You’ve done it. You’ve really done it. One of you had touched a certain something, as if a portal to another world purely crafted from something else. Each of you were sucked in without consent, some here born from concern for a slumbering man and others just for other reasons concerning you. You will all awaken upon the ground, as if you too had been sleeping and then jolted awake. There is thunder crashing into your ears, and lightning that coats the entire space with light that lasts shorter than a blink of the eyes.
Surrounding you is a forest, thick, with foliage covering most from below to above you. The colors seem to give off a deep greenish blue hue, having an ethereal quality to it already. Pockets of light dance about, as if to mimic fireflies, but burst into flames should you stare for too long, shy in their own way. The grass is thick, and no animals stir, yet a path is clear before you to take as if tread so many times by busy fit that it just created itself that way.
Strangely, despite the sky not being too visible because of the towering trees, you feel a mixture of serene danger. The sights before you all are pretty, but in the thickets, branches, and bushes lie the unknown. The unknown was a frightening thing, scary to all races, and yet curiosity is the driving force to most everything of life.
Your journey begins now.
[One of you must decide to touch the pendant to bring everyone here. A minor detail, but may become important later. The only choice for this round is to follow the path as it is where everything begins. When you post, that becomes the posting order and I will respond after your round of posts have been completed. I will specify at the end of my post if you can post a second round and so on. Have fun and try imagining your surroundings!]

"I'm not a ladies' man,
I'm a land mine." It had honestly just been fate, perhaps that led the kitsune to the room of a sleeping demon. Normally one would avoid things such as demons, but not for a certain blonde man who tended to mimic an adult when he really had the form of a child. Zachary hadn't seen larse in a few days, and word had seemed that the man was probably sick, which Zach was actually a bit concerned about. Larse was hardly ever sick.. and when he was it was for a reason unknown to most of them as he was... kinda a dog. Which if one didn't know about dogs, how could you even properly care for one? So Zach made his way to the other's room, finding that it was rather easy to get inside and that he would probably be yelled at by Larse later. In the end, the kitsune really wasn't one for rules and pushed himself inside anyway, to find that the man he had been worried about laying on the bed in an almost comatose state. He wasn't good at these things he would admit, but that didn't exactly look normal as the headmaster raced to the side of the hellhound he teased more often than not. "Shit shit shit." he mumbled under his breath before pulling out his cell and dialing a number he had all but memorized. It was Royce that he had called, hoping that the other would be able to tell what was wrong with the man before him. Royce knew Larse better than anyone, and hopefully he would be able to tell what was wrong. So when the man got here maybe they could figure it out. Yet not only did Royce show up, but also so did two others, one a nurse that he knew... and the other... the school cook as he recalled correctly. Zach wasn't exactly sure if Larse knew the other two but he knew that if anyone could help Royce could. Yet, it had only been an accident... the kitsune getting a little too close for comfort before something caught his eye. The dark cloudiness of the pendant and the kitsune (curious as he was) touched the stupid necklace which sucked them all into whatever it was they were sucked into. Waking up with a start was not something the headmaster was expecting but slowly he got back up finding himself in his younger form, rather than his adult form, something he would have to explain later.. especially seeing as the cook.. was well... human and not a supernatural. Maybe he could play it off as wherever they were had make him younger or something. "Ah ha ha... my bad.. shouldn't have touched it." he said with a small laugh hoping to play off some of the awkwardness around them. The scene was rather beautiful, but the sense of danger loomed. "we should be careful.." he said softly. "So.. who wants to go on an adventure!" he called trying to keep the air light despite the fact they had no idea where in the world.. or perhaps another that they were. @pomme1 - # # # - tagged royce cause zach called him! and.. he touched it.. ooops MADE BY VEL OF GS

we're just savages hidden behind shirts ties and marriages Well, this certainly wasn't how Royce had intended for the day to shape up. It had started normally enough, or at least as normal as the week had been -- which involved a fair amount of frowning in a seemingly mildly concerned manner at the attendance records. Though anyone who knew him to any truly considerable extent would know -- it took a lot to make Royce London show any amount if concern in the visual sense, so the fact that he was meant that he was far, far more concerned than just mildly. In fact, he was very concerned at the number of days a certain Larse Meerholz had been absent from his classes, and with no real explanation to boot. Plenty of rumors from his classmates and peers, but nothing of any real substance that pointed to any sound or even remotely logical conclusion.
