WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK
❝
THIS KID WAS ALL KINDS OF CONFUSING. It was only natural for Vincent to question his credibility about being the Leviathan, especially when he turned so timid and quiet like a mouse. Not that he ever expected encountering the oversized lizard, but he couldn't help but expect a bit more fight out of him. Ah, but he did disappear early on so perhaps going into hiding for so long had softened him a bit. So sad, really. The demon might weep for him if he had the heart. To bad he didn't and just found the whole thing rather pathetic. Then again, it took a lot to really impress Vincent so that wasn't really saying too much. Despite the words said, he'd give Matthias credit for persistence, watching as he adjusted himself and feeling that grip around him grow a little tighter. Vince might have no intention of holding him, but the shorter male hardly had any plans of letting him go either. In fact the demon might even need a crowbar to pry the leech off. He rolled his eyes at the thought, too tired and intoxicated to put up a fight now and simply allowed it to happen as he lied back and closed his eyes, humming once again in approval when he felt lips brush against his skin. Matt really wasn't all that bad, so long as he kept that pretty little mouth shut and kept that ridiculous romance shit to himself when the demon wasn't around. But, perhaps that was asking too much. Shame, really. He wouldn't admit it openly, but the kid was actually pretty fucking good. Of course the demon couldn't deny the possibility of being persuaded again if only for another casual fling, even if the dragon was greedy for more attention from him. But that was one things dragons were known for, he supposed. Their insatiable greed. But they had a thing in common whenever it came to souls for the demon.
Speaking of souls, he quirked a brow when he caught the whisper, pointed ears twitching at the faint sound. Now that would be the ideal way of catching the demon's attention. Too bad he wasn't particularly interested in supernatural souls anymore. Bad business, he would say. Still, the sheer suggestion was amusing nonetheless, if not really fucking sad. Selling your soul to a demon just to get their affection. How lonely did you have to be? Pretty damn lonely he guessed, but he kept his opinions to himself this time. They would have fallen on deaf ears anyway as he'd seemed to have fallen asleep. The demon sighed at the sight before giving a final yawn, letting his weariness take over himself as well. He wasn't going anywhere anytime soon so he might as well sleep it off, no?
