She didn't want to admit it, but she messed up. Just a bit.
The purple-haired kitsune walked quickly through the halls, taking every opportunity to slip through the small spaces between clusters of other students and, occasionally, through the small groups themselves. Emery kept her gaze steady on the path ahead of her, but her mind was preoccupied with what was behind her: an undoubtedly furious professor who was probably storming through the halls after her. How far behind was he? She didn't know for sure. The only time she glanced behind her was when she turned a corner - and even then, he was a bit hard to see... being fairly short and all. But, regardless of whether he was near or far, it didn't change the fact that she needed to keep moving.
Damn, I didn't think he would actually come after me, Emery thought, her eyes and mouth bearing the slightest trace of a scowl. If she had known that the professor - whom she had thought was thoroughly goofy and gutless - wasn't bluffing she would have... well, been a bit more subtle about her prank at the very least. And she probably wouldn't have tried to hit two birds with one stone and get those two girls while she was at it. The first year sighed quietly under her breath, her legs still carrying her briskly through the halls. While she wasn't afraid of his threats - she was pretty sure that there was no way he could expel her over that - it would be a huge hassle to get into a substantial amount of trouble. And so, she needed to find somewhere to hide out until she could formulate some sort of plan to rectify her mistakes.
As she had been walking, Emery had also been running over options in her mind. Outside? Her dorm? The bathroom? None of them were particularly bad choices, but she decided that perhaps it would be best to try out Option #1 first and save the others in case this didn't pan out.
As she saw the classroom coming up, Emery stole another quick glance over her shoulder. Presently, there were only a handful of students in this area of the academy, and so she could be certain that he wasn't behind her. With a small sigh of relief, the kitsune briefly scanned the area to see if anyone was paying her any attention. When she saw that no one was, she slipped into the room and quietly shut the door behind her. Once she was in the room she turned and looked around. No one was in here.
Her lips curled into a full scowl, now that she was alone. "Dammit," she muttered under her breath as she took a few steps further into the classroom. Malvolio wasn't here...? Emery folded her arms across her chest, her blue eyes surveying the deserted room. She tapped her fingers lightly on her arm while she mentally weighed her options. However, before she could come to a satisfying decision, Emery heard some footsteps walking down the hall towards the classroom. Hastily, she went over to the hefty desk at the front of the room and ducked under it, hiding in the alcove where people would normally put their legs. It was only when she heard the steps stop near the door that regret struck her. This is a stupid freaking spot. I'm trapped if it's that stupid prof. Emery cursed herself silently, and promptly began to formulate some sort of escape plan if she needed it.

If I fall back downyou're gonna help me back ---up again* Don't worry about me, I'm gonna make it alright Got my enemies crossed out in my sight I take a bad situation gonna make it right In the shadows of darkness I stand in the light You see it's our style to keep it true I've had a bad year, a lot to go through I've been knocked out, beat down, black and blue She's not the one coming back for you She's not the one coming back for you* Complicated was not the word Mal usually liked to hear when describing his day, but it was the best way to explain not only the day but his entire week. The wolf had gotten into a fight with Erik at his home, something that he hadn't wanted in the least.. but these things did tend to happen to everyone. Mal supposed it was mostly his fault, seeing as he had snapped at the other for a simple question that deserved an answer. In Mal's mind however, that simple question had tugged on a lot of emotions he wasn't quite used to dealing with.
In the end, he hadn't been able to apologize to the other wolf... or rather he didn't know how to make it up. Things had been going through his head but nothing felt exactly right over the other and he kept changing his mind. Even teaching, which he found that he loved more than anything, didn't bring him the same pleasure it normally did. Not with the other wolf in his class the entire time making him feel awkward and bad for yelling at him. So the teacher had found himself leaving his class a bit early than what was normal for him.
Of course, it was his lunch hour, and he decided to go out for once.. picking up lunch from a local restaurant just in town that didn't take to long to get back. With his head still clouded with different thoughts he made his way to his door, unknowing of the student that hid within his classroom. Finally opening the door he walked in, leaving it open for the time being, and tossed his keys at the desk. "Merda (shit)" the word came from his mouth in Italian as the keys hit the side and fell to the ground in front of where the girl had found her hiding spot. The italian teacher just wasn't having a good day as he stepped further into the classroom.
Mal set down his bag of food on the desk as he reached for the discarded keys. "Today just isn't my day." he grumbled to himself, but as he was reaching for the keys he noticed a slight movement out of the corner of his eyes. Without saying anything the teacher suddenly stood up, leaving the keys where they were and absently moved back to the door shutting it and locking it from the inside. Once the task was complete the teacher slouched some moving his hands in his pockets as his crimson hues glanced at his desk.
"Alright, you can come out now... doors locked. Though pick up my keys why your at it and tell me why your hiding this time." he called. It wasn't odd for several troublemakers to hideaway in his room, so it didn't come as a surprise to Malvolio for having seen a glimpse of one under his desk. It was just a matter of finding out which one it was, and what they had done this time to get themselves in trouble. ❚ WORDSso many xx - ❚ TAGS EMERY IDELSON - ❚ NOTES late reply GOMEN
