I FEEL ALIVE WHEN I'M WITH YOU @tagged @tagged Evangeline adjusted all of the chairs at the table with speed and her clumsy elegance. She dressed in her usual outfit for the Hostess Club; it was a short red plaid skirt with her white short sleeved dress shirt that was covered with a red vest. She had on a black tie that usually came with the uniform. She wore her usual thigh high high top sneakers that were black and white and laced up her legs. Her hands were busy arranging sweets that they had bought with their limited budget and somewhat of Evangeline's own creations. Tarts of all varieties, cakes, candy, and pots of tea were arranged at each table for their guests. Around the music room where couches and chairs, tables where they could entertain their guests. Evangeline loved to entertain guests and make sure everyone was taken care of. When she was an angel in heaven, she would come down to earth and help the humans with their problems, keeping them happy and healthy. She loved her job, but due to her worldly desires, she fell down hard.
"Alright, so everything is set up and all I have to do is just take care of straightening up the couches." Evangeline said to herself, her long black hair pulled into a ponytail while she worked. She had to get everything ready for when their guests arrived. Her amber eyes flashed around the room one last time before she walked towards the couches. The cushions were not straightened from the last time that the couches were used. Honestly, the music room was used for other things than the Hostess Club, but with Evangeline and her club members, they turned it into a nice spot to have guests. Evangeline had become the president of the club for the past two years. She tired her best to help the club run smoothly. Each hostess had a role they played, and hers was the 'little sister' type. She was told that men loved having a little sister around; though that really could just be misinformation given to her for some hidden agenda of whoever told her that. However, she did play the role well with her personality. While Evangeline was an angel, she also had the personality of a gentle and kind person. Many people in her past and even present have taken advantage of such things, but she didn't mind it.
"The hostess club is officially open for business!" Evangeline cheered as she danced lightly around the room towards the door to flip the sign that read "Please come in and welcome to the Hostess Club!". Guests were coming and she was walking on air about it all. Truly this was the best time of the day for her other than working at The Old Moon Cafe. "I wonder how many people are coming today. Hmmm....I hope it's alot." Giggling, she tapped her chin while surveying the room. It was so quiet....well that wouldn't do. Quickly, Evangeline skipped lightly over to the music player and put on some modern classical music for the guests. It wasn't loud to drown out talking, but loud enough to be heard throughout the room. "Now we're good to go." Evangeline smiled brightly as she waited by one of the couches straightening both sets up so they looked nice.

While the club president made her rounds through the room, making her preparations and adjusting everything to perfection, Emery was quietly getting ready... or so it appeared.
At first, the first year stood in front of a mirror tucked away near the back of the room, touching up her make-up and ensuring that every hair on her head was neat and tidy in its place. As a hostess, her role was to pretty much keep up her lady-like façade - a pretty natural and logical choice, if she had to say so herself. After all, she basically just had to do what she always did, although perhaps turned up a couple of notches. So far, it seemed to be working pretty well and Emery - much to her delight - was enjoying herself, too. It was quite entertaining to entertain others, and it was nice to get to know the people that came in as well. And of course, there was the occasional added bonus of getting dirt on some people and some ideas for potential targets for her 'fun'. Other than that, she also enjoyed the company of her other club members - especially the club president herself.
Emery liked Evangeline for who she was, but she especially enjoyed her clumsiness. Not only did the kitsune find it quite endearing, but it was also convenient for having a bit of fun amongst the rest of her club activities. For instance, now was a perfect time. After rearranging her hair, Emery glanced at Evangeline from the corner of her eye. To be honest, she had been satisfied with her appearance for some time now; she was just stalling, waiting for the club president to fix up most of the room. Once she proclaimed the club to be open for business, the purple-haired female drifted out from the back of the room. "Oh, how wonderful," she said cheerfully, lightly nudging a chair out of its meticulously perfected place as she passed by it, being careful to do so when Evangeline wasn't looking her way.
She continued to walk through the room, adjusting some small details of the room; however, this was merely to distract from he fact that she was mostly moving things ever-so-slightly so that they were just a little bit crooked. Emery was careful to watch Evangeline's gaze and attention as she did so to ensure she wasn't caught. She also made sure that her tweaks were not so extreme so that they made the room look horrible, but they could still be noticed if someone - particularly Evangeline - was paying enough attention to them.