The fallen angel had indeed had every intention of getting to the bottom of this by the end if the day -- though apparently sooner rather than later became the case, as a phone call from the headmaster himself had addressed the exact same issue -- and set into motion the series of events that had led to the current situation. Royce came to with a low groan, one hand over his temple as he massaged at it. It felt like he had been run over by a truck -- metaphorically, at least, seeing as how that wouldn't exactly be a problem for him in the first place. The last thing he remembered was reaching for Zachary while shouting a warning at him to not touch the pendant hanging from Larse's neck.
"Basic standard protocol when handling corrupt artifacts, Zachary," Royce remarked as he pushed himself off the ground. Smoothing out his suit, he continued, "I commend the degree of your concern, but it would have been wise to ascertain the nature of the curse first, lest it bring harm to the victim if activated further -- or worse, death." It was never a good idea to touch things tainted with malevolence without determining its origins first, if their current circumstances were any indicator. The last thing Royce wanted was for more ill fate to befall his closest friend and confidant. He peered upward at the storm brewing overhead through the forest's canopy.
Frost blue eyes narrowed as lightning flashed faster than even he could properly perceive, thunder rumbling deep and low in his ears. What he thought were fireflies at first all but ignited themselves into flame before his eyes, and Royce turned his gaze into the thick of the woods ahead, eyeing the single trodden path that winded into its depths. "It would appear that we don't have much of a choice in this matter to begin with," the blonde replied calmly as he took a few steps forward down the road, but his expression seemed guarded, cautious and stern. He could feel it all around him, that strange sense of that there was perhaps more than the eye could perceive, that somewhere in the eerie serenity of this forest, something lurked.
'It also goes without saying that we may have a lot of elaboration to do on our hands,' Royce then telepathically relayed to the headmaster. Ah, yes, explaining Zachary's current state was just the cherry on top that this entire situation needed. To be fair, it had been a very long time since Royce had felt such a sense of urgency, and it was putting him on edge far more than he was accustomed to. 'That aside, it is safe to assume our only option is to forge forward toward whatever it is that awaits us here, wherever we are.' ★ you're from a whole 'nother world A DIFFERENT DIMENSION Well, Abel could honestly say that this isn't really how he was expecting this afternoon to go. Waking up in a place like this, an weird ass forest and it was exceptionally weird, for the man considering the last he remembered was being on the school campus. If he remembered correctly, he went down to the nurse's office after getting a nice bit of the meals for the rest of the day before his leg started to throb in pain. Of course, he didn't bring anymore painkillers with him to work, so he instead had to turn to Margot in letting him have some to get through the rest of the work day. Everything after that remained in a haze, he couldn't really remember most of it, however there was an call that Margot had received about an student, or something. The cook simply went over there to check in, and see when it was possible to get his medication. What surprised him though was the fact that he saw a man laying down in a bed for what seemed like an while? Meh, Abel wasn't really one to judge, especially during his first few weeks after the accident as there were days where didn't really feel like getting out of bed. Though when he does it he doesn't send other people into some weird world. The cook's eyes jutted open as the sound of thunder crashed through the area, and he quickly jumped up at the sudden change of scenery, "What the hell!?" It was the first question that Abel asked when he noticed his surroundings. Can't blame the guy to be honest. It looked like something out of an painting, with the ways that that the colors blended which kinda confused the man a tad bit. "Where the hell is this?!" It was a a rather accurate question for an normal human with no idea on the supernatural world. It seemed that not only was the man brought here, it seemed that three others were sent to this weird world as well. From the looks of it, there was Royce London, the vice principle of Hissio he didn't really talk to the man but he has seen him in the cafeteria a couple times. An rather serious fella from his demeanor, so Abel would have to keep a bit of an note to that. The second was Margot, one of the school nurses and the one that he came to for some new medication. The last one