PERSONAL
▼
[ABILITIES]
•glamour: the ability to conjure minor illusions. they can easily hide physical traits from people who don't know what to look for, or create small distractions.
• liesmith: the ability to make others believe their lies and tricks. while not a completely unavoidable thing, it becomes really hard for the target to resist the user from thinking in their perspective.
[PERSONALITY]
Flora is a bright young man with a kind, floaty personality. He has a voice that moves up and down and it's tone flutters about like flower petals on a windy day. He appears as though dreamy and light-hearted, with an incredibly mellow demeanor. He's not hostile, he's not competitive. In fact, he claims that competition makes him nauseous, which is why he's not on any sports teams or any competitive club. In the presence of most others, his demeanor goes through a lot of changes as the mood of the conversation shifts. He can be graceful and poised one minute, and excited and bubbly in the next. His voice has been described as full of "sunshine" or "money". He tends to drift around often when socializing, and is a person who seems to jauntily get along with everyone around him. He's absolutely delighted to socialize with anyone.
Flora's sociable and everyone seems to like him. But he's not weak-willed and can act like a primadonna. He tends to exaggerate and complain a lot, especially, especially when bored. He's ridiculously indulgent, and can tend to fall into depressions a lot. When he gets depressed, he needs to have someone to pull him out of it. But he doesn't have many people he genuinely thinks of as friends. He thinks of himself as weak and incompetent one moment, then as great and almighty the next. He has mood swings and he needs friends to help him rant and let out emotional baggage that he carries. He needs supportive friends, because at times he comes dangerously close to collapsing. Flora also gets quite envious whenever he sees someone who surpasses his own abilities, intellect or talent. It only makes him become more insecure.
Flora is a person who doesn't really care for his reputation at some points, but at other points he does. It tends to changes with his mood and his self-confidence, which fluctuates rapidly. Also, he's rather skeptical about love. He's very wary of those who want to get into a relationship with him. Sure, he's incredibly good with wording, but Flora isn't very interested in relationships with people who are incredibly casual about it. He requires someone incredibly devoted to him and willing to support him, and provide him with a lot of attention. He can get very envious over who his lover spends time with. Flora is never cautious about blatantly stating his true feelings.

[APPEARANCE]
Flora has always been most known for his odd hair. It's an inky black at the roots, which spread upwards, before becoming a very soft white. He was born this way, and many say that it fits his somewhat peculiar nature. His hair isn't all that long, the tips barely just reaching below his ears. He has dulled, grey eyes, but can mostly be seen with an uppity smile on his face. His eyes are wide and observant, and gain an intent gleam in them whenever he's become interested in someone. He has an elegantly curved nose. His expressions tend to change a bit, due to his frequent mood swings, but he prefers to not wear unpleasant expressions, such as frowns or scowls. He's good at faking his expressions either way, so whatever is displayed on his face should be taken with a grain of salt.
Flora is 176 cm, or about 5'9". Although he certainly wishes he was taller, he still does have a fair amount of muscle at him. But it's mostly clear that he's a speedier fighter. He doesn't have an immense amount of stamina. His skin is considerably pale, with little blemishes or scarring marring it. His hands and fingers are long and elegant, with fingernails kept short for convenience's sake. He doesn't have any tattoos or piercings on his body.
Flora's fashion sense is crisp and to the point. He prefers black, white and grey to most colors, but might pair the monochrome shades with one color specifically. He mostly wears just regular shirts. At times, he'll feel fancier and wear dress shirts or a waistcoat out. He doesn't dress completely casually, but not absolutely formally either. He just doesn't really like wearing jeans that much, for some reason. He isn't one to wear jewelry or anything that flashy. He prefers dress pants above all else, but when summertime rears its ugly head, he'll wear sweatpants.

[HISTORY]
Flora was a young boy with a feminine name--which is the worst kind of situation for someone in elementary school. His mother hadn't of been the most mentally healthy woman, after his father was killed. So by the time he was born she had wanted a girl, and was dead set on it. When it turned out he was male, she was distraught and named him Flora, before dumping him on his aunt before ending her own life. Flora would turn out to be a lot like his mother and his aunt, as he was his mother's son and was raised by his aunt. His mother had been an incredibly dramatic and slovenly woman, who was rather ill most of the time. His aunt was very kind and loving. Most of Flora's earlier years were filled with mockery from fellow students. During these times, he'd struggle to confine and control his powers. They were a poor family in the middle of a town full of humans.
They lived on Long Island, very, very close to the city. As Flora grew older, his aunt would take him into the city numerous times a week, which he definitely enjoyed. Time's Square became sanctuary and he loved the constant whirlwind of people passing by. Yet, back at home, conditions at school got better as his classmates grew older and more accepting. Yet, Flora inherited his mother's depression and his father's indulgence and picky attitude. His friends distanced themselves from him after he became gloomier, which significantly upset him. His years grew rougher as his mood swings and need to reassurance developed further. He became immensely popular due to his good looks and kind, sensitive attitude.
Yet, it was when he entered the academy. Seeing powered individuals much like himself was a little bit of a shock at first, but he soon felt a bit more at home than he had with his aunt. Plus, it was closer to the city so he could go there when he had off time...