Eventually, Emery was satisfied with the number of subtle changes she had made. Mostly she had moved some chairs and couches slightly, and messed up the cushions a little on some of them. Once she had finished she took a spot near Evangeline, and decided to help straighten the set of couches that she was fiddling with. As she did, the kitsune smiled cheerfully at her. Seeing as no guests were around yet, she spoke casually. "Everything looks quite nice. I think you've outdone yourself this time." Once the couches before them were arranged nicely, Emery stepped back and held her arms out, palms up, at her sides. "And how about me? Do I meet your standards?" Her smile lingered on her face as she tilted her head to the side curiously. For today, her long hair was left to fall loosely down her back, with equally sized chunks pulled over her shoulder so they were down her front. There was not a hair out of place - she had made sure of that. In terms of her make-up, she went for her usual natural look - only a minimal amount was used to even out her skin tone and highlight her cheeks and eyes. As for her attire, she went with a pale blue, pleated dress that ended just above her knees. It was a rather flowy garment at the bottom, but more fitted on the top.
To be honest, Emery was quite sure that she looked fine - she had spent copious amounts of time stalling in front of the mirror, after all. But she wanted to distract Evangeline a bit more so hopefully she wouldn't notice that some things were 'mysteriously' moved.
Evangeline Malak & open!

The sound of Ian's white cane tapping in front of him echoed down the more or less empty halls. At least he assumed they were empty. Either that or the few people in the halls that were still there were avoiding a possible awkward conversing with a blind kid. If that were the case he didn't take it personally anymore. Most people didn't know what to say or do around him. He was used to folk being uncomfortable with his disability. As if they felt bad for him but didn't know how to state so or not without hurting his feelings. So avoidance was their preferred method. Better safe than sorry was the mindset.
Regardless he would continue down the hall until he heard female voices. Maybe they could answer his question. Tapping the cane warily he found an opened doorway and entered partially in a shy manner. "Um, hello?" Upon hearing what+ I can only guess is an energetic welcome the teenager would blink his ice blue eyes. "Hi. Um, I was wondering if you could point me out the direction of a club." And it would be at that moment that his stomach would gurgle as if to give away his reasoning. He was looking for something called a Hostess Club. He didn't quite know what that entailed but all he had really focused on honestly was the concept of food being available for guests. |

I FEEL ALIVE WHEN I'M WITH YOU Evangeline was positively bursting with excitement as she caught the young girl who was also in the club with her. Emery was someone whom Evangeline got along with well within the Hostess Club activities and even outside of them. Then again, Evangeline was someone who could get along with anyone if she just got to know them a bit. Evangeline was shifting around, redoing the slight chaos that Emery was doing, though Evangeline didn't realize that the girl was even doing anything. "Huh? I thought that I just took care of that." Evangeline muttered to herself as she straightened a chair again. She was clumsy, but she was also forgetful and absentminded at times. She was the type of person that lets others take advantage of her kindness due to her kindhearted personality. Evangeline smiled at Emery at her compliment. The fallen angel giggled to then straighten a cushion she had thought she had taken care of earlier. "Thank you, Emery, I do certainly try. Everyone in the Club is doing so well, i'm so happy." Evangeline was always so happy that her club members entertained the guests who left quite happy or as far as she could tell they were happy. They offered food and entertainment for their guests. Evangeline sometimes played the piano or the violin for her guests. Those were some skills that she picked up while roaming the earth for about 100 or so years. She looked over Emery when the girl had inquired about her appearance. Evangeline always thought Emery was cute, no matter what the girl did with her hair or clothes.
Smiling, Evangeline clapped her hands in front of her as if she were praying. Her amber eyes lit up with her excitement. To tell the truth, Evangeline was a bit nervous to open the doors. She wanted everything perfect for her guests and she couldn't quite get over the feeling that she was missing something. "You look absolutely adorable, Emery. As always." The fallen angel smiled her angelic grin to then smooth out the wrinkles on her own clothes. She wore her school uniform, but she was told she 'rocked it with cute style' from a few of the boys that would come to the club. Her hostess personality was the 'little sister' type, since she had an innocent air about her no matter what she did. Vaguly she wondered if she should have passed out more flyers around the school to gain more support for the Hostess Club. She took pride in what she did, so she only wanted to do her best. Just as she was about to talk to Emery more, another face came into view as she saw a boy with blue hair and ice blue eyes come in. "Welcome to the Hostess Club~ Please come and sit down, big brother." Evangeline giggled, bowing a bit in her usual greeting. However, she began to notice that there was more than meets the eye with this boy. Her amber eyes flicked towards the cane in his hand and the way he didn't seem to stare at anything. "Emery, why don't you prepare a table for our guest?" Evangeline smiled at the girl before she walked over to the boy.