however puzzled the man, as it was an person that appeared to be an student judging by his size however upon closer inspection his face resembled that of the headmaster, Zachery's. That was further shown by how Royce talked to the teen which confused the man. "Wait, don't tell me your the Zachery? You look a bit different from the last time I saw you..." He pointed out witha rather quizzical look. This was just getting weirder and weirder for the man. The way that the two blonds talked really added on to his confusion, "Why the hell are these two not... you know? Confused? They are just going along with it. You know, whatever this is." The thought ran through the human's head before letting out a small sigh. For all he might know this might be an rather terrible allergic reaction to his medication and this was all in his head. "Doc, please tell me this is all in my head or something. A bad batch of pills?" Abel asked out to the nurse as he remained skeptical ont he situation. If the other 'people' were going to move forward however he had no better idea then to follow. If he got left out here alone, there is no telling on what crazy things would happen. Besides this place is a bit to odd for his tastes. "Well if you people are willing to go on, I will follow. Only because this place is creeping me the hell out." It was an statement followed by the man crossing his arms in fron of his chest, a sure sign of discomfort. The human's body was feeling a tad bit stiff, and had this odd sense of something didn't feel right with both him and the area. MADE BY VEL OF GS [googlefont="Oswald:400"][googlefont="Quattrocento"]

The choice had been made to work the way down the path. Strangely enough, in these woods there were no noises of animals. The entire woods felt empty of fauna and animal life, and yet it still felt so alive. Every sway from a stray breeze to a plants leaves or the little ‘stares’ the balls of light made towards the group said it all. As if trailing and wandering near you, some move around, letting loose a trail of fire like a comet, but they’re harmless. Actually, it’s quite beautiful, holding different colors that seldom catch anything on fire.
The path winds further in, the woods seeming to become deeper, before it opens up just a bit and thins out. To one side there is a path to a house nestled in the woods. It looks fairly normal, with the construct looking sturdily built. An axe is resting against a tree stump, and a basket with clothes lays there by a makeshift clothesline. A garden has been made to the side, with flowers blooming eagerly despite the stormy surroundings up above.
The lights are not on however.
To another path that had branched off, you hear laughter. It mocked and cackled, steadily growing louder like it was escalating into an amused fervor. Which path shall you take? The home? Or investigate the source of the laughter?

"I'm not a ladies' man,
I'm a land mine." The headmaster had vaguely remembered the fallen angel reaching out to him before he had touched the pendant but it had been a bit too late, as now the teenager like man stood up in the alternate form that he was in. "Oh well... right." he said when Royce reprimanded him for touching something that they didn't know about. "At least it doesn't look like that happened, so... that's a good thing?" he said as his orbs looked at the human who seemed to be freaking out as to where they were and why both of them seemed completely calm about the alternate universe of the world. Despite the vice principle talking to him, Zach moved to the other man, which mismatching iris' who was having a harder time. "Hey, it's okay.. nothing it gonna happen now okay? At least we are in this together yeah?" he said with a soft smile. If anything, he wanted to make this as painless as possible for the human cook, so that when they got back he could erase his memory so he wouldn't have to worry about it any longer. When he mentioned that he looked different before a small chuckle came from the kitsune and a small sweat drop in the back of his head formed as he rubbed the back of his head. "I think.. it's because of wherever we are.. I dont' normally look this young. I'm about as surprised as you are right now." he said feigning his knowledge of his body's appearance of a student rather than a adult. "But don't worry too much, like I said, we are in it together and we will definitely help you through this." he said. Zach glanced back to Royce however when the man's words suddenly appeared in his mind, something that was good about this at least. Royce's ability for telepathy would definitely come in handy when trying to keep as quiet about their world as possible. ' For now, I'm going to try and cover as much as we possibly can. The less we reveal the less I have to wipe from his memory when we are home. ' he answered honestly. The headmaster sighed some though as they headed down the only path that was available to them. He did however frown at the two different options they had, glancing back at the human once more. If there was danger they really couldn't use their abilities freely with someone who didn't know here. A small grown came from the kitsune at the thought of it, since they couldn't do much at all if they ran into danger. 