Matthias stepped into the bar and took a moment to look around. Was it early? Or maybe it was late. The crowd was really thin- which was by no means a bad thing. Matthias had visited this kind of establishment many times before and it was always such a pain when it was full. He took a seat on the far end of the bar that was almost empty.
A drink. He had found that he had an astoundingly high tolerance to alcohol. But it was all about the mindset, wasn't it? If he really wanted to- he could get "drunk". Which was exactly why he came out to the bar in the first place. To get away from the school environment. But would they ask for that thing. That scrap of paper that meant something. "ID" they called it. Short for "Identification". The card he'd received with his name and face also stated he was under the legal age of drinking. That was going to be a problem... wasn't it. He waved off the bartender when addressed. Maybe someone would buy him a drink? An innocent thought. Matthias was totally unaware of the negative connotation associated. So he happily accepted when a stranger offered.
Matthias thought "flirting" was just some kind of bad conversation tactic. He hadn't read nearly enough to understand the meaning behind either gesture: the talk and drink. He took half a sniff just as he gulped down the glass and noticed it was pretty strong. No impurities as far as he was concerned. He knew his beverages pretty well. "Hoo... Mm.." He nodded hazily in agreement to whatever the stranger had been saying. The warmth that spread across his body was always welcomed. His collar exposed by his grey V-neck and the upper parts of his cheeks flushed red in response to the alcohol. He returned his attention to the stranger who was leaning a few inches closer than he was before. His tone seemed to have changed as well. It was.. Softer? Weird. How was Matthias supposed to hear? He was talking about his job earlier and now he had to focus to hear each word. What was the point in that? And he was still getting frustrated. Maybe he needed another drink. He was still too sober.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ FITTING FOR A DEMON, Vincent found himself seated at the darker corner of the bar, looking absolutely dark and mysterious but otherwise easily unnoticed, especially since the place was rather empty this evening. It suited him just fine. More alcohol for him! He never really needed a reason before to go get himself a drink, but after his job today he'd decided he deserved some alcohol to calm his nerves, alternating from a hard mixture of vodka and a cigarette that caused his little corner to be practically drowned in smoke. He was in his own twisted version of Heaven right now, leaning back and relaxing as he released a sigh of relief, letting all the stress and frustration from the workday just wash off of him. All he needed to make things better was a bitch on his lap to keep him company. Unfortunately, the pickings didn't really seem all that plentiful tonight and while he was never particularly picky, he could do better than a couple of old bums. It was rather disappointing, but he'd accept his fate for now. If anything he could always go out hunting later for something to keep him entertained for the rest of the night. But perhaps he wouldn't have to go looking far after all. A brow quirked as a new patron walked in, red eyes shamelessly checking out the younger looking male. Definitely not bad looking, but he also didn't appear to belong here. In fact he looked like he belonged in that shitty school. Either way, it didn't matter as the kid was smart about it, taking advantage of free drinks. Never mind. He did act like he belonged here, like most of the lone girls who walked in, looking for some fun. He was only slightly disappointed to find he had been claimed by someone else, flicking the ashes from his cigarette carelessly on the floor as he watched the two. The owners of this place knew better than to try and reprimand him for making a mess, Vincent being a regular who was pretty skilled at the art of intimidation, as well as violence if the needs called for it. Not to mention he paid well enough. It just seemed easier to feed him drinks and let him get drunk as he seemed to be less hostile when intoxicated. He certainly didn't mind, taking another gulp of his drink before waving the empty glass in the air to get service. "Oi! Where the fucks my drink?" he barked, sounding a tad impatient. Fortunately he was a bit more distracted by the two to get too irritated having to wait, scoffing in mild amusement at the sight of them, kicking his feet onto the table as he sat back and watched the show. What was he thinking? As if it wasn't bad enough that the topic was absolutely boring in the first place, he just got quieter and quieter and continued encroaching upon Matthias's personal space- something he himself rarely acknowledged. "I can barely hear you!" He blurted out, venting his frustration. The man backed off momentarily before resuming his position very close to Matt's face. "Ah- it's these damn drunkards! Even when there's only a few of them in here they're still loud as ever!" he whispered softly. Well that wasn't what Matthias was getting at, but it was too much trouble to explain. "Now where was I?-" He was interrupted by a loud voice from the corner. "Goddamnit!!" he cursed, moving away from Matthias again. He gestured the bartender over just as he returned from serving the drink to the loud one. "Get us another one of those shots, same kind," then he turned to Matthias, "Just wait here, kiddo. I'll be right back." Matthias frowned. Calling upon his knowledge on social norms, he deemed that last line annoying. In a way different from his own rude behavior. It was... revolting? It was also different from the way he disliked other humans. He remembered some portrayal of a bar in some novel. Perhaps this was getting "picked up"? So then why would he use the alias "kiddo" if he was "picking up" Matthias? Even Matthias could make a connection between the two and felt uncomfortable about it. And why wouldn't he wait there? His drink was coming. Why would he leave? And why-
