This might bother most but she's the sort to take such challenges in stride, and is doing just that. Something about that fuzzy past has driven her to travel the world, going from city to city looking for a place to call home, or rather someone that makes her feel at home enough she doesn't want to leave them.
Like many Phoenixes she tends to keep to herself a bit, not because she doesn't like people or that she isn't friendly but just because she's not compelled to be the center of attention. In a big city like New York that makes it easy to become just another face in the crowd, even if a notable one. Get to chatting with her though and you'll soon find a very friendly young lady who won't mind keeping you company as long as she can. This leads to Maiya having plenty of acquaintances, people who know her off the street or from the work place are not uncommon with her.
It is very obvious when you break through the acquaintance wall into being someone she considers a friend, most notably by her manner of greeting. Being the excitable little thing that she is a simple wave and hello turns to her tackling people and clinging to them for a few moments. She is particularly affectionate with these people as well and is very much a hugger.
The more someone gets to know her the more they will find a loyal and caring companion. She'll be the one going out of her way to try and make your day better, to try and make you smile. Should you show the same caring and compassion return you just might find yourself with a bit of an admirer....
On the flip side she's got a bit of a temper, a bit of a mouth and she only ever plays by her own rules. This often causes her to act recklessly and get herself into trouble. Even when she's not aiming to cause trouble she usually manages to find it anyway. Her mouth and way of doing things will likely make her a few enemies along the way, though seeing as they won't be filling the gap Maiya's looking to fill, they'll soon be forgotten by her.
PROMPS AND WANTS
"insert thing here" and the bird:: sometimes in her time off Maiya flies around in her bird form, and seeks out people that she knows or ones that look interesting so she can ride around on their shoulder chirping away at them (and trying to hide int heir shirt) without them knowing it's her. She needs someone to do this to frequently.... and eventually out herself to by mentioning something only bird her is supposed to know. Bonus points if they take her home sometimes and lets her curl up on their belly for a nap. (multiple welcome though she's likely to pick one person to do it to more than others.)
Forgotten friends:: her memory is wanky and she is old, and might just have a friend or two around here she's forgotten about. They could however, most definitely try and jog her memory.
Lost Loves*:: much like her forgotten friends she's had a couple of lovers along the way... who she eventually ditched and ended up forgetting about. There's bound to be some drama should one of them stumble across her...
Typical Haunts:: The train station, Central park, Midnight pub and the streets are common places to find Maiya, as are libraries, bookstores and other such places. She's a bit of a wanderer so she could bump into people almost anywhere.

No matter how much of annoying little shit you are Cobalt's likely to be the one giving you the sort of love, care and attention only a doting big brother could give... while also asking himself how much trouble he would get in if he smacked you upside the head. He won't do it of course but we all know that one person that just needs a little bit of a reminder to behave sometimes...
Cobalt's a bit of a workaholic so most of his friends and associations will be other faculty members or the students that end up in his office. There might be someone he sees at the store a lot or something sure but they just won't be in as high as number since he's pretty much always doing something work related. He tends to dive a little too far into it sometimes.
Even should he have troubles with someone he's probably going to be pretty quiet about it, all in all he's a mostly civil guy, if not a little snide and smartassey when he gets in a mood. Or certain people make a appearance.
PROMPTS AND WANTS
He really needs a buddy that reminds him that food is a thing and to get out of his office and stretch his legs sometimes, someone that kinda keep an eye on him i suppose.
Also that one buddy that somehow manages to coax him into doing not work things sometimes and gets him off campus to have some fun.
Whatever else you can throw at him, he's a pain in the rump.
Oh and student visits are always welcome, that's what he's here for after all c: | [attr="class","bbw"][attr="class","beab"]Alright so this chick is an only child with rich parents so yeah, she's a little shit. The sort that gets held back, kicked out of school, detention is her best damn friend (as is all your shiny shit, yeah she's a bit of a klepto, she's gonna steal everything) really she's just kind of here to fuck shit up and walk off laughing.
underneath that though? she's kinda lonely, she actually just really wants friends and is kinda a lost little teenage shit. She needs somebody to help her get back on track but that really is easier said than done.
Either way though she's up for pretty much anything, especially if it includes breaking the rules.
She'll have a few buddies I'm sure, a few people she just drives up a wall. She's asexual though and romances will be more geared towards the emotional and spiritual side with her. She does like holding hands a lot though, she really wants some she can walk around holding hands with.
Anyway, throw things her way and she'll hand it back broken.... or keep it. because she can. |

but yeah ju-long is very old and he's been around for a while so its very possible that he know's maiya from before her rebirth managed to mess up her memory?
seeing her personality it's very possible that the two were friends once upon a time and ju is definitely the sort to try and rekindle an old friendship if he finds out maiya's nearby. jogging her memory could be an interesting interaction and even if you put that aside, the two definitely have a potential to hit it off.

