▼
i am an [EIGHTEEN] year old [MALE] [SUBORDINATE WEREWOLF]. i am currently a [FOURTH YEAR]. i am [HETEROSEXUAL]. a lot of people tend to call me [ANDY, DREW, OR WILL].
PERSONAL
▼
[ABILITIES]
• quick regeneration: can heal minor damage almost as soon as it's inflicted.
• calming presence: the ability to ease those around them to calm nerves just by one's presence.
[PERSONALITY]
In short, Andrew is a very social young man with knack for things that rely more so on creativity. He's sort of a visionary, taking joy out of looking at things in a different angle. It's no surprise to find him thinking outside of the box so to speak. But while he likes to think creatively, he's certainly not close minded. In fact, he appreciates when others offer some input. After all, he can't really do anything that is considerably amazing without at least a little creative criticism thrown in. But his open mindedness isn't restricted to opinions on artwork or things of that nature. No, tied in with his social nature, it helps make for interesting conversation.
The only thing is that he's sort of... Well Andrew is pretty lazy as far as effort goes. He doesn't do more than he needs to. If it's something that needs to be done, it'll be done quick. If not? Well he just doesn't do it. But don't dare mistake his lax persona as stupidity. No, he's more than capable. Quite the astute fellow too. Perhaps a bit too astute at times. Quite a gift really, but not one he offers without a price of some sorts. Whether payment is taken then or later is often times up in the air. After all, nothing in this world is free when it comes down to the wire. But it won't be anything too costly, probably just doing an assignment for him here and there or something completely arbitrary. The only other thing to really note is that he's pretty superstitious. In fact, he even wears a necklace that he calls his, "good luck charm." It's kind of frightening just how superstitious he can be at times.
When he's not busy trying to slip in a few extra hours of sleep or avoid anything requiring physical effort, he's surprisingly competitive. Nothing gets his blood pumping like a good challenge. Old habits die hard, one could suppose. Going hand in hand with his competitive nature is his dauntless outlook. Nothing scares him, and often times that's not really a good thing. Being fearless leads to recklessness. But alas, he's able to listen to the voice of reason when it's actually offered. So as long as he pretty much has a babysitter, he won't do anything too stupid. If you can get past his tactless words and passive disposition, which probably won't be too hard, he's really not a bad guy.

The looks

[APPEARANCE]
Andrew's overall appearance is... Well it's tidy when it needs to be, at least. He keeps his hair brushed out and puts a decent amount of care into it. He's a natural blonde with thick, wavy hair. He hates it, especially when it gets hot in the summer. But for the most part, he'll keep it tied back with a hair tie if it gets in the way too much. As far as facial features go, he has some sharp features. While his eyes are usually half-lidded, he has a strong stare with blue eyes. Then his small slightly turned up nose, thin lips, and bright teeth when he decides to flash them. Like most werewolves, his canines are a bit more prominent than normal. But it's not like it's too notable, as he doesn't really offer anything other than a seemingly neutral expression.
He stands roughly at 6 feet and weighs about 192 pounds. It's safe to say he's all around pretty muscular despite putting in the minimal effort when it comes to physical exertion. All in all though, his skin is pretty flawless, and he even makes sure to keep a close shave all around. Clothing wise, he wears simple stuff really. Like when he's not at school, he'll probably just spend the whole day in a t-shirt and lounge pants if he doesn't have to leave the dorms. If he does, the lounge pants are replaced with jeans and he throws a sweatshirt over his t-shirt. As far as school goes, he sports something a bit more appropriate. A white buttoned down shirt, a tie, blazer, dress pants, and dress shoes. Admittedly so when putting in the effort, he cleans up quite well. His favorite accessory is a supposed good luck charm that his mother gave him before he came to the school, and it's a necklace. Nothing too notable, just a pendant with a peridot gemstone.
As for his wolf form, it's a normal size, nothing too big. His fur is blonde like his hair, and his eyes still remain blue.