Evangeline folded her hands in front of her gently as she smiled once again. "Would you be looking for the Hostess Club, big brother? If so, you came to the right place." Evangeline couldn't shake the fact that something was wrong. What was it? The cane, the far off look; it wasn't really clicking for the angel until two seconds later. OH! He's blind. Evangeline said with a frown on her face. However, to keep up her hostess personality and to stop herself from letting sad and bad thoughts intrude upon her demeanor, she put a smile back on her face. She always told herself to smile. Otherwise 'dark eva' might come back to the surface. "Emery and I would like to offer you some snacks and sweets if you'd like. We have tea and other beverages for our guests as well." Gently Evangeline reached for his hand in a kind gesture to help him. She meant no harm towards him, only to help. Her nature honestly prevented her from doing damage to anyone unless the darker personality took over. "Will you allow me to help you to a table, big brother?" Evangeline giggled lightly as she waited for his answer. If he said yes, then she would lead him towards the table provided.

Emmanuel checked his watch, making sure he had enough time to visit the Hostess Club before practice. His watch read '12:30 PM' and the fallen angel nodded in approval, now satisfied that a stop at the Hostess Club would not get him into trouble with his coach. Practice didn't start until 4, after all, and Emmanuel didn't plan to spend almost four hours inside the establishment; he thought it unlikely he would spend more than one, honestly. Emmanuel walked inside, noting the cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere with a little smile. If he recalled correctly, supernatural creatures worked here and included angels, kitsune, perhaps even demons. Emmanuel looked around, noticing a rather attractive woman dressed in what he only assumed was the club's uniform and decided to have a little fun. She turned toward him and Emmanuel winked at her, fully aware of his appeal to members of the opposite sex in this human form and gave her a little coy grin, adjusting his shirt. Emmanuel made a point of walking past her on the way to the table he had chosen, sitting down and feeling rather pleased with himself.
It had been some time since he had done something like that on a whim and the fallen angel chuckled a little himself, amused by his own behavior. "You really indulge yourself sometimes, Emm," he said to himself, grinning a little wider. His green eyes wandered to the attractive woman once again and stayed there; Emmanuel was interested in how she would respond to his rather obvious flirtation. He had to admit that he was also interested in her and that surprised him a bit, not because it was the first time a woman caught his eye, but because she seemed......familiar. Emmanuel knew he had not met her before here in the human world, so that meant.....an angel? She had to be one or at least she was once one. Emmanuel kept his gaze on her, very interested now. Who was this woman? Emmanuel now felt like he had to know, had to find out, had to discover the connection that linked the two of them. Apparently, a simple visit to a maid cafe might emerge as the most interesting and enlightening part of his entire day.....

This was the Hostess Club. A flush a inner pride rose within his chest. He had counted the number of steps and doors correctly. With such a large building and not having been at the school for very long it wasn't a rarity that he would lose count, instead finding himself accidentally in the women's restrooms or, in one horrifying circumstance, the woman's locker room. "Yes, I was." Ian's head tilting to the side in a kind smile. His stomach would growl softly which he hoped the young woman wouldn't notice as he continued, "I would love some. Thank you." He would bow ever so slightly before starting at the unexpected touch. It wasn't out of distaste, simply out of surprise.
His cheeks blushed lightly at the offer, appreciation in his ice blue eyes as they looked in the general direction of where the feminine voice. "Yes please. That would be kind of you." The teenager would allow himself to be led by the hand. Ian had never been referred as Big Brother before and couldn't help but be brought in further by the smell of sweets.
Hands moving outwards to search for the chair that was just pulled out for him Ian would sit down and lean his cane against the table hoping it wouldn't get in anyone's way. "It smells amazing." He'd say with the similar kind smile as earlier, It really did.