'Maybe we should look into the home, if that cackling has anything to do with danger.. we could have a problem on our hands. If the home is clear.. maybe we can leave the human with Margot, to see to him while me and you figure this mess out.'It was probably the only choice they had at this point. With a human here that didn't know about them, their hands were pretty much tied. @pomme1 Abel Ortega @rhyme - # # # - "haha sorry royce" MADE BY VEL OF GS

Well this certainly wasn't expected. Margot knew Larse as one of those prissy perfect types that were just naturally perfect at everything, and it was a good opinion. So when he was absent for more than one day, he wondered why it wasn't called in sooner. None-the-less, like the good nurse he was he went to go and check on Larse along with the headmaster and the almost-headmaster-but-not-quite, and the cook.He just dragged along Abel basically, an alright person all in all. While checking Larse's temperature though, someone had to go touch the necklace. Thus he was transported still in his white doctor's coat into a forest.
The environment looked absolutely lovely. The light glimmered onto his golden eyes as he looked up for a while, letting the others do their thing. Probably some effect of magical bullshit from that necklace, most likely. He stayed silent for a while so he could take it call in, removing reading glasses(which was just for show, actually), as he took in the view. He sighed, this was most definitely not a dream, as he had considered. "Well this isn't some drug trip, Abel. But it's okay because as our lovely headmaster said, we're in this together. Whether we like it or not," he replied back. In his head he thought, wouldn't it be great if it was. He glanced over from the house to where he heard the sound of laughter. Both seemed like good option to explore, it would be good to split up.
"Abel should come with me because you two are...you know, the headmaster duo kinda," he mumbled, walking next to Abel. Surely the headmaster was something of suspicion, wiping the human's memory when they got back could probably be arranged easily. It wouldn't be easy for a human to adjust to the supernatural world when something like this happens. He was leaning towards exploring the laughter. Maybe it would lead to where Larse is. Maybe it WAS Larse laughing. That would be extremely creepy.

we're just savages hidden behind shirts ties and marriages This was going to be quite the thing to explain, no matter how he looked at it. It was bound to of have happened someday -- really, what was anyone here even expecting otherwise -- but this was probably the last way that he had counted on it happening. "Your guess is as good as mine," Royce said to the cook, because honestly, it probably was. Sure, he probably had a slightly better idea as to where they were, considering he had more experience with the whole world of magical artifacts and all that in general, but really, they could be anywhere -- they were wherever it was that the pendant had sent them to.
"The point is that it could have happened, but now that the situation cannot be remedied, we have no choice but to see this through to the end." What a mess. This entire thing was a mess, but he supposed now that he was here, it was also his mess to clean up. Along with everyone else, or at least in theory. The human was reacting as he would expect a human to react to such circumstances though. At least that much was still grounded in apparent reality. 'You should probably give him a choice once we're out of here, and unless his choice endangers us as a whole, I would suggest giving him freedom to choose what happens to his memory,' the fallen angel relayed to the kitsune as he continued down the pathway, keeping himself on high alert.
There was laughter in the air suddenly, and a sinister one at that. 'I have a feeling that not all is as it seems here,' Royce said to Zachary with his mind. 'And I will have you know that if it comes down to it, I will draw my weapon, revelation of my origins be damned.' There was something at stake here, he was sure. Perhaps it was their lives. Perhaps it was someone else's life. Perhaps it was something that he was entirely unaware of, but the point was, he would not doubt that something was on the line here. Whatever it was, he knew it had to be taken care of. "While I usually would be behind the idea of splitting up to investigate, I do have to wonder if that is the best course of action here."
