So far, Emery was pleased with her experience at Hisso Academy.
While she wasn't a huge fan of the general structure and rules that were innate in organized institutions, the perks of being enrolled here outweighed the nuisances. For instance, Emery greatly enjoyed most of the curriculum that was laid out for them. After all, she was still quite young for a kitsune and still had lots of wisdom to accrue. Even though her time here was going to be but a sneeze relative to her lifespan, she intended to at least make the most of it. In keeping consistent with this goal, she was on her way to the library, fully equipped with a bag full of books to stay on top of - and perhaps get ahead of - her studies. However, on the way she decided to indulge in the other major perk of being in the school: having a whole pool of people at her disposal on the daily for her entertainment.
As she strolled along the wall through the hallways at a leisurely pace, Emery's eyes drifted over the students and her surroundings, searching for an optimal target and opportunity. Much to her delight, it wasn't long before she noticed a couple of girls standing in front of a bulletin board on the wall, gazing at and discussing one of the flyers pinned to it. Her steps slowed further as she redirected her course towards them until she was standing about a foot away at their side. For a moment she stood there, her eyes scanning the papers posted on the board as she listened to the girls' conversation.
It seemed they were discussing one notice in particular: something by the student council. Emery briefly bit the inside of her lip to stifle a smile as she moved closer to the poster in question. She leaned in, as if reading a fine print at the bottom, before straightening her torso and turning to the other two females. "Pardon me, but I am afraid I am unsure if there is a misprint on this." The purple-haired female took a step slightly to the side and pointed a finger at the bottom of the paper. "It says that the members of the student council will remove their clothing at this event, provided enough students attend." While she hadn't read the poster and had no idea what it was about, she was fairly confident that she could pull this off without that knowledge. Emery looked carefully from one girl to the next, her eyes meeting both of theirs for a moment.
The two females looked at each other, puzzled, before they huddled in front of the board and studied at the poster in question. Emery mustered up some glamour to add a tiny, nearly unreadable front to the bottom margin of the sheet. "I can't read it," one of the girls mumbled. "I think it's just a line..."
"Oh dear, truly? But, I am quite sure of what I read..." Emery's tone was uneasy but she spoke with conviction, her eyes locking with theirs again as they both looked up at her. "Perhaps you need to squint a little." Emery utilised another one of her abilities, causing the girls to hesitate briefly before moving in closer, successfully persuaded by her lies. "You may need to move very close as well."
They did so, their heads bumping into each other. "Oh my god!" They recoiled, their hands jumping to the site of the impact.
Emery held back a snicker.