(Quick OOC note: Since Emery isn't here anymore, i'm going to move her in my post.) Evangeline noticed the flinch when she tried to lead him at first. At first, she had thought that she had done something wrong, but then realized that it was rather abrupt for her to reach out to him when she hadn't actually asked if she could first. The tan-skinned angel smiled kindly at the boy, finding him delightful since he gave off a soft aura to her. She was once the angel of laughter and song. Soul's like Ian's drew her attention the most since she enjoyed the kindness those souls filled with light gave off. Gently she led him by the hand towards one of the tables provided, though she had an inkling that she would the the only one to entertain the guests. She glanced up at the sound of Emery running out of the classroom. Her brow furrowed slightly, but the fallen angel gave no other physical notice as to her concern for the young girl. Sighing very quietly, Evangeline led Ian to one of the tables, taking care to take his chair out for him before he sat down. Just as she was about to speak to Ian again and ask him what he would like to drink, another presence came into her aura field. This one felt...familiar. She looked up only to notice a boy come into the room as well. "Welcome to the hostess clu--" was all she got out before he gave her a coy grin that instantly shut her up. Despite her dark skin, a blush could still be somewhat noticeable on her cheeks. Her amber eyes became soft and shy as she looked away for a moment. It was in that moment that she felt one of her past live's memories flash before her eyes. A Pharaoh king looking at her intently as if hunting his prey as a woman who looked exactly like Evangeline bent to wash his feet. Without her realizing it, her hand closed tightly into a fist while she got a grip on her head. Memories could be a burden; especially those of a past life like hers. While she didn't know exactly what her past life was, she hoped that it would not interfere with her life again. Her thoughts were taken away from the boy who had walked in at first, trying not to look at him since he continued to look at her. She was flustered. This was somewhat bad due to her already clumsy nature; a well placed wink and grin could make her body go all sorts of directions. "Oh! T-Thank you, Y-Yes, I baked it all. I enjoy making sweets; I found over the years--I mean, when I was younger and baking with my father, it was something that made others happy." Of course the 'father' in her words was none other than 'god'. Despite her fallen status, she still yearned to be with her creator and warm her wings with the glow of his love. Eva took a chance to looked back at the newcomer and again averted her gaze with a blush. Why was he looking? Did she have something on her face? Absently, Eva touched her cheek as if to check if she indeed had something on her face. She felt her shrouded wings shuffle on her back with her flustered emotions. Very slightly and gently, a large black feather appeared as if from thin air to land on the ground beside the table from her back. She didn't notice it, though if she had she would have picked it up. Eva chanced a glance back at the two men and then closed her eyes as she bowed to the both of them for introductions. "Thank you for coming to enjoy the Hostess club, big brothers. My name is Evangeline Malak, fourth year and president of this club, I will be your entertaining hostess for today." Evangeline stood up finally and brushed some of her black hair behind her ear, her amber eyes chancing another quick glance at the newcomer. He was certainly handsome. But there was something there; something she was missing. To distract herself from trying to dwell too much within her thoughts, she poured tea for Ian before she took his hand in his gently and led it around the table in front of him, if Ian allows that is, to explain what each thing is. "There are slices of cake, muffins, tarts, danishes, and some cucumber sandwiches as well if you don't want anything sweet. I also poured you tea, big brother." Eva smiled kindly at Ian, hopefully moving his hand to the edge of the tea cup in front of him. "I also poured you tea." Since her guest was blind, she was going to do all in her power to make sure he felt included and knew his way around the table. Taking a silent deep breath, Evangeline moved her amber eyes up to meet the newcomers, though her gaze was shy and soft while she smiled at him with the same kind expression she did Ian. What was that nagging voice in the back of her head that kept telling her that his soul was familiar to her. His aura was benevolent, calm, and sure. She didn't want to assume that he was anything but human. Then again, she never came across a human who's soul read like his did. Ian's and Emmanuel's soul felt different from each other to her. "What may I bring you to enjoy, big brother? I shall do all in my ability to make sure you are pleased." It was her usual line, but why did her saying it to him make her blush as she looked away again. Her amber eyes flicking back up shyly, her amber eyes looking into his green ones. Realizing she should start entertaining her guests, she decided to make conversation. The best way was introductions; she loved to know her guests names so she could use them to distinguish them from each other instead of calling each one 'big brother' all the time. Quickly moving over to the tea cart again, she poured herself a cup of tea and waited for Emmanuel to give her his requested food and drink. "I think this calls for introductions. I already told you my name, but i'll tell you something about myself." Evangeline thought about it before she told them her piece of information regarding herself. "When I was younger, I used to dance and sing within my 'father's' meadows in our home. I have a big family, but now i'm far away from them and cannot be with them. I miss them all terribly, but in my heart I know that they are doing alright." It technically wasn't a lie. She did sing and dance within the meadows of heaven, bringing joy and laughter to the bright lights within heaven as well as those on earth. She did have a big 'family', which was what she called her angelic brothers and sisters. And last but not least, she did miss them all, she missed their warm lights and their calming auras. That life will never be hers again. Evangeline's face was turned away so that she did not show her guests her brief flash of sadness over her fallen status. However much she loved Heaven, her love for the mortal realm was far greater. "I also enjoy baking and reading in my spare time." As she turned around, she put back on that gentle smile she showed everyone, sitting down at the other side of the table between the two men so she could talk to them both. "If you wish to know more about me, i'm happy to tell you." Chuckling lightly, Evangeline had set down two tea cups with saucers on the table in case Emmanuel chose tea. "So, big brothers, what about you?" Evangeline beamed at her two guests, her amber eyes dancing in the lights of the music room. The music that played softly filling her heart and soul as all music did for her. This would be interesting for sure.