The laughter was still concerning him, and if it was coming from the fork in the path -- it was impossible to keep an eye on both sides, and if there was one thing that Royce despised, it was not knowing what was going on. "I am of the opinion that we should perhaps stick together as long as we can -- there is no way I can think of to send out an S.O.S. signal should something end up being too much for two people alone to handle." The fallen angel peered down the path toward the laughter again. Royce wondered if it would stay put.
"We can only assume that whatever is laughing out there, it's hostile. We might want to quickly but carefully see what is up with the house first with bigger numbers just in case, with those more able in defense manning the front and back. And if it comes after us..." This was a plan working off of what-ifs -- he hated that. "Well, there's four of us -- better than two in theory." Alright, maybe more like three and a half -- unless the human had a few tricks up his sleeve that he wasn't aware of. That would be a pleasant surprise, really. ★ you're from a whole 'nother world A DIFFERENT DIMENSION Abel's posture still maintained an sense of uneasiness and skepticism of this whole situation. He didn't ask to be an part of this, whatever this was. His eyes narrowed as he kept on trying to focus on the odd surroundings, and then with his other faculty to make sure that he didn't get left behind. His leg wasn't that bad now, however it did feel a bit stiff since he had woken back up perhaps as an sign of bad things to come? That was an thing right? He snapped out of his train of thought, when the other members of the faculty started to try to reassure the cook of their situation, and he sighed slightly at the way this was going, "Well at least I don't have to worry if I overdosed, not gonna lie that thought was there." He responded well at least that was one thing cleared up, well sorta. Abel wasn't dead or drugged at least to his knowledge so he had that going for him which is nice. When the headmaster came up and tried to ease the human, it was a small pep talk of sorts, and it seemed to unnerve the man as his posture seemed to relax slightly however his arms still remained crossed, "Yeah, but next time you go on an field trip like this again, do me a favor and ask one of the other cooks for the snacks." A brush of humor to help ease his mind from the conundrum at hand. When he tried to explain his sudden appearance it only really prompted the cook to raise an brow, "Whatever you say there boss." He wasn't really one to poke at this subject considering nothing so far didn't make a lick of sense. To further that point down the path the group took, branched off into two different ways. Option one was a rather odd cabin in the woods showing no sign of people inside but judging from the outside it looked like it was being maintained and someone was there recently. The second option was another pathway but add in rather creepy and unnerving laughter. Both options sound rather pleasant, and if it were up to Abel he would rather figure out what was the third option was, but sadly he lacked that luxury. When the others were mentioning that the group should split up, the human's eyes immediately jutted open as he would like to give his opinion. "Well as much as I would would love to have the gang to split up and search for clues, but I would have to agree with Fred- I mean Royce on this one. Safety in numbers and such." The cook gave his two cents on the matter before glaring at the weird home. "Oh and don't worry about me, even with my leg I can still hold my own if anything or anyone shows up looking for trouble." The human thought he might as well clear up that point right now just in case it became an worry or concern for any of the other faculty members, as he thankfully had a pocket knife in his pocket for emergencies. Granted he thought they would involve muggers or the occasional creepy one-night stand trying to get all hands-y or upset at him, but hey it still mgiht work if some creepy movie monster reject pokes it's head. You have chosen the house by majority. The house in question seems to look quite inviting to the group the more they look upon it. It has a lonely quality, as if life had once held meaning to it, but now it lays there and remains a husk of what it once was. Small little whispers became to form on the ears of everyone, indiscernible and unintelligible. It was impossible to discern what they were saying, but it was easy to figure out that one was of a young child and a woman and a man mingling with it.
