Soren can be described as a pretty calm individual that doesn't really let others in all that well. In terms of three parts. There is a darker part of Soren that has been plaguing him as of late, keeping him at odds with some people. Soren can be quiet when he wants to, preferring to observe rather than jump right in. When meeting new people, he can be pretty social like his sister, but mostly tends to keep a distance when he can. Despite his harsh and tragic upbringing, he's a pretty standout guy. He can be an asshole if it comes down to it, when the need arises, but mostly he just keeps calm. Soren has a gentle heart with a hard outside. Due to him and his sister being abandoned as children, he has always hidden himself away to protect his little sister. While Soren can be mean, he's actually got a soft heart within his stone one. He's had to steel himself against people so that he can better protect himself and his little sister.
He can be a gentlemen and quite the gentle type of person when you catch him at the right time, but only in front of certain people. He tends to keep everything on his shoulders, preferring to keep others from being burdened with struggle and his own problems. When it comes right down to it, he'll keep what is bothering him to himself and focus on someone else instead. He is kind to children and others, but act like a bitch/bastard to him and he'll return the attitude gladly. Soren is not afraid of taking another down in a fight. He is also not afraid or adverse to using tricks to take down another, but must be in self-defense. Soren is capable of love, though right now he has none he can hold on to. His main concern is how his sister is doing and getting her thought school. He keeps alot of what he is feeling inside and doesn't show much on the outside except for what he wants to show. Mostly he keeps up a facade for everyone to see, keeping people at bay and not too close.
Some of Soren's quirks include baking and cooking (more times when he's stressed), and playing his violin or piano. He's honed his music skills to pay for his sister and his dinner's and homes over the years they were on the move. They had lived all around Europe, picking up things here and there to keep him and his sister alive. His quirks include eating strange shaped fruits, taking naps under his desk, and playing with fire and candles.

Soren was born long ago, 900 years, to a pair of Kitsune who seemed to have more than their child on their minds. They were obsessed with hiding and trying to outrun the humans who hunted them, but in their haste, they often forgot about their child. He was born in Ireland in a small village that no longer is there after 900 years. He lived mostly on his own when he could take care of himself at the age of 100, avoiding his parents like the plague as much as he could. They didn't seem to care for their son much, so why should he care for them? Soren wandered all over Europe, sometimes going to Japan when the mood struck him, and picked up on all sorts of customs. He trained in hand to hand combat and sword play while in Japan, keeping his skills sharp throughout his life from then on. It wasn't until he was 500 that he actually took notice of his family. They had all moved to England together as a sort of 'solidarity' effort, though Soren could care less what the hell they did as long as it moved him to somewhere interesting.
It was then that his life changed for the better instead of constantly being on the edge of disaster and risk like he usually was. His baby sister was born. She was the light of his life and the one constant thing within his life after that. She had scarlet hair like he did, though it darkened over time to match their mother's hair and fur color, a dark red. However, their parents did the same thing that they did when they had Soren, they raised her with their care till about 100, but then kinda left their daughter to her own devices. Worried, Soren took over where his parents were negligent. He cared for his little sister throughout the years, taking her with him wherever they went. It was then that he vowed to never stay with people who didn't want him or his sister; so he lived and raised his sister on his own. They lived in England for quiet a while, staying till after the Victorian Era since he could charm the nobles to do favors for him with his talent for lies. Humans were so easy to manipulate and trick. He made his life at that point by getting a better education for himself. He ended up taking and interest in literature since he was a book nerd at heart. He loved to read and write, so becoming a teacher for something he loved was easy.
Later on, he moved to New York to a school that he thought would be good for his sister to learn in and gain some friends. He had hoped to give her a better life in this far reaching future. He's lived with nothing, and now he has everything he's ever wanted: a family. He works as both a teacher and a bartender, liking the contrast both jobs give him. He's working hard to keep up tuition for his sister as well as provide food and clothes for her and himself. He's an old soul who works much too hard, but he does it with a soft heart for the only light in his life.

Both Physical and mental triggers work against this disease of his. Sometimes he'll wake up not realizing he's had an episode. Sometimes he'll wake up in a place he's not sure why he was there because the memories within his head would be wiped clean. The disease erases about a day of his life each time it effects him. He doesn't know why this has been happening, but he's learned to live with it and try to not trigger it.