He paused to look at the man who had made his way across the room. He glanced over the loud patron who had interrupted him earlier. He looked away only to turn back and look him over again. "Oh.. Stop.. Wait.." he called out monotonely and rather unenthusiastically. The man's safety somewhat concerned Matthias, but due to the increased distaste for the guy- he let him go. After all- His drink was here. "Thanks," he murmured audibly, giving the bartender a light smile. He smiled at a human- or what was most likely a human. Maybe he was feeling the effects of that drink earlier. He downed the second beverage intended for himself. He confirmed his suspicions. This was probably really strong stuff after all. He didn't even bother to see what developed in the corner. It was none of his concern. His only concern was the other drink that was supposed to be the other's. Well Matthias's ears were working fine- and if he wasn't expecting him to return anytime soon then Matthias would just have to drink it for him. Tragic, indeed. Matthias smiled at his own use of sarcasm- a skill he had been seeking to master. He found that he unintentionally used it quite often, but now that he had half a mind to- he would use it very, very often.
"Ya wanna shut the fu** up, buddy?"
Was all he heard before he stopped listening. Boring, stupid human. Matthias was rude like that, but at least he wasn't a weak little human. They ought to know better. How did they survive with such poor survival instincts? He had let down his guard for the most part and let himself get affected by the alcohol so his head was feeling a little foggy after the second drink. Still he tried to think back. Weren't they smarter a few hundred years ago? Progress? They've regressed...

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ OUT OF THE CORNER OF HIS EYE the demon spotted movement, the bartender speedily working on his drink in hopes to sate the beast before he had the chance to get too rowdy. Unfortunately it would appear to be inevitable as a pathetic excuse of a man approached, appearing to have been upset by his loudness. How cute! Vincent smirked darkly at the sight. "Are you going to try and make me?" he chuckled, clearly not taking the attempt to threaten him at all seriously. That fact seemed obvious and even appeared to have annoyed the drunken man. People always found courage at the bottom of their glasses and it was only worsened when you were trying to prove something. Backing down certainly wouldn't make him look very good to the kid he was hitting on moments ago. "Well c'mon, fucker." he grinned darkly as he stood up, towering over the other male. It was a sight that could send a shiver up the bravest man's spine. "I'll even give you the first shot." he stated, leaving himself wide open as he stretched out his arms. It was also clear Vincent wasn't quite drunk enough to play nice, but the good thing was that he was buzzed enough to be in a playful mood. Unfortunately even that could cause trouble, especially since he was really just looking for a fight to make this night even better. If this human was going to be stupid enough to try and face off a demon, Vincent would certainly teach him a nice lesson. Sure enough, not wanting to pussy out in front of the dude he was trying to pick up, the man would fall for the bait in a fury, managing a pretty good punch right in the demon's jaw. It made an audible crack and the man wore a proud look for a few seconds before the red eyed demon recovered, a wild look in his eyes. "Aww, you could do much better than that!" he taunted, sounding rather disappointed with the act. But he'd gotten his shot and it was now time for Vincent to take his. In a swift movement, he jerked up his knee right into the man's crotch with enough force that caused onlooking men to wince. It knocked the wind right out of him as he slowly dropped to his knees, the pace quickened as Vincent kicked him in the jaw, sending him flying back onto his back. The man groaned in pain, rocking side to side on the floor as he tried to hopelessly recover from the low blow, completely forgotten by the demon at that point. It seemed he'd had his fill of that, instead turning to the bartender who handed him his drink warily. "About damn time." he rolled his eyes, dunking back the drink before releasing a satisfied sigh. Yeah, he felt much better. This was therapeutic for the malicious creature. With that settled though, his eyes returned to the now lone kid. It didn't take much for him to invite himself over, taking the fallen man's seat. "Your welcome." he stated simply with a gruff chuckle. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Matthias more or less tuned out the background. He was immersed in his thoughts when suddenly- THUD. "Hrm.." Matthias had expected as much. Nobody moved a muscle either. Also expected. Although unlike other injustices Matthias had seen- he felt no sympathy for the felled idiot. He struck first, after all.