The child was laughing innocently, much more comforting to the ears than the laughter that you were now going to ignore. As soon as you were to make your way to the home, it was as if you entered into a different space the closer you get to it. Various pockets of memories began to unfold, each have a quality of static like it was hard to process them thoroughly. A young boy ran around the place, carrying the basket, looking almost transparent. The young boy sported black hair and a simple pair of brown trousers and a cream colored shirt. His feet trudged into the ground, bare, but comfortable as it looked to be spring.
Others were watching an older man tend to wood with his axe and the next was a woman tending to a garden and the boy helping as best as a five year old could manage. And yet it all stopped, and the door lay still and ready to be opened.
For the most part, things were quiet, so it may be a good idea to search inside if you wish.
The House seems eager to receive visitors. Do as you like here, search for clues if you like, and I will respond accordingly with detail.

"I'm not a ladies' man,
I'm a land mine." Zachary couldn't help but let out a slight laugh from Abel's response to his sort of pep talk. He couldn't help but feel optimistic about this entire thing, since he was the only one that actually seemed to be. Someone had to keep the light airy conversation as Royce and every one had enough pessimism to drown the entire group in. Zach had to be the one to maintain the light tone if they had any hope of coming out of this in.. sorta one piece. But at Abel's response to him being small a small hesitant laugh came as he rubbed the back of his head, the small bit of his hair still sticking up like it always did no matter what he tried. "Yeah, Yeah..." he said before returning to the situation at hand. Zach's attention was however, recalled to Royce when the angel once again spoke directly into his mind about this entire matter. A small sigh escaped him before responding once more to the fallen angel telepathically. 'I guess you're right, but depending on what all goes down here.. it might not be safe for our world or his mind. But I agree with you, if the need comes, we should use our abilities. I just.. I hate taking away someone's memory when this was my fault to begin with.' he admitted to the taller man. It was hard to admit that this was mostly his fault, but at the same time.. he knew there was no one to blame but himself. When Margot seemed to think about splitting up, Zach about spazzed but thankfully his partner in crime seemed to beat him to the punch. The Kitsune let out a soft sigh, when Royce bit the idea in the butt quickly that they should stick together at least for now. With Royce's idea in play he nodded knowing that offensively, he did have his fire and illusions, so if they did run into an enemy he could distract them for a moment while everyone else got away. So maybe that best put him at the front of the group? ' I'll go first if you're okay with that Royce.. my particular gifts could come in handy.' he thought to the fallen angel before relaying his thoughts outloud. "Royce has a good point, I'll take the front we go to inspect the house." he said softly. Even if he was now shorter than all of them, he still had his abilities to rely on. At Abel's comment however, the kitsune blinked and tilted his head some. "Fred? Isn't that from a tv show or something?" he asked but he didn't have much time before they moved toward the house and almost a movie like quality started as a family seemed to show up in blurry hazes. It looked almost like what minor illusions would do, but he quickly put up his hands in a defeat like fashion. "Whatever is happening it was not my fault ..." he said quickly. So he had touched the necklace, and had illusions but this one was definitely not his fault. When the visions seemed to fade he looked around at the group with a sorta 'what was that' look on his face. Yet, the child.. had seemed oddly familiar, which gave him half a thought.. 'Royce.. you don't think we might have been..?' the Kitsune didn't dare finish that unspoken question, but the child had given him more of a thought towards it. There was a high chance, that they had been pulled into the dog's mind, or at least one of his memories. Letting out another sigh, the now short and child-like headmaster moved to the door of the cabin slowly pulling open the door to peer inside to make sure their wasn't anything that was going to jump out at the rest of the group.. a slight spark forming in his hidden palm. If it got bad, he was not against setting this entire place on fire if need be. If nothing immediately jumped out at him, he would continue into the home keeping his eye out for anything so the others could follow his lead as well. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Well splitting up was out of the door now. But it wasn't like he had strong convictions for splitting in the first place. The pep talk made him snicker. "Okay, I can deal with that," he said with a small smile. "I still have a couple of bandages and all that if we get hurt." He patted the satchel at his side, which was arguably basically a man purse. Perhaps since this world wasn't real, if it weren't, maybe they couldn't actually be hurt? Margot considered himself tough, but...it wasn't something he wanted to think about. But whatever it was, he knew that Larse had something to do with this.