THE PAST

[HISTORY]
Andrew wasn't necessarily expected but he was given a warm welcome. His mother had travelled to Wales just for some sight seeing before starting college. After a few drinks and falling into the arms of a beautiful stranger, one thing lead to another and boom, life was formed. He was born in New York to a single mother. She never bothered trying to contact the father. After all, they were just two strangers now. But fortunately he favored his mother in appearance. But to at least pay a little homage to his biological father, he was given the middle name Gwilym, which is just the Welsh form of the name William. An excellent sense of originality, truly mother. It wasn't too bad though. With the support of her parents, she was able to raise the child even without a father figure.
And boy, was he a happy child. When his mother was busy, he spent time with his grandparents. Everyone knows how grandparents can be though. Spoiling the daylights out of their grandbabies. And since he was the first, he was like a test of sorts. When he went back to his mother though, it was obvious he was happy. Their relationship was surprisingly strong even though she was a busy woman. But she had something to work for, or someone rather. So she did her best to work and give them a life they both deserved. But he didn't mind being with his grandparents one bit. Grandpa always told funny stories and grandma always had to correct him, telling what really happened.
School wasn't much of a problem. He was a smart kid and placed with the more "gifted" students, as they called it. But with that intelligence came the heavy burden of working hard. And that wasn't something he cared much for. Sure, he did his work, but it was met with plenty of procrastination. What the teachers didn't know wouldn't hurt them though, right? They just assumed he worked as hard as the other students did. He was naturally intelligent and quick to understand systems. He made friends in elementary school, but come middle school, they began to be split up based on their intelligence. Which... Probably was a shitty system since it allowed the students who caught on faster to shine while condemning those who didn't do so well.
But he moved on and made more friends in his time. Around the summer leading to ninth grade, a few of his friends held a party and invited him to join in on the fun. But the area it was held was around the forest, which for some reason always made him a little uneasy. There was just something about it, the sounds that came come nightfall. It was eerie. But he brushed aside those childish fears and went along for the ride. Amazing how time flied though. While he tried to get home as soon as he could, he was side tracked. The last thing he saw as he made his way through the trees was a blur of some sorts. As if a dog had just run by. And then he was met with the cold, hard ground.
Andrew woke up in the hospital the next day. He didn't remember a thing, but apparently someone nearby had overheard some sort of quarrel (Andrew must have instinctively tried to fight back?) and came out to find some sort of wolf or dog or something sinking its teeth into the poor boy. In retaliation, the animal had been shot. Drew couldn't help but feel bad, as harming animals had never really been something he was keen on but... He continued listening to his friend go on. Apparently the animal had bitten him on the hand, which was wrapped up at the time. But he could definitely feel the pulsing pain, almost as if it was burning. Even the doctors made sure to give him all sorts of shots to help. Like rabies vaccination, tetanus, all that fun stuff. But it wasn't serious right? Just an animal bite.
He kept experiencing fevers, irritation, and all sorts of other changes. His doctors tried to play it off as hormones and stuff but that didn't seem right. The worst about his change was his sudden craving for meat. All his life, he had been a vegetarian but the smell of meat was beckoning him. It was disgusting at first but once he started eating it, he found that he couldn't stop until he was full. He actually sort of enjoyed it. But he kept brushing it off. It really wasn't until some stranger approached him and pulled him off to the side. All he knew is the guy smelled like wet dog and it was kind of gross. But fortunate for Drew that the other knew well what he was going through. And somehow the guy's presence in its own was comforting. But he gave the run down and pretty much told the boy what was wrong. That he had been bitten by another werewolf. Or well at least one who was a carrier. Whatever that meant. He was also warned not to tell anyone else. But before he could get a word in edge wise, the man shoved something into his hand. An... Application of sorts?
Drew shrugged it off at first, but curiosity got the better of him. He filled it out and sent it in. And it didn't take long to get a message back, giving him acceptance into some academy that wasn't too far off. But still, his mother wasn't all too happy to see him go. So as a parting gift, she gave him a necklace of sorts with his favorite gemstone. And then he was sent to the academy to at least get a better feel of what exactly was going on. Fortunately the school has been great for him, and with his fourth year coming up, he's never felt more comfortable.
