When Amelia said that she didn't really care on what she would have for her first meal of freedom, just as long as it was with him, the dragon suddenly felt a bit of heat on his face, as a small tint of red made it's way on his face. That sudden change caused him to look away slightly, out of embarrassment as he scratched his cheek,"Well uh, sure. I am sure that could be arranged." That was the usual reaction of Reggy's when offered she agreed to his offer. The only real problem for that was hopefully between what he had bought today and the stuff he had at his residence was enough to make a good meal for two, well he will just have to make do what it comes to it. Thankfully he at least knew how to cook, living on his own for roughly an century had it's perks as it taught him to at least cook for himself.
When the little lady introduced herself to the man, with some tears once again falling down her face,"Well miss Mia, it is a pleasure to meet you." He spoke with a small smile as he gave a small bow, before noticing that she immediately drooped her vision down to the ground and apologizing that if she messes up do to her lack of freedom. Reggy couldn't help but to let out a small chuckle,"Don't worry. Heck I have been around for more then a century and I still make mistakes. I will help to the best of my ability to help you get used to your freedom though." Reginald reassured the dragon with a small nod. When she finally looked back up and said those words his face took that red-ish hue again. "I-i am glad to hear that, I will try my best that it will the best start over you ever had." Words really weren't his forte, and put on the spot it ended up with a slightly nervous response like that. Such smooth, much wow.
It took the dragon a second to calm down and get back to his plan, "Well I know a way for us to get out of here rather quickly, however I will simply have to as you to hold on and tell me if you see any of them." He spoke before doing his rather genius plan, which was to carry the girl and simply make a break for it before they could be spotted. Was it the best one? No. If it worked however on getting them out of the area and back to campus, then perfect. xxxx ● amelia travis ● thankfully his cooking is way better then mine

It seemed the girl wasn't the only one that had heat form on her face, her knight seemed to turn a bit red himself when she said she wanted to join him for the meal that was supposed to be a celebration. To Mia they wouldn't even be celebrating if it wasn't for him finding her, so she wanted him to be a part of it. Also to be honest, she really didn't know how to act at a proper table, as she had never actually sat at one before.. so it was almost like a new adventure on its own. Mia couldn't wait to see and experience things she hadn't before, and with him by her side she felt like she could. It was obvious that her knight seemed to be not good at this kind of thing but that meant that they both had something that they could work on together. When he said it was nice to meet her she couldn't have been anymore happy, or about the sound of her name on his tongue. His bow made her flush even more, as she didn't feel like she was important enough that he should bow to her. No she should have been bowing to him for saving her much more than he should ever need to bow to him. When he said that he had made mistakes it made her feel better that she had a chance in the new life that he was offering to her. " ... I know you will." she said quietly gently moving a hand to actually touch his face, the first skin contact she had in a long time of her own free will. It was frightening at first, but touching him was enough to assure her that this was real, it was actually happening and she wasn't dreaming that he was here. Mia had only touched him for a moment before he spoke and surprised her again as a small squeak came as he lifted her up in his arms a bit of her cleavage starting to show because of her shirt. Also the chains showed for a moment but she quickly bent some in his arms to pull her dress down again to cover them the flush returning to her face. "O-okay... I trust you." she said softly she just hoped no one would see the chains, and for the first time, she didn't mind if some of her barely clothed body showed. She wasn't afraid that he would do anything to her, and part of her didnt' mind if he saw... Reginald Ferrera