Matthias eyed the drink sitting on the counter. How was he doing? He could probably manage after another- handful of these. Just as he was about to go for it, someone landed themself right inbetween him and the glass. He wore a face of disappointment as he turned to look at the new stranger. He blinked several times, a curious look replacing his previous one. He liked looking at this guy's face. A peculiar fixation. Oh- He knew the word attached to the fixation. Attraction. He thought this one was attractive. That was... Funny? The other one didn't repulse him that way. It was just his behavior and the fact that he was a human. Matthias concluded the concept of "attraction" had its own set of standards.
'Thank you?' He responded in his mind. "Welcome for what?" He asked, genuinely confused. Why was he saying that? What did Matthias have to thank him for? Was he going to get a drink from him too? Why would he thank him for cutting his supply? Annoyed. He was annoyed now that he was confused. And aside from that- what did he even want? Was he the same as the other one? He wished everything in the human world wasn't so bothersome. Attractive or not! "What do you want?!" He snapped, unable to contain his petty frustration any longer. People. He couldn't stand them.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ BEING CLOSER NOW, Vince got a better look at the younger looking male, quirking a brow at the expression tossed his way. Might he be upset that he took out that sad little shit? No he didn't exactly appear to be fazed by that, not even blinking an eye in the still suffering man's direction, but he did look a bit irritated nonetheless and for some odd reason that only caused the demon to smile, flashing off a rather impressive set of whites. But then that expression changed again and he was already finding it a tad difficult to keep up, not able to read this one as well as he could most. Strange, but fascinating enough to keep his interest. Even when the kid didn't thank him. It was Vincent's turn to look a bit confused, his head cocking to the side slightly as he wore a rather perplexed expression. For what? For sparing him from having to deal with such a pathetic little man? For pulling him out of an incredibly awkward attempt at flirting with the boy that even caused the demon to cringe? Maybe even gracing him with his presence! There was plenty of things the male could thank him for, but he didn't even respond, only laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of it. He was never really suited for the hero type, so he wasn't too offended that the boy didn't bless his attempt to be good for once. Then again, he'd mostly done it for himself. Not only because he wanted to beat the shit out of someone, but also because he was a rather greedy man who had already laid claim to the kid the moment his eyes rested on him and as far as he was concerned, he'd won him for the night. All he had to do was convince him to come along with him. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Well... Vince was quite honestly surprised by the outburst, pursing his lips for a moment before cracking a wide grin. This one would be fun! "Ooh~! Quite the feisty one, aren't you?" he questioned with a snicker, turning his attention back to his drink before being kind enough to slide the one he'd blocked to the boy who had been eyeballing it. "Figured you could use some company since your other friend is currently... incapacitated." He was slowly getting up, struggling to get away with whatever pride he had left, taking the walk of shame right out the door. "Of course if you don't want free drinks, I suppose I can be on my way." he said with a mocked sigh, already beginning to turn in his seat as if he was preparing to leave. He'd seen this play before, he knew how the game worked, and he was quite confident with himself that he'd be able to win over this charming fellow. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Matthias was completely oblivious to the other's reactions. Perhaps he would succeed at "reading" others, but he wasn't nearly concerned enough to try- even though he was staring so intently at the man's face. But he did take notice of the laughing. That wasn't one of the responses he was used to. Why was he laughing? Was he laughing at Matthias?
'Feisty?' he echoed in his head. Was that a compliment? Or an insult?... He retrieved the definition from his brain. And- it still made no sense. Why did he seem so amused?! His eyes widened when the drink came his way. He smiled wide and happily accepted it, although he had already claimed it in his head, and lifted it into the air as he eyed the stranger once more. He closed his eyes, finishing his drink in one gulp. "Ah~..." Even if he wasn't sure how to act around other people, alcohol seemed to melt away his frustration if he let it. His speech was normally uninhibited, but it became sweeter when he drank- or at least it was less aggressive.