The fourth year student continued watching the dark skinned woman (angel, his mind amended) intently, although a different kind of interest now occupied his thoughts of her. Emmanuel could swear he sensed a brush of familiarity when passing by her, but how was such a thing even possible? He covered his face with his hand as memories flooded back into his mind, memories long forgotten by the fallen angel who now tried to maintain a human existence; there was no changing the past, no changing what he had already done, no changing what he once was yet Emmanuel did not attempt to in this moment. His mind supplied a piece of the puzzle, a form similar to the one the hostess had chosen speaking to him in Heaven. Green orbs took in the woman and he heard her call both himself and the other guest 'big brother', which Emmanuel supposed was merely a part of the position at this cafe. Emmanuel refocused his attention just quickly enough to meet her gaze, his own eyes clearly conveying his curiosity about the female angel. He glanced and noticed all the sweets clustered around the table, impressed by their sheer number if nothing else, but they did look and smell delicious just like every over item in the cafe. The fallen angel remained silent until the hostess introduced herself as 'Evangeline Malak', more fragments of his angelic tenure immediately flashing in his mind like they were waiting for some stimulation to show themselves. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Eva," Emmanuel responded, unknowingly abbreviating her name while his mind still remained mostly elsewhere.
His eyes widened when Eva started discussing her former activities, ones that unquestioningly placed her in the 'fallen angel' category like himself and made him even more interested in Eva, his mind pondering what she could have possibly done to lose Heaven's favor. Could it be that she was too overzealous in her duties, like he was? Angels were cast out for reasons more numerous than the sand on a beach, yet unique like each individual snowflake that fell onto the ground during winter. Emmanuel grinned a little to himself upon imagining that she consistently rebelled against 'the boss man' because his plan violated her moral principles, but knew it was unlikely.
The fallen angel listened to Eva describe her 'family', a large host of angels that had served alongside her and likely even himself. She had to have made an impression on him during his time in Heaven, for a face similar to Eva's current look appeared in his vision for just a moment. "Eva, I'd like a slice of chocolate cake and some milk. Also, forgive me if this is too personal, but I noticed you're a fallen angel and....I seem to know you somehow," Emmanuel admitted quietly, glancing at her once more. Did she recall anything about him or was his memory more complete than hers? Was his mind fooling him completely, distorting perceptions and fragments to create a false mental picture regarding Eva? The fallen angel had to admit once again that he didn't have a clue and simply awaited a response, sitting back and focusing his attention on her other questions. He could at least describe what he did for recreation confidently. "I'm on the basketball team, the shooting guard. It means I'm the one sinking threes to win the game," the green eyed student replied with some of his former swagger (slightly forced now) and grinned a little, happy thinking of the basketball team and the friends he had made playing the sport. Emmanuel sit back and sipped his tea, only considering his own extracurricular activities at the moment. He was happy right now, content to concentrate on the mundane, content to forget the past, content to live in the moment.

The young man's hand was led with a gentility that Ian couldn't help but appreciate. And as his finger lightly brushed the various china dishes, finally finishing with the tea cup he exhaled. Had he been holding his breath? Was it due to a smitten lovey dovey attraction to the female voice that led him so kindly? Nnnnnno. I wish it were that poetic or what not. But no. It wasn't.There's so much to eat. Ian's mouth was watering already at the many different choices as he smiled. This was exactly what he had been hoping for. "There's a hostess club in the school~" They had said. "If you're not wanting to leave campus for dinner I'm certain they offer guests food--" And I'm pretty sure his fellow student had continued explaining what the club was for or how reknowned it was in a positive light. But did Ian listen to that? Again, I wish he had, but no. In his mind he was already dancing with visions of sandwiches and sweets. "Thank you ... so much." Ian said as his hand went to grab himself one of the delicate cucumber sandwiches. Bite .... Hngggg, it's so good!!! Ian's cheeks flushed with a slight blush as he taste buds were taken to a happy place, along with his mind and stomach. There was another guy in here that this Ms Evangeline was speaking to. And Ian was more than okay with this as he finished his current sandwich and retraced his hand back to where that tea cup had been. Feeling his fingers around it he discovered its handle eventually and would take a sip -- Hngggg! Ever since the school year had begun he had been eating cupped noodles for dinner every night, too wary to try his hand at venturing off campus by himself just yet. So this, this was very much welcome as could be witnessed through Ian's very pleased smile. Those two were still talking and Ian was still okay with this. His hand wandered forward again before it paused ... It was rude to touch something and not eat it. Oh god ... Ian comically inhaaaaaled and allowed his hand to feel its way over the lip of the delicately carved china plate and before he even knew it, his fingers dove into what could only be icing. .... Dammit. The teenage human sighed as he attempted to place his fingers in such a way to where he could scoop out the slice of cake. He had been hoping to grab a muffin or tart honestly, You know, so he didn't seem as much of a loser as he apparently was. But eh, lemons and lemonade. Through some stumbling of his fingers he would eventually land the piece of cake on his plate and would shyly stick his fingers in his mouth to suck off the icing one at a time. Fallen ... angel? The human would turn his head slightly in the direction of the other male voice before snapping his head back down. OH! He was flirting! One of those "Did it hurt? ... When you fell from heaven?". Oh man ... Ian would have usually felt awkward in this situation, suddenly becoming a third wheel and all. But ... Ian carefully picked up his ... spoon? Sigh, let's try again. Kniiiife .... Fork! There you are! Ian would victoriously pick up his place setting's fork and take his first bite of chocolate cake......................HNGGGG!!! Ian's cheeks blushed further as his eyes closed to savor the heaven in his mouth. The Hostess club was the best place in the world right now. Disney World could suck it. And would go for another bite. |