Reggy could honestly did not really expect Mia to touch his face while making her comment, as he could say while it was rather sweet it did surprise the guy. He didn't mean to scare the poor girl but the resulting squeak that she had made when he had lifted her up, caused him to slightly chuckle at that sound,"Sorry about that." The dragon apologized slightly before look at her just to make sure that she was alright, with his once again rather careful eyes he noticed that the dress she was wearing was kinda revealing a bit more then he should, and after that realization his face took a red-ish tone once again before quickly propping his head back and avoiding her gaze for a minute.
He didn't really have that long, before Mia's voice got him back on track saying that she trusted him which lead to a small nod back at the girl. "Alright, well hold on because this might be a bumpy ride." He spoke as he quickly took a peek down either sides of the area before starting to cautiously make his way out of the alley. Sensing no immediate signs he quickly started to make his break for it. Reginald had no real intentions of stopping, he didn't want to risk the possibility that if he stopped they would find them. The dragon needed to make sure that he didn't bump into anyone either, in fear of either tripping or worst rushing into the ones that he was trying to avoid.
"Don't worry, it isn't that long until we are home-free. So just hang in there." Reginald reassured her as he mad his way to the path that would eventually lead to out of the area, towards the place where freedom will truly be obtained.

When he had picked her up she had admitted that it had frightened her for a moment. The woman wasn't used to that but with him she didn't think that anything would be bad. To be honest, Mia had high hopes that this man would break her from a lot of her fears slowly but surely, and she wanted to break down every wall that her life had placed on her as long as it was with him. Mia felt like she could lose herself among his presence and his smell, even if the slight smell of alcohol was ever rising in his presence. The girl slowly wrapped her arms around his neck as he said to hang on. The woman knew that they had to get out of here before someone found where they were going. Part of her, she would admit, was still afraid of being found out, but with what she learned of the man she had her arms wrapped around he would keep his promise to her. Reginald would protect her, and he wouldn't give her back to the awful person that had her for the last couple of years. That made her feel safe and wanted, and it was enough to make her ease into the strong arms that had her in his grip at that very moment. "I don't want to ever leave your side." she whispered into his neck where her head now rested against him. "No matter how far we need to go, I want to always be beside you." Mia said slowly closing her orange orbs to relax for the first time that she had in a good few months. It was something strange to her, being able to relax like this without any fear overcoming her. It was something that she would definitely have to get used to, but something she could definitely start to enjoy. "... My own knight in shinning armor." perhaps it had meant to be in her head, but the woman murmured it loud enough for the dragon to hear her as she slipped into a light sleep against his shoulder. Reginald's chest was pounding due to a mixture of the adrenalin that he felt while doing what he could to get through the shopping area, and this other feeling. Reggy really wasn't the best at describing this feeling, but it became even more persistent while he held onto the fellow dragon, an attachment to this lady, an need to protect her and to show her how to life without fear of being punished or put down. He didn't really care if it took an year, or one thousand he swore that he would make things right for Amelia. Give her the life that she deserved.
"I wouldn't have it any other way. Y-you are stuck with me anyways now." Was the dragon's response when Mia whispered, and the man had a small smile on his face at her comment. It was nice to think that someone actually didn't mind the pesky drunk, and a thought ran through his head that he felt the same way about her. He saw a spark of innocence in the little lady before her eyes started to close, as he wasn't aware on how much this girl would change his way of life.
Reginald would have to admit that he never thought this kind of scenario would really ever happen to him, being the man to save a poor soul from the clutches of an slave owner, no as he thought those kind of things really only happened in fairy tales or novels. However this is an world where dragons, vampires, and even demons run free in society so sure this wasn't really out of the realm of possibilities, but for Reggy to be an part of it was an different story. He didn't really see himself as an knight, maybe that village drunk that would sometimes offer an single word of advice to those that asked. Hell, he didn't just see himself as that as he was once that guy during his first hundred years roaming the globe. An knight however, was new territory for the man, and when Mia mumbled those words before she went to sleep in his arms, his face went that same shade of red, "K-knight? I would not exactly call me that, but hey if you call that I might have to call you princess if you go on with that." It was the thought that ran through his head, as the dragon made his way through the last stretch before calming down his pace to an leisurely stroll, to divert attention and to allow the girl to get some rest.
"Home-free now, so you can rest easy... princess." It was said in a faint tone due to a mixture of embarrassment and pride. xxxx ● amelia travis ● done with the rescue, and on to the awkward meeting afterwards!