The flushing of his skin had been really on and off, but each drink renewed the sensation. The warmth was so pleasant. The way alcohol warmed him up alone was reason enough to put him in a good mood. He didn't get too much better at talking though... "Friend?" Matthias repeated with a puzzled expression on his face. Did Matthias have any of those? Maybe- Maybe one or two. "He's not incapa-Oh.. You mean him," his voice was tinged with disgust when he realized the stranger was talking about the the other man. So Matthias was alone and the man was being friendly? Even though Matthias had already snapped at him? Strange. Earlier, the man seemed to be just as rude as Matthias, and yet... Maybe he wanted something? Matty would have had a mouthful to say if he was on the receiving end of some of the things he said. But if he wanted something- He was used to humans like that. Or-Or maybe he was drunk? Matthias wasn't as volatile either- and he had seen the man take a drink. He would have given him the benefit of the doubt- except. "Drink?" The teen lifted a hand with the intention of grabbing the demon that was about to leave but stopped. In that manner he recognized the way he was getting lulled in. "Mmn.. I like your face- but I think you're more of a snake than I am, hehe," he said, smirking. He put an elbow on the counter and rested his head in his hand. That was funny. More of a snake than a child of Medusa. He had no shame laughing at his own joke after a few drinks. He was so clever for comparing the two! Matthias was actually related to a snake and the other man was metaphorically acting like a "snake". And it was a good thing he constantly returned to human society over the ages. The Leviathan from a few hundred years ago would've waltzed straight into the appealing trap that was this individual. Matthias was lucky he found him so attractive! He wouldn't have been very wary of him if he wasn't. He started beaming over his self-proclaimed triumph.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ NOT THAT IT NECESSARILY MATTERED but it seemed his assumption was correct when he figured the guy would have liked to have been saved from such dull company, or at least the disgusted tone in his voice might have implied he liked the man just as much as the demon had. So he did end up doing some good while he was misbehaving! Father would be so proud, he chuckled at the thought, taking another drink of the vodka before setting the once again empty glass onto the bar's surface, returning his full attention to the other now that the alcohol was pleasantly burning down his throat. His plan to persuade him almost worked, but the man wasn't as easily fooled or drunk enough to fall for it, seeming to be rather amused by the attempt nonetheless. Vincent himself couldn't help but laugh as he was called a snake, the boy admitting himself to be one as well in the process. He didn't know how literal he was being though, nor did he really care about races and whatnot at the moment. However what he had said did seem to encourage the demon who turned back to the kid who was practically beaming now. "Maybe I am~" he practically purred, looking down to the seated boy with a rather mischievous look on his face. "But you really are no better." he agreed, recognizing the act all too well. Of course it had a slight difference that he couldn't exactly comprehend at the moment, but he didn't concern himself with such small things. Good thing he found such behavior even more attractive nonetheless, though the stranger might have not been as interested in what he was offering as the demon was. Not that it mattered. He always got his way eventually. "Which begs the question of why you'd try to push me away, since you apparently like my face." he teased, leaning in a bit as his hands rested on either side of the boy, holding him captive against the counter behind him. Maybe if he liked it so much, he wouldn't mind getting a closer look? MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

Matthias blinked. The other man laughed again. Why? What was making him laugh? Did the guy find it as amusing as he did? There was really nothing else to laugh at- so that must've been it. Otherwise the laughter would be kind of strange.
Matthias thought he would be able to handle the situation accordingly but things changed. Like the other's voice. It.. had become softer? But at the same time it was very clear to Matthias. It reminded him of- oh, that was a quality wasn't it. It was velvety. This must be what the man from earlier was trying to do with his voice. Although Matthias instantly realized it was fundamentally different from just changing volume. The other man obviously didn't get it, and that's why he failed. But the way this one spoke though... It was so alluring that Matthias almost forgot he had said comprehensible words.
"Better than?.." He began, trying to catch up. He didn't even realize that the other had gotten so close, flinching when he looked up. His eyes darted rapidly back and forth, taking in his face- and his body, his clothes, everything. He zoned in on his face once more. Matthias's face and exposed neck flushed red, but there was no alcohol this time. Something was "drawing him in". There was nothing pulling him and yet he still felt inclined to move closer. Was that another aspect of "attraction"? It was like he was physically being attracted, yes, but.. He wasn't sober enough to think about it. The situation he was in was very dangerous and he needed to pay attention.
He moved back an inch in the chair and then leaned backwards until he was backed against the counter. Words got jumbled up in his head. "Push you? N-No.. I-" Matthias wanted him to stay. His breathing became uneven as he tried to continue and he had to look away. "Wha-What do you want?!" he whined, staring off to the side. He was losing his cool, and for the first time, it wasn't because he was angry. Too close. He was too close! Another loud sound reached Matthias's ears. It was... the sound of his heart pounding in his chest? His pulse was racing. What the hell was going on?! Maybe Matthias hadn't successfully evaded the other man like he thought. There was nowhere to run. In fact, maybe Matthias really was caught.