She had complied with the newcomers request for chocolate cake and milk as well as tea. She stood up and carefully poured him both a glass of milk and a cup of tea. Evangeline glanced over at the younger boy to see him almost drooling over everything on the table. She knew he couldn't see it, but since he started to eat with a fierceness almost, she was pleased that he enjoyed her baked goods. To distract herself further from the strange man's gaze, she returned her amber eyes to Ian where she had just heard him thank her. Evangeline giggled, pleased he was happy. "You are most welcome, big brother. I enjoy cooking and I love to make people happy with the things I make." Making sure one last time that he was alright, she turned to get up from the table to go towards the table she had set up with plenty of sweets. She was sure that all of what she had made was going to go to waste if more people didn't end up coming too. Having turned away from the table for now, she let her eyes express her slight sadness over not having many guests, but chalked it up to people being busy. "It's a pleasure to meet you too." Eva said, forcing a slight smile on her face to hide her brief flash of sadness. She was the president of this club, but she didn't really act like it sometimes. She was a gentle soul who's main trait at her core is to serve others. Right when she was about to reach for a plate with chocolate cake on it, her hand twitched and another memory was sent through her head. In this memory the eyes she was looking through were younger, but her soul was still older than a regular mortals. An angel memory. H-Huh? Why would this come up now-- The memory cut out like bad reception on an old tv. It got fuzzy and then clear, but then it became fuzzy again and continued to stay this way. All she could make out was the shadowed face of a man before her talking with her and just enjoying some time with her angelic self. Her white wings open behind her as she could feel a spike in happiness from the memory, but no names and faces showed up, only the body. Confused, Evangeline closed her eyes for a moment and mentally stored away that memory. After she had fallen, Evangeline found she could not remember some things in the ways of her angelic times in heaven. It was like if someone had gotten a concussion so hard they got amnesia; however, this would be a mild form of it. When she turned around, she realized that he had called her a fallen angel. About dropping the cake in her hands, she quickly set it down and lightly automatically placed a hand that would hopefully go over his mouth as she leaned in close. Her amber eyes flicked to Ian, but the boy was too busy it seemed to notice. Her eyes went back to Emmanuel and her heart was racing as a rare serious look came upon her face. Leaning in closely, but not too close in case he didn't want her near him, she whispered into his ear for only him. "Please don't out me on being a fallen one; i'd like to keep this mortal in the dark if you please..." Leaning back out, she gave him an almost pleading look to convey how much she wanted to keep herself secret. While she loved what she was, she didn't want to go around broadcasting it; she learned early on in her days on earth that there were people who hunted even her kind. "Meet me behind the baseball fields or somewhere and we can talk there, alright?" Still whispering, Eva sat back down having set the piece of cake down first before she did so. "Oh that is so sweet calling me an angel. You are the first to use that line on me." Taking a deep breath, Eva put back on her kind smile, wanting to go back to what she was doing before her brief flash of worry. She smiled at Emmanuel and nodded. "That's wonderful. I don't really like large crowds, but I hear you guys are doing amazing so far. Good job!" She was cheerful again, locking away that serious look for another day's use sometime down the road. Evangeline blushed with how confident he was, wishing she was just as much confident, and scratched at her cheek. "I'm afraid i'm rather bad at sports and really...anything that involves moving fast and requires hand-eye coordination." Chuckling this time, she waited for him to say his name, but he didn't. Come to think of it, neither one did say their names to her. Mentally she sighed. I guess it's all going to be 'big brother' all this time. She didn't mind, she loved playing her role in this hostess club, but since it was just the three of them, she had hoped that perhaps some informality was needed. Looking up at the two of them, she wondered what brought them to the hostess club. Sure her flyers and word of mouth advertising had kinda worked, but many people did things for a variety of reasons; at least that is what she found out over the years. She was going to do her job regardless of their reasons. Brushing some of her black hair out of her face, she looked at both boys but then stopped to look at Ian, who was just enjoying all of the food. Eva opened her mouth to speak, but shut it as she just watched the blind student. He was so precious in his mannerisms that Eva got distracted for a moment. "I'm glad you are enjoying the food, little big brother." Evangeline made sure he could reach just about everything on the table before turning back to Emmanuel. "Perhaps you have seen me around the school? I am also in the Culinary Arts Club as well as the president of the hostess club. I also run a small bakery in the city, so perhaps there?" "So, what may I call you both? Since it's just us, I would like to use your names instead of just calling you 'big brother'." She was honest in her intentions, wanting to know more about them.

