl. "If looks could kill~" he smirked, clearly pleased with himself for upsetting the ever annoying lovable Danya. The demon had it coming as far as Vincent was concerned and he wasn't too fazed by the comment either. If anything it only seemed to encourage him knowing he'd gotten the hound worked up. But he wasn't a fool. As much as the demon would have liked poking and prodding the poor pup further, he decided against it should that temper flare too far out of control. He was bored, but he wasn't looking for a fight, even if the way he was behaving might have suggested otherwise. "No need to get all worked up, pup." he spoke with a chuckle, stepping back and crossing his arms over his chest casually. As much as he wanted to tease him, he could understand where the demon was coming from. To an extent, at least. He hadn't a contract that lasted as long as the younger male, but he knew how taxing it could be nonetheless. That didn't mean he'd be going too easy on him though. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Danya tensed just the slightest when a threatening look crossed the other male’s features but otherwise he tried not to let any outer uncertainty show. He was still a child compared to other demons, still just exiting puphood and entering adolescents. So while he was strong there lay even greater strength in age and Vincent was certainly older than him. While he occasionally drove the other male up a wall he wasn’t stupid enough to actually test his temper while his own was so explosive at the moment. The last thing anyone needed was a fight between two demons in the middle of civilian view. He’d never hear the end of it from Royce and hell knew what his master would do.
The younger male rolled his eyes at Vince’s exaggerated ‘hurt’ and snorted rudely. Keeping the innocent smile on his lips as he murmured, “Cute, does that little act work well with your bitches?” Okay so maybe he wasn’t actually trying as hard as he could and allowing himself to vent on the taller male. So sue him. He wasn’t in the mood to play along today and act like everything was alright. This was clearly showing through in the next moment when the other male hit a nerve.
The albino colored hound huffed softly at the male’s words after his rather scathing look and flash of teeth with his lip curl. Giving him a dull look once he calmed himself some and got his flaring temper under control once more. “Don’t flatter yourself. If looks could kill you’d be at the very bottom of my list. You’re not that important.” His tone was bland and at some point he began examining his nails in a clear display of boredom that didn’t match up at all with the emotions roiling around within his mind. A small part of him wondered when he’d gotten so good at pretending…and then a little sour part of his mind reminded him of his current predicament. Of course he’d have use of that particular skill with being a vampires fucking ‘bitch’.
His attention was dragged back to the present moment when Vincent spoke up again and he flashed a bit of teeth at him in clear display of annoyance. Unlike most of the students Danya was still very much wild under his human guise no matter how much he was able to pretend he was one. From the way he walked to the way he showed certain emotions showed pure predator and primal energy. It didn’t help that when he was around other supernaturals he tended to allow himself to lapse in his human acting. Sanguine colored eyes fell back to Vincent and he studied the male for a moment before he asked, “Where were you going anyway?” An idea was slowly forming in the others mind, Vincent was someone besides Nenet that he didn’t mind being an asshole with…who better to tag along with and vent a little?