Margot was suspicious of the two headmasters having their own little conversation about the events that pursued so far, raising an eyebrow at both of them when he heard Zachary sigh. But he said nothing of it at the moment, instead just following them to the house with the three of them as a group. Safety in numbers was a legitimate statement, however his curiosity was one for that he wanted to go find out what was going on in both options. As they neared the house he listened to the laughter once more, but it grew quiet and ignored as he changed his observations to other things.
"Well that's good," he said to Abel,"I'm keeping on my toes too. Hopefully, we won't have to have to fend for ourselves though." Really it wouldn't. Though Margot had had experience fighting before he wouldn't want to do it here. He was more concerned about Larse. What if he was the one down the other pathway? He couldn't fight on it now, he just hoped that something in the house would lead up to something that they all could use. When Margot looked around though there was no sign of him, as he judged.
However, he did wonder who Fred was. "There's a lot of Freds in TV shows, I think," he commented. He was always cooped up in the nurse's office for the most part, so he didn't know about the other inside jokes that were going on. "First thing's first we're finding Larse right? He's the one with the necklace on; he has to know something about what's going on," he mumbled as they neared the house. He wondered if he was really here though. Looking at the small silhouettes around he wondered if this was supposed to be things Larse.
Then he leaned against the house, leaning slightly from the edge of the window to look at what was inside. It looked like there were people all around but he wasn't able to see in the house clearly from how far away he was. However, he did notice that the lights weren't on, which could be suspicious since the door was open. The magical atmosphere could just be the reason for that though. His golden eyes squinted into the dark room as he tried to make out details within, keeping himself on his toes so that if something popped out of him then he would jump back.

we're just savages hidden behind shirts ties and marriages 'Do what you have to do when it comes down to it -- that's unfortunately the only proper course of action in any case that may arise.' Now wasn't the time to ponder what to do after all was said and done though, seeing as how he wasn't even completely clear as to what it was that they were supposed to do. The fact that were laid out before him right now was that where they were wasn't entirely one that followed the laws of the ordinary world. The best approach was to be prepared as if everything was hostile, but outwardly put on the face of diplomacy. Leave no bases uncovered, essentially.
'Feel free to lead the way, Zachary, but I would advise against any outward hair-trigger hostility. Be ready to flip to the offensive at a moment's notice though.' What was with all of this "Fred" business, though? There were plenty of Freds on television indeed, but far as he knew, he didn't resemble any of them. But then again, television shows were not something he kept up with religiously or anything like that. When it came to that sort of thing, Royce was very casual about it, seeing as how he usually had better things to do than vegetating in front of a screen. "I'll be happy to indulge the pop culture references another time, but right at this moment, if you will."
At the very least, it seemed like everyone was in some form of agreement for the most part. Into the house it was then -- or at least that was what should have been in theory. Out of corner of his eyes, Royce saw something run past him, and he whirled around quickly to see the back of a small boy with black hair running before he seemed to blink out of existence. Whispers in the air, nothing that he could truly discern. None of it was truly... real, he was sure, but somehow, it felt like something out of a dream, or a memory. Something hazy and distant, nostalgic and fond, perhaps a little melancholic.
'We might,' Royce thought to Zachary. 'I think that possibility is one of the more likely outcomes.' Turning to the school nurse when he spoke, the fallen angel nodded as he replied, "That would be a safe assumption to make, I believe." He peered over at the house -- whatever it contained within, he was almost completely sure it had something to do with the disjointed images that were winking in and out of existence in front of them like some sort of memory reel. Whatever was there, they'd deal with it accordingly as they investigated, he supposed. "If there is to be no further discussion, we should go inside now." With the group entering the home, Zachary was the first to proceed. The inside of the home looked as if it was missing a few things in the most literal sense. As if fragmented, various parts of the home were just blank and having no substance. What was able to be made out was a simple home with a kitchen area and a table in the center. Plates were placed down as if in preparation for dinner, though not one that would be enjoyed any time soon. A small bowl with pristine fruit was inside, looking edible, and yet invoking a very strange sense of loneliness.