He could turn into a dragon! But.. Well- If he was sober he probably would've shoved him back or punched him! But he was very wary of making contact. He felt like it should be one of his concerns. VINCENT PRICE Notes: Uhh.. R.I.P. Matthias

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ THE SNAKE HAD CAUGHT HIS PREY. Vincent watched with an amused grin as the smaller fellow went from admirable confidence to sudden timidness upon realizing what was going on. The demon had always been told he had a way with words, sometimes out of sarcasm but when he really wanted something, he knew how to get it and that smooth voice of his was known to entice, a fact that was being proven right now. Of course, the little mouse still had some of his wits about him and though it was obviously conflicting with his desire, he was trying to fight back, as weakly as it might have seemed. It sadly only seemed to encourage the raven haired male. He was sounding like a broken record at this point he'd realized with faint amusement, watching as the kid became... shy? Rather he looked incredibly confused and scared. He wasn't even looking at him anymore. In fact, he seemed to be purposely trying to avoid it. Now that just wouldn't do! Vince tsked as he reached out and grabbed the other's chin, pulling him to face him once again. "Relax." he chuckled, close enough now that he would only need to lean in a little closer if he wanted to taste those lips of his. He could see the boy's face was incredibly red now and even Vincent could practically hear that pounding heart beat beneath him. It just made the demon even more hungry. But just when he was certain the kid was either going to pass out or strike out at him in panic, he retracted, ordering another drink from the bartender who had almost completely blocked out the scene playing out in front of him. He'd probably seen worse happenings in this place, after all. Giving the kid just enough time to relax, Vince turned back with a smirk as he waited for his order. "What's a little thing like you doing here anyway?" he questioned, acting as if he hadn't just tormented the poor fellow. In fact he wasn't done either. He quite enjoyed playing with his prey, toying with them until they completely lost it, until they were just begging for his attention. It was the demon in him, he supposed. It was like the jaws were closing on him. He gasped, holding his breath when the demon lay a hand on him. His hand felt really hot for some reason, even though he was sure his own skin was very warm. How could Matt possibly relax?! Too close! And- and... Matthias couldn't take his eyes off of his lips. If they were as sweet as the words that dripped out like honey. If he moved just a little bit closer then-
And then it was over. The other male casually sat down, blowing off the situation like it was nothing. His normal voice returned like it had never left and it asked for another drink. He turned and faced forward, staring at the wall behind the counter top. His breathing slowed and his heart calmed down. He covered his mouth with his hand. What was he thinking? Why were such strange things going through his mind during those short few moments? It was insanity. This would be his first experience with insanity. The vivid descriptions he'd read about feelings that couldn't be fabricated through the imagination came to life. Now he knew to be cautious. He should shut out the hazard before it was too late. It wouldn't make him lonely. This was for his safety. Matthias repeated it in his head over and over.
Now he was calm. All he had to do was stay calm. Just drive him away like all the others. "Why does anyone come to a place like this? I came for a drink." He wanted to add "that's all" to the end but he might lose his cool if he was too aggressive. And another thing. Little? Matthias was a dragon- a Leviathan. And he was hundreds of years old. And on top of that his human form was only a few inches shorter than this man. He disliked these strange aliases these people kept using. "Little thing" and "kiddo". "I'm not a 'little thing'. I'm-" 'Leviathan' he almost said. "My name is Matthias," he stated firmly. Calm, short, and simple. Matthias was now well aware that the other would talk circles around him- so if he just stayed within a little safe zone- then there would be no way for him to get cornered and captured shortly after.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ VINCENT SILENTLY REVELLED in that expression on the poor males face, gratefully taking his drink once it was offered and letting the kid try to figure out what had just happened to him. The demon could be quite the tease and enjoyed tormenting others in all kinds of ways, this included. Perhaps he was just a bit too full of himself but no one has come up and proved him otherwise. Eventually he did calm down and Vince was kind enough to allow him some time to catch his breath. He wanted to mess with the boy, not cause him to pass out (not yet, anyway). He smirked at his sudden snarky attitude though. "Fair enough." he agreed. It was why the demon was here after all though his reason for remaining lied in this amusing young man now, though he hadn't any idea how long that would last. He quite liked this kid's attitude though, despite the fact his earlier panic making it seem rather laughable now (then again, he was a rather happy mess already thanks to the alcohol in his system). "Some people come to look for some fun, though." he added offhandedly. It obviously wasn't something he was doing right now, oh no! He obviously wasn't too fond of being referred to as a 'little thing' however but Vince wouldn't complain, getting a name out of the deal. Not that he would likely remember it in the morning but it was something nonetheless. "Matthias." he repeated, letting the name roll off his tongue. "It's a pleasure." he chuckled, wearing a playful smirk. "So do you always sneak into bars like this, Matthias?" he questioned. As he'd realized before, the boy didn't look old enough to be in here. In fact he looked like he still belonged in school. Not that the demon would do anything about it. He wasn't exactly the best of influences. "Taking advantage of perverts who'd love to buy you a drink?" he went on, seeming to think he had this boy down now. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

He refrained from nodding fervently in agreement. So they were on the same page! For once... But then he added something that Matthias didn't get. 'Some people come to look for some fun, though,' he repeated in his mind. It didn't make much sense to him at all. These kinds of places were usually packed with all different kinds of despicable humans. "What's fun about being here?" he scoffed. Nothing. Maybe the alcohol? The alcohol was pleasant. Was it fun? Perhaps it could be?