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Not to say that Danya wasn't always a total dick whenever the two had managed to run into each other, but today seemed rather different. Something seemed to be off with the younger demon and while Vince could most certainly sense it, he wasn't about to let himself get concerned over this sad excuse of a hellhound and would only continue to poke and prod at him while his armor was already a bit weakened. But was he always this weak with his comebacks? That he wasn't so sure of, but the attempt did make him chuckle. "I don't know.." he began, rubbing his chin in a thoughtful manner. "You tell me." he smiled. Well Danya was a bitch, so he'd certainly be the one to ask, right? He was sure his master would have agreed as well. "Important enough to have stopped you." he argued with a scoff. "You could have already been headed home to your master with your tail between your legs by now, yet here you are making laughable attempts at comebacks." Vincent might have been a bit more sympathetic were he in the kid's shoes, but since he wasn't contracted to anyone at the moment, he wasn't going to relent on using his current slavery to mess with him, especially since he was clearly just a glutton for punishment at the moment. "I'm flattered, really." he smirked deviously. Not looking for a fight, no, but if Danya was going to insist on playing with him, the elder demon wasn't going to back down right away, especially since he found this situation far more enjoyable than the hound did. Surprisingly however, the snarling stopped long enough for the other demon to ask where he was going, a question that caused the dark haired male to quirk a puzzled brow. "Wouldn't you like to know.." he chuckled. But despite not seeing the point in dignifying the boy with a response, he humored him anyway. "Wherever's calling." he answered simply, an answer which really didn't explain much at all but an answer nonetheless. "Why?" he turned the tables, curious as to why he even wanted to know. Well if there was one way to piss off a male hound it was to call him a ‘bitch’ or insinuate that he was one in some form or manner. Amusingly enough, Danya was too caught off guard when Vince turned the question back on him and the younger male paused in the middle of beginning a retort. His mouth shut with an audible click and he blinked at the other male for a moment before the comeback registered. However, instead of vicious anger that usually would have accompanied that insult Danya allowed a vicious little smile to curl his lips, a low growling chuckle accompanying the expression as he quirked a brow at the other male. “Well…” The smile stretched out a bit more and he cocked his head to the side in a rather canine manner as he piped up innocently, “…Are you offering, Vincent? I didn’t know you were hitting on me.”
He was a little shit and he didn’t give one damn fuck.
Danya flinched harshly at having his predicament thrown in his face by someone who didn’t know the full details and having it used against him. It fucking hurt. However, as soon as the hurt had come it was swallowed up by the ever simmering dark rage living within him and unthinkingly he allowed it to surface. The shadows condensing around him threateningly as his eyes flashed dangerously and he glared at Vincent. His voice was a low dark growl as he spoke carefully, “Be careful, Vincent. I may be younger but I’m no less dangerous. I shared that out of faith, don’t speak of what you don’t know especially considering how your own situation turned out.” The snow haired young man could take a lot when it came to Vincent’s barbs but his situation with that vampire was one subject he’d never allow someone to use against him or throw in his face without repercussion. He’d soon as kill someone than have it used to embarrass or hurt him.
However, as soon as the rage surfaced it was gone and slipping back under the tight control he always kept it in. The shadows around him fading to the soft gray they usually was and the bored expression back on his features as he folded his arms behind his head nonchalantly. There was no signs of life around them so he’d been lucky but he silently reprimanded himself for allowing his anger control.
The younger male snorted rudely, “Yeah actually I would considering I asked.”