Emmanuel arched an eyebrow and simply listened to Eva respond to his revelation that she was a fallen angel, a fact she seemed keen on keeping a secret, something he could certainly understand. Most hunters only pursued demons or other evil supernatural beings, but some actively sought out fallen angels if they harmed humans or interfered with the human world too much. Eva suggested they meet somewhere secluded later on and Emmanuel nodded, replying with, "Forgive me. I'll see you there around 2, if that works. If not, I'll have to postpone until 7 in the evening or so," speaking just as quietly as she had to avoid the other patron overhearing their exchange. Practice usually took him roughly two hours, so between showering and reaching a destination, seven o'clock was his most accurate estimate. The fourth year chuckled lightly, indulging in the facade that he was merely flirting with her rather than stating an objective truth discovered by his mind bringing up old memories. Emmanuel found himself wondering absently whether other people had indeed flirted with her and decided internally that it was unlikely any others did it as well as he had, or at least had achieved such obvious results. A light grin spread across his face and he turned his head just enough as Eva removed her hand so the other patron would not see this, leaning in and kissing the back of her hand lightly before sipping his drink. Ah, Emm, you're indulging yourself again, the fallen angel thought with some amusement.
The student heard the other patron's comment and grinned a little more, willing to continue the facade of flirtation if the situation called for it (which it apparently did, thanks to the blind student's comment). "It usually does," Emmanuel responded with an amused tone, effortlessly making a joke out of what he knew to be accurate for Eva's sake. His own fall from heaven did hurt, but it was mostly a freeing experience for him, who had become increasingly disillusioned with 'the boss man' over the centuries. Emmanuel had picked himself up and bid 'good riddance' to Heaven and the servants (sycophants, his mind had supplied) who labored without a second thought toward a supposedly positive outcome. Emmanuel looked up and smiled gently at Eva, who had commented that sports weren't her strongest area and replied, saying, "Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, Eva," his tone gentle and sincere. He sipped his drink, silently enjoying how her name sounded in his voice; the fallen angel glanced away from her upon wondering why, wondering why he seemed drawn to her, why she seemed to- Eva's voice interrupted his thoughts and Emmanuel moved his gaze back to her, green eyes now showing his interest in the female fallen angel.
Eva asked what she should call the two of them. The fallen angel noted with mild surprise that he hadn't revealed his name to her yet, apparently too caught up in flirtation to observe simple social protocol. His eyes stayed on hers and continued to reveal his interest while Emmanuel answered matter-of-factly, "I'm Emmanuel Ithuriel, but just Emmanuel is fine," giving her another gentle smile prior to eating another slice of his chocolate cake. The dessert was absolutely delicious and Emmanuel kept eating, washing it down with some hot chocolate and smiling pleasantly. While sports might not be Eva's strong suit, her cooking was certainly excellent, with Emmanuel wondering just how long it had been since he had tasted something that good. Probably centuries, Emmanuel answered internally. "The cake is magnificent, Eva," the fallen angel commented happily, going back to the food and eating half of it in a couple more bites. This was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon, enjoying some delicious food in a cafe with a beautiful angel who he seemed to know from his past; he looked forward to talking with Eva one-on-one later that day for various reasons, some of which eluded even the fallen angel himself amidst the pure happiness.
(OOC: Just take Emm's concealment of kissing Eva's hand as evidence that his knowledge of Ian's blindness is somewhat fluid. He's paying too much attention to Eva to keep the idea of Ian's blindness actively in his mind at the moment, lol.)

"Don't worry about it." Ian said after swallowing his current mouthful of chocolate cake. "I'm not the best at hand-eye coordination either." The smile upon his face was one of light hearted jokery. If there was anything that Ian could poke fun at it was his disability. He had learned to do so over the years. If he didn't people felt too tense around him.
