Blue Rose is looking for the moon in someone's eyes
Blue Rose is willing to believe someone's lies
Now Blue Rose's petals have been crushed along the way
Oh, Blue Rose is just going bluer everyday
Blue Rose is willing to believe someone's lies
Now Blue Rose's petals have been crushed along the way
Oh, Blue Rose is just going bluer everyday
Rose

Flora wasn't someone who complained in the afternoon, but during nighttime... stress usually got to him. The stars that would normally be visible in the nighttime sky were just blotted out completely by the light pollution. Or at least, he figured that was the correct term. Dooon't caaaareeee... He wasn't caring about a lot of issues lately. Maybe one of his infamous depressions was coming on. Stick on a smile. He reminded himself fruitlessly. Waaah, I don't even want to. He protested weakly. After a couple of moments where his thoughts remained purely blank, he began to hum a soft, pretty tune. He was sitting underneath a tree in the courtyard. It was peculiar for him to be sighted here at this time of night, but he really didn't feel like remaining in his room for much longer. Being cooped up got to him sometimes. So, he went on trips into the city on nights such as the one he was going through currently.
At least he had some people he liked here. Unlike his old places, he could actually see himself making friends here. He enjoyed socializing with just about everyone. He truly loved the idea of all individuals or all species getting along with each other... But was such a feat even truly reachable? People are so mean! Everyone hates each other! He exaggerated and emphasized it, only making himself feel utterly worse. He flopped back down on the grass near the tree and looked up at the slightly cloudy sky. There would be no rain tonight, luckily. He was certainly glad for that. Rain usually ruined his plans, whatever they were. But rain did at times provide a relaxing atmosphere where he could read and listen to the rain pattering against the windowsill... But I like reading outside on the bench more! That way, the sun rays would provide as his source of light. It felt relaxing and natural that way.
Flora's thoughts continued to roam around and about aimlessly as he looked up at the darkened sky. Not a creature around him really was stirring, not that he was paying much attention. Even though he was a kitsune, his abilities tended to become duller as his moods changed for the worse. If anyone would even try to sneak up on him, it wouldn't be that hard at all. The young kitsune had been plagued by sleeplessness as of late, for reasons he couldn't pinpoint. But he wasn't feeling or showing any signs of being tired. Weird. He wanted to grumble to himself. Maybe it would have been better if he was human. Maybe his life would be much simpler. But even if he had been, there would be unanswered questions... perhaps less of the, but they would definitely still exist, right? He didn't even know why he was named Flora. Which sucked, because during his much younger years the teasing and bullying had been thoroughly merciless.
...I want a cookie. Flora moped at the lack of sweets around him. Why couldn't he have gone pilfering in the kitchen instead? Surely they wouldn't miss only one cookie, right? He didn't feel like using his own money to go out and buy something. Turning on his side, he began to roll around aggressively, as though taking out his aggression on the grass underneath him. This caused him to get grass stains on his clothing. He sat up and observed the stains, before flopping back in defeat. His life was a bit terrible this evening...