He rolled his eyes at the other male before cocking his head to the side once more, nose flaring at the smell of sulfur and paprika that usually accompanied the males scent. At his inquiry as to why he wanted to know the ruby eyed male shrugged, “I’m bored so I figured I might as well tag along and piss you off.” It was nothing but blunt honesty.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Was those words meant to derail him? If so, it hadn't done the trick, the demon laughing at the mere notion. For what he was, Danya wasn't that bad looking. His human form, at any rate. "I'm not usually in to bestiality." he began with a smirk. "But maybe if you begged for it I might be kind enough to show you a real master." he teased What could he say? Vincent was a bit of a whore. But now wasn't the time to go serenading the pup with his devilish charms, especially since they were kind of in the middle of a pointless argument. Maybe if he didn't piss off the hound too much that might be something he'd look into if he were ever in the mood. As it stood now, however, he was more than content simply messing with him while he seemed to be in such a vulnerable spot. But he hit a bit too hard this time and it was evident. The anger practically radiating off of the hound managed to even send a shiver down the elder demon's spine, a fact that made his grin widen in awe. Such a ferocious puppy! He was half tempted to see how much further he could go, the hellhound certainly looking like he were on the brink of losing it. What fun would that be? Sending a demonic dog on a furious rampage? Sounded like a blast! But he knew better. Danya was correct, being rather dangerous, even more so when angry. While Vince had no doubts he'd be able to hold his own against the younger demon, he wasn't too sure he wanted to deal with any venomous bites today. "Oh alright!" he chuckled, holding his hands up in a defensive manner. "No need to get your panties in a wad, I was only playing with you." he admitted. "A word to the wise though, I wouldn't go telling just anybody about your... predicament. Out of faith of all things!" Why? Well he should know now why it wasn't a good idea, he was just fortunate Vincent was such a kind soul! "Are you really that lonely?" he teased lightly. Of all the people he could try to tag along with, it had to be Vincent, right? He wasn't sure whether to feel honored or insulted, as he could have very well been a last choice. Either way, he didn't think too much into it, simply walking past the pale haired male. "Please don't tell me you've been trying to piss me off this whole time." he taunted with a smirk. It seemed like he'd allow the company so long as he 'behaved' as much as a demon could anyway. Danya Ilarion | way to feed his ego :P vince is such a fucking asshole lol MADE BY VEL OF GS

Really what was it with people and mistaking his kind for their domesticated canine cousins? One day he was going to have to show people why exactly that mistake shouldn’t be made as they were far from those flea bitten menaces. Quirking an eyebrow at the male who insinuated he was good in bed Danya just gave him an indulgent smile as he said with no lack of humor, “I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed then. I’ve been told I don’t really do the ‘begging’ bit very well. You want begging get yourself one of these human’s canine companions.” Since the other was so quick to bring bestiality into the game he figured he might through in a little barb in there just for good effort.
Of course the atmosphere between them was a continuous raging water. Sometimes it was calm and then other times it was a raging storm on the brink of turning full tsunami. Their relationship was truly a strange one that was for sure but Danya enjoyed it for the most part and the little moment of allowing his temper to flare for that brief instance, scenting the other male’s excitement and desire to test it, had done wonders for his mood. Then again whenever he had these little outbursts when he was having his off days always improved his mood and seeing as since Vincent was another demon he’d allowed it to flare a little more. Previous tenseness and raging emotions were calming and upon Vincent’s next words Danya snorted rudely. “Yes, well considering you’re the only one who even knows other than that blood stain upon the earth, I think I’ve been quite careful with who I’ve shared any details pertaining to that with.” Danya might be a lot of things but he wasn’t stupid enough to just go around telling everyone about that.
As simple as it could be for him to get help by having someone kill the vicious fucker, they could very well use it against him in worse ways than Vincent occasionally did. It was why he hadn’t actually told anyone the full story, not even the demon in front of him.
Danya snorted rudely and gave the older demon a flat look as he passed him by, falling into step after a moment of consideration. “Please feel free not to flatter yourself. You’re simply someone I bumped into and the only person I happen to know outside of the school I’m currently playing hooky at.” Hopefully, Royce didn’t find out but knowing the school and how they liked to report to the darn Fallen Angel he’d probably end up hearing it when he next saw the blonde haired male. Joy.