Oh yay old buddies \owo/ taking a look at him I think they could have definitely been friends in the past. To be specific, I noticed Ju-long has traveled quite a bit himself, perhaps they were traveling buddies once upon a time? Could have hopped around a couple of places together before parting ways?
Even if she never manages to recall much about it they could certainly just become friends all over again, I could see him being someone who's company she enjoys, especially since he seems likely to be the kind of person that can keep up with her more fast paced rhythm, so potentially even close friends as she finds that something that is difficult to find. |

Hello~ I hope you don't mind if I throw Emery at you :x Em's the night dancer at the pub so I imagine they'll be working together a lot! I think that she and Maiya would probably get along? I can see Emery putting up her initial "ladylike" routine and keeping it together well at work... until she gets pissed off at some customer and decides to go stew and fume at the bar maybe at the end of their shift or something. At which point her true self will just come flooding out lol. But she's the type to kinda stop herself at some point and go "okay sorry enough about me, how's your day going?" So, maybe they can become friends like that? Ah, and also, your prompt about the "x and the bird" is really cute, so if "kitsune and the bird" sounds all right to you, you can take Em for one of those spots. I think she'd have a sneaking suspicion, but she wouldn't bring it up until Maiya outs herself (if she does.)
oh and I guess Emery & Cobalt could have plots too if you want! Emery probably gets into a little bit of trouble now and then due to her pranks/messing with humans/etc. so. yeah. LOL ;; Most things he would say would sorta go in one ear and out the other because she's a little shit that way and just wants to do her thing. And she would probably have no problem telling him to lighten up and have some fun too, and sort of poking fun every time she sees him. like, "hey have you even left your office since the last time I've been here?" etc. Anyway, beyond being a nuisance to him I don't have much, but I'm open to anything. :>

Oh yay co-workers 8D Honestly Maiya will probably just end up chuckling and letting her have her little outburst, though if emery gets too bad Maiya does have lullaby and ain't afraid to sing a little turn to calm her down while she makes a drink. I could definitely see them being on good terms as co-workers, chatting a bit at the end of the night during the end of shift wind down and what have you. I could definitely see Maiya saying hi too her as bird!Maiya too because I think she would probably take a bit of a liking to Emery and end yup wanting to say hi and stuff. She'd probably end up outting herself by asking Emery about something that happened earlier in her day one night or something lol. All in all I definitely think these two would probably end up on good terms, leaning towards the friendly side with each other.
Cobalt + Emery
I could see her ending up a frequent visitor to his office after the first visit if only because he will probably call her back in to try and talk to her about some of her antics and behaviors, though it may be unsuccessful he's of the thought that if he's more stubborn and waits the little shits out they'll come around eventually lol. Her teasing would earn her some sighs and what not but I think they'd probably mostly have civil conversation followed by him shooing her back to classes lol
Billy + Emery
So I just added billy to my roster last night and wasn't sure if you'd like to plot with her or not but I'mma throw this out here anyway, she's a goshdarned problem child. Like if she ever caught wind of Emery's little pranks this girl would show up in a heartbeat wanting to know why the hell she wasn't invited earlier. This girl is all about fun and if stuff is going down you can bet your bum she wants in on it, especially since she's not allowed to party like she used to right now lol. She needs something to entertain her, perhaps they could make for a bit of a 'terrible two' scenario?
EMERY IDELSON and no worries here hun, i honestly suck at plotting 8D no need for us to get too into it, can always just throw them in a thread and go from there c: |

HELLO, HI, I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN A REQUEST FOR THE BEST FRIENDSHIP TO EVER GRACE THE FACE OF THIS PLANET???
Or best enemyship b/c rly i can see things going either way. BUT ANYWAY, these two look like they're the ultimate terrors of the third year class with their pranking antics, but just imagine if they teamed up. They'll be able to make everyone's lives hilariously miserable while munching on tacos and milkshakes.
Zeph will be upset that she's asexual for maybe two seconds because "holy shit what if we set up a zipline between two skyscrapers". There's dumb adventures to be had & Billy's fun to at least talk with about them, if not actually go with, regardless of if she wants to sleep with him. Related to these antics tho, stealing everything out of someone's classroom except for a single chicken, paintball gun wars in the hallways, and rickrolling everyone by hijacking the school's intercom system are all on his mental list of things to do.
I'm just... going to stop there b/c i see potential here but don't want to ramble until the end of time if you want to go in a different direction 8')

Emery & MAIYA THOMPSON - Haha, it all sounds great to me! C: After Maiya outs herself she'd probably just be like "aha! knew it! ... that's fine. keep doing it." I think she'd really enjoy her avian company and sort of hope she keeps following her and stuff. :B
Emery & Cobalt - She would probably be equally stubborn and I guess they would just go nowhere bahaha. I like it!
Emery & Billy - Heeelll yeah I wanna plot with her~ I think a 'terrible two' kinda relationship sounds great! They can get into all sorts of shenanigans and trouble together, all those good things. C:

oh boy oh boy. She'll probably do a double take when she first sees him, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up butting heads at some point, but at the end of the day I think these two have a pretty good chance of becoming that one duo that every teacher knows to stick on opposite sides of the room (if they even show up) and try to keep as far away from each other as a possible, and that probably won't do jack shit to stop them from causing trouble until they get sent to the headmaster's office.... and uh "get lost" on the way there.
And even if they do end up butting heads or something because say, an antic goes wrong or something I could see Billy hunting him down and presenting nachos and a milkshake as a peace offering or something because whether she'll want to admit it or not he's fun as hell to have around and I think she'd have too much of a blast with him to not try and keep things buddy buddy. She'll probably try to hold his hand at some point too because who else is she going to find that'll plant cakes with sparkle filled balloons in them that'll explode when they pop around the lunch room with her like he does? I don't know what her fixation with this is. I really don't.
All in all, I don't think I could put a big enough yes on this okay.
Oh and the runes, she'll probably just look at him funny and then ask him if he tags things often and suggest they go 'pretty up' the gymnasium or something. Billy + caius howell

BILLY POND yeeee I would totally be up for threads with all of them! \o/ The only thing is that I might be sorta slow, so if you like things going relatively quickly, just having 1 or 2 threads is absolutely fine with me. If so, feel free to choose whichever one of your characters you'd prefer to start with. But if you don't mind a bit of lag time let's do em all~

Perhaps they meet in detention? Perhaps she catches her setting up a prank? Who knows!