His ice blue eyes looked up in the vague direction of where Eva's voice was coming from. "Ian." He said as he finished chewing and swallowing his current bite of sweets. Even licking his lips of the chocolate icing that lingered, "Ian Fischer." Only then did he realize that his mannerisms may be less etiquette following than he would like them to be. A soft shy redness would color his cheeks as he came to this conclusion. "Um .... can I have some more tea?" He'd ask just above a whisper. The last thing he wanted to do was annoy the person who had been so kind to him. But god was he hungry and everything tasted so amazing @.@ |

Eva blushed deeply, her dark cheeks turning a mix of red and brown when he kissed her hand. Her amber eyes widened at the contact, not sure of what to make of it since she hadn't had any experience with that sort of thing. In true Eva fashion, she was as innocent as those she tried to keep herself around. While she may have a darker personality hidden deep below that wasn't so innocent, she, at her very core, was a bright and warm hearted woman who's intentions were always pure. There was something with Emmanuel that she couldn't quite shake. What was it about him that made her draw close? Was it his smile? His honest sounding words? She didn't know, but a part of her feared she may become too close for comfort if this persisted. He already knew she was a fallen angel. The only ones who knew that were her former bosses and a couple friends she had accidentally let the information pass to. "T-Two works fine, or even seven. Just drop a feather next to me at two if it's going to be later," She sat back, keeping her hands in her lap; the kissed one being held tightly within her other hand, lightly tracing it. She still blushed deeply, trying to cover it all up with a sip of her tea. Think clearly, Eva, breath deep--- It was at that moment that her body decided to follow suit and she breathed in tea. "Hm?!" Eva's amber eyes widened as she began to choke on the small amount of tea she had inhaled accidentally. Patting her chest a few times, she got a hold of herself once more. Eva had commented on her own fail with sports. Both gentlemen had positive things to tell her, which made the fallen angel smile and scratch at her cheek. "Yeah, but sometimes I really want to join in the fun, ya know?" She beamed at Ian, her warmth towards the boy growing with each interaction. There was something about his aura that made her want to stay around him. He was bright and warm, drawing others close to him. This light could also draw darker presences...I'll keep an eye on him for now... Eva, like usual, worried over the littlest things. While she was not overly anxious, she did worry about other's welfare more than her own. Ian seemed to bring out the big sister in her. Big sister? Wasn't...I...a big sister at some point? For a split second, her thoughts were struggling to remember the memories that plagued her at times. Some of them included warm memories of her hugging a smaller male that called her 'big sister' in Egyptian. Shaking her head again, she reached out unconsciously to try to ruffle Ian's hair, but at the last second she stopped herself as the action might become not wanted. Blushing at her action, she held her hands down yet again with a bashful look. They had both supplied their names and at once she perked up yet again. Her moods went from zero to sixty in five seconds. Ian and Emmanuel, Eva said within her mind to remember them. While she was not best with names, she could remember then since she saw their faces and interacted with them. Her memory was slightly dodgy since her fall, but she tried her best to overcome her weakness. School work was an absolute terror. She once knew the answers like the back of her hand, but with her fall, she finds she is losing all of her knowledge of math. Numbers confused the angel, as did history class. "It's nice to meet you both, Ian and Emmanuel." She bowed her head to them in a greeting sort of thing, smiling brightly. Her smile held more warmth when they were complimenting her cooking. Truly she loved to make people happy with her food and interacting with them. Putting a hand to her blushing cheek yet again, she giggled lightly. "Thank you for the compliments, I really do love to cook." When Ian had asked for more sweets, Eva brightened and stood up quickly, not noticing her shoe lace had come undone. "But of course, Ian, right away," Grinning big, Eva started to walk away from the table quickly, but at the last second her shoelace caught when the chair had moved on top of it. Letting out a yelp, Eva fell (comedic >.>) forward, catching herself at the last second. Rubbing her bottom while wincing, Eva sighed. So her clumsy nature was coming out at this moment? And here she thought she was finally going to have a non-accident type of day. "Whoops, clumsy me," She played it off like it wasn't anything, which it wasn't really. She always was a clumsy angel since she fell. Before she was a graceful and beautiful angel. At her fall, she became clumsy, losing the type of heavenly beauty that she once had. The price she paid for her love of humanity was high, perhaps too high. Chuckling lightly, she picked herself up and dusted herself off. Due to her almost indestructible body, she wasn't hurt, just her pride was bruised a bit. "I'll bring you both some eclairs I made too, they are delicious." Picking up the tray, Eva measurably, slowly, walked back to the table, taking the other tea pot with her as well to then pour more into his cup. She set the sweets down in the middle so they could pick them up. Lightly Eva reached over, to hopefully to take Ian's hand and lead him to the sweets, and then to his cup. She hoped that she wasn't overstepping boundaries, but she wished to make the experience good for both of them. "i'm happy to have met you both, ya know? Nobody really notices the Hostess Club, honestly. I'm glad to have guests at long last." Eva smiled brightly, folding her hands in front of her over her mouth in a sort of praying action, but it was just a reflex action for her nowadays.