Ruby eyes gave the other another flat look as he said bluntly, “Comparing this to the other times I piss you off has it felt like I’ve been trying?” Really he was insulted that the other would think so little of him that, sure in the beginning he’d tried to play along but at some point he’d simply given up. He shoved his hands in his baggy jean pockets and yawned tiredly, rather sharp canines flashing for a moment. Danya gave the other male a curious look as he spoke up in boredom, “You’ve been a bit of a stranger lately. Work has you busy?” He licked his lips at the thought of the souls he could be devouring if he made contracts. He’d been told before that demons didn’t usually devour souls they were meant to collect, although it was a little more common in hellhounds it still wasn’t something done often. Another apparent abnormality that he had no doubt was brought up because of his situation.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Why was he not surprised? Well he wasn't entirely disappointed either, always finding situations like this more fun whenever the other party posed a challenge. Of course that was probably mostly his need to dominate talking. At the suggestion of finding an actual dog, Vincent simply rolled his eyes. "Well it wont be as much fun without a challenge." he frowned. A regular canine would lack the attractive attitude this son of a bitch had. Then again that probably wasn't a bad thing either. Still, he wasn't about to go trying to bed a dog. He wasn't that sex crazed. "I still can't tell if I should feel honored about that or not." he commented offhandedly as he retrieved a cigarette, snapping his fingers to ignite the tobacco stick. He still was not sure why the male had felt like telling him about his situation to begin with, but he was kind enough to not share it. Really, he just had no reason to bring it up to anyone else. And maybe somewhere deep down he did feel for the kid, knowing how shitty some contracts could be. The thought made his back hurt and in turn made him take a deep drag, letting the nicotine put him at ease. "Enough about that over-sized tick though." he insisted with a wave of his hand, for once content with moving away from the subject. It would probably make Danya less likely to turn into an oversized dog and try to take a bite out of him. "What a rebel!" he laughed, still amused by the fact that Danya actually attended the Academy. "I might have to play the role of responsible adult and escort you to school." he smirked. "Want to make sure you get a proper education, after all." The demon still didn't understand why someone would want to succumb to something so stupid like that. He had never gone and he was doing pretty alright in his opinion! But maybe most people weren't as skilled at acting as he was. Oh well, their loss, he certainly didn't envy their fate. Vincent took a moment to consider their history as the boy spoke before offering a simple shrug. "Fair enough." he began, knowing that his dear friend was rather weak today. "You sick or something? Cause I swear to fuck if you get me sick I'll kick your ass." Of course demons, well most of the 'mythical' creatures for that matter, weren't as susceptible to illnesses like humans were. Still, there was absolutely off about Danya today that he just couldn't place his finger on. Maybe the fucker got a new haircut? Vincent would never be able to tell, looking into that ghostly pale hair too long gave him a headache. When the question about his happenings came up, Vince hummed in thought before finally deciding to humor the kid with a response. "More or less." he chuckled, purposely not going into details. From his cover job as a bodyguard to his natural job of taking souls from desperate humans. Of course he liked to cause trouble on his off time too but he figured he'd keep that much to himself as it was pretty obvious what the hound was more focused on. "Down, Fido!" he groaned, rolling his eyes. What a beast. The hellhound was getting a bit too excited over nothing though as unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you looked at it) he hasn't been making too many contracts as of late. Since he'd made a point to limiting his services to humans, he's found actually presenting the opportunity a bit more difficult these days. You couldn't just pop up in a cloud of smoke anymore like a fucking genie without getting some odd looks or immediate screaming and running. This is what he resigned to, but at least he still had his collection of souls to keep him sated for the most part. Souls that he was sure Danya might actually become envious about if he was really that starved. Better to keep that to himself as Vince wasn't really the type to share. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Danya gave the older male an amused smirk, putting his hand over his chest where one of his largest scars were hidden under the shirt and gave the other a flattered look. “Wow, Vince. I didn’t realize you thought so highly of me.” He gave him a vicious little smirk and said through a chuckle, “Since you love it so much I’ll be sure to make your life so much more challenging.” He wasn’t a stranger to the fancies of the body, being a healthy young male he’d been around the block and Vincent wasn’t bad looking in the least. However, those were thoughts for another time and place, not now when there was other things to be addressed.
He gave the demon a side-long look but dismissed the statement merely saying, “Consider it a moment of temporary insanity.” Danya had been feeling a little more open that day and his tongue had loosened since VIncent had been one of the only demons he’d met. He’d taken to the older male quickly even though they bickered constantly, it was a strange relationship they had but he liked it. It allowed him moments like these, where he didn’t have to pretend to be the ever bubbly young man everyone at school expected him to be. However, he grunted his agreement when the other demon no longer wished to talk about his predicament and gladly moved on to other topics of conversation namely…Vincent and why he was sticking around.