There were stairs to the side allowing passage upstairs. Everything looked incredibly clean, as if someone had dusted just recently. There were no signs of dust or wear, but those pockets of emptiness where things should be made things eerie rather than homey. All at once, a scene plays before your eyes; that abrupt static ripped through the air, as if something was coming to life in front of you.
A young man stood near the kitchen, followed by three others around his age or a little older. Unlike before where faces yielded little to no facial features, these three were clear enough to make out significantly more detail. One had brown hair, slicked back, and calm eyes. He stood tall, and seemed to be the leader of the group with the way his body language was displayed. Another was a blond, boisterous and rowdy with his grin, and lastly the other, black hair and short. He wore a reserved smiled but seemed to be close with lastly what looked to be…
…very familiar.
His hair was longer and black, wearing clothes that were simple. He nodded to the three others as they ran out and stopped outside as if to wait for him before vanishing. The black haired youth, slowly turned to the group, and a loud ringing sound was beginning to escalate like they were threatening to pop the very eardrums in your ears. It wouldn’t stop, it seemed to last an eternity. Slowly that relaxed smile on his face decayed away until all that was left was an expression of anger and hatred.
Every cell that was joyful melted away into that of malice. A seething malice that could be explained as silent, unforgiving acid. He was looking through you, as if giving this expression to those that just left him be, but the feeling was so powerful it could’ve easily been misinterpreted to include you all instead.
Slowly, his neck tilted to the side, until it looked inhuman and snapping with his expression remaining the same. He too, faded away, walking ahead and past you until he was gone and the overwhelming aura faded away to leave the empty home as it was.
Empty.
But, who was that person? Something or someone has acknowledged you…

Margot entered in third, cutting in front of Abel because since he had only one eye he would have to look more to see everything there was inside the house. It already didn't look right from the start. Some parts of the wall just looked...blank, if that was the right term. The contrast between the empty spaces with the realistic objects that made up the rest of the house was astonishing, this really was a dream after all. Enough to make Margot shudder. Hopefully, they could quickly find whatever could lead them to Larse, as was confirmed by Royce's reply. He really gave off that condescending tone, even more than Margot. But surely he didn't mean it.
The staircase was a point of curiosity for him. And Margot was just about to give in and explore if there was a second floor when he saw the children appear in the kitchen. His foot slowly set back on the floor before getting on the first step of the stairs as he watched. "Larse?" he asked, it was the only reasonable guess considering who was wearing the certain necklace that caused the four of them to be magically teleported here.
Margot even looked out the door, trying to touch the children who had ran out in an attempt to ask some questions, but they did vanish. He sighed, frowning as he looked back at the other child. His jaw clenched as their neck squirmed and twisted, giving him a disgusted feeling to add to the heavy atmosphere that filled the entire house...space, whatever it was. As it started to disappear Margot made a groaning noise.
"Royce, you have any itching feeling on what that boy was? Because I. I don't really know," he shrugged, walking over to the kitchen and picking up the piece of fruit for a moment. Suddenly, Margot had to remember things. Yeah, he had been friends with Cai forever. Samuel always came to hang out and bug him...Eli was his coworker, yeah those were people around him. But he still felt a bit lonely. It was...odd. He sighed, putting it down back in its bowl, looking at it just for a second more. The kitchen was gross, he literally scampered away back to the stairs.
He liked to clasp onto the railing for reassurance because obviously none of these people was going to hold his hand. Not that he wanted them to. This was seeming very odd, but other than emotional fruit he couldn't tell what was up with the kitchen. To him, the stairway called to him, as he looked up to see if there was anything there to see. Maybe a creepy kid staring down the stairs, nothing big.