The white haired demon blinked in mild surprise when Vincent laughed but allowed a small genuinely amused smile to curl his lips. That wasn’t a sound he often heard from the other considering he was usually busy pissing him off but he supposed once in a while like this was good too. Rolling his eyes at the slightly taller male he said just as teasingly, “Now we both know you’re not even close to being a responsible adult let alone a good influence.” He huffed a soft laugh, shaking his head and gave the other an exasperated look as he said challenging, “Please I probably get better grades than you ever could. Don’t talk to me about proper education, Mr. Bodyguard.” He was used to the teasing remarks when it came to him being in school and honestly he didn’t really mind it. While he didn’t like the work, Danya was curious by nature and he liked to learn these things even if a portion of them was wrong.
The hound gave the other a side-long glance that was thoroughly unimpressed with Vincent’s threat to kick his ass, having heard that one before. Giving him a sugary sweet smile and cocking his head to the side innocently he purred, “Promise?” The sweet smile slowly became edged as it became just slightly crooked as he chuckled out, “Nah, though. I’m not sick.” He gave him a sly smile though and said innocently, “Thank you for worrying you big softy. I knew under all that fire you were nothing but a teddy bear.”
God, he loved messing with the other demon.
Secretive bastard…and stingy to boot. He pouted at the other male when he made a simply statement about work and then told him down. Rolling his eyes he said gruffly, “It’s not like I’m going to jump you for souls. They totally don’t taste as good stolen away.” No one should ever ask why he knew that little fact, it was a one time thing and he’d been starving. He’d forever lay that little incident in the back of his mind and pretend it never happened…because as far as he did it hadn’t happened. Danya folded his arms in the back of his head, rolling a shoulder for a moment to relieve some tension.

Another promise , another seed Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed And all the green belts wrapped around our minds endless red tape to keep the truth confined They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious Vincent couldn't tell if he liked the guy more when he was being a total asshat or whenever he was being a fucking tease. Either way, the demon found the little act pretty amusing. "I'm looking forward to it." he said with a half-assed attempt at enthusiam. He was already a pain so he was sure it wouldn't take much work to make his life any more 'challenging'. Of course Vince certainly wouldn't make it much easier for Danya either, not that he ever really tried, let alone have the intention of going easy on him. He had it coming, the teasing in return, nor could he at all argue. Most of the points anyway. He certainly couldn't be considered responsible and it was no secret that he was a terrible influence, but as far as education was concerned he had to object. "I've got all I need to know up here." he spoke, knocking his knuckle against the side of his head. He might not necessarily be book smart, having never attended a school (at least in this life), but he was incredibly street smart and had lived long enough to have learned a couple of things through experience. Overall, he was pretty confident he knew what he needed in order to survive and had the scars to prove it. "Which is a whole lot more than you, asshole." he smirked mischievously. Danya seemed to be in a better mood though, taking the threat in stride. Vincent scoffed at innocent little plea. "Why am I not surprised?" The demon did look like he'd be into that shit. Then again, Vincent might have been himself so he really couldn't say too much. His next words did end up causing the demon to laugh again though. "Yeah, I'm a total teddy bear." he agreed, words dripping in sarcasm. Probably the most terrifying teddy bear a kid would never want. In fact he could probably prove it if he wanted, but of course he didn't. Not only would it be physically and emotionally straining, but the damned dog would probably try and make a chew toy out of him. So he'd simply leave him to believe what he wanted, even if it was tremendously flawed. "Good to know." he simply replied, once again not sounding too convinced that he could trust the hellhound. Vince learned something new today! Kind of. Not really. He never actually ate stolen souls, but he had stolen souls before and found them just the same. He didn't bother asking why or how Danya knew of it, it seemed pretty obvious anyway, so he chose to ignore it. "If you behave though I might give you a treat." Mostly bullshit, but he could still use it as a device to tease him with. Danya Ilarion | sorry this is kinda bleh. a tad distracted by the fam =w= MADE BY VEL OF GS