The sound of his name in the other's mouth snapped him out of his thoughts. He blinked, turning his attention to the stranger once more. Perhaps that was a mistake. He wasn't even using that voice and it still made Matt shiver. Luckily the demon kept the pace- t'was better for Matt not to dwell on every little thing. "Sneak?" Secretive? Oh- perhaps.. the legal drinking age? How did he know his fake ID's age? How could he assume? Maybe it could be easily perceived. His human form had indeed not "aged". He thought back to a family he stayed with once. Their bodies transformed even during the short time he spent with them.
He had barely finished quieting his thoughts when the man said another curious thing. Two- Three things that he did not understand immediately. "Taking advantage". That wasn't too difficult- nothing he needed to reference. It was quite literal. The next? "Pervert." As in.. A twisted person? Or?.. "A pevert?..." he mumbled, thinking out loud. "Oh- Like the one from earlier." A little lightbulb went off above his head. An individual whose sexual behavior puts a negative label on them. Their what?! "Wha-Why would they love to..." No he'd read about this before. To get "drunk" was also to disrupt one's normal thinking processes. Therefore putting an individual in a state of vulnerability. So the deviant would.. in order to.. He felt a little sick having figured it out. That was why he felt so uncomfortable. It was completely different from being approached by- anyone else.
He shot an eye at the man. "H-Hey! It's not that.. I suppose I was taking an advantage but.." No pathetic, human excuse would leave his mouth. "Well.. I still don't know what you want!! You could be a per-pervert! I should just call you that!" he replied, his frustration returning. He was still so sober. A roundabout way of venting his frustration since this man he'd been interacting with for so long was still nameless in his book. Only when Matthias was sober could he act so childishly. Or was it the other way around? VINCENT PRICE Notes: When in doubt- yell at the scary demon man ~___~

WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK ❝ PLAYING DUMB OR INCREDIBLY NAIVE the younger male claimed to have not known what he was talking about. Well, some might have thought the place was fun for the atmosphere or simply the drinks, but for those similar to the demon, it wasn't the place itself but the prey that you could find within. The fun really happened wherever you were able to scurry off to with your inebriated company for that night. But he wasn't about to tell him that. In fact if the kid were lucky, he'd be able to find out through experience. Oh but Matthias seemed to have been incredibly slow and while the demon might have normally found it tedious, he was currently enjoying every moment of this poor kid's stammering as he tried to understand what was going on. It almost made the demon feel powerful knowing this was all he had to do to get this boy in a panicked mess. He smirked at the sight, taking another drink as he watched the teen practically fall apart right in front of his eyes. But the ramblings wouldn't last too long and the demon quirked a brow as he was addressed again. Being called a pervert wasn't the first so he wasn't exactly fazed by it, offering a simple shrug in response as he wore an mischievous grin. "Call me whatever you'd like." he teased, not even bothering to argue such a thing. It should have been obvious, but he'd let the boy believe whatever he wanted, whether that was some sexual deviant or just another patron at the bar trying to make friends. It was no skin off his nose, which was pretty obvious by his next words. "What are you having?" he gestured to his drink. While his scared little self was cute and all, he really did need to relax. Perhaps a few more drinks would do him some good. MADE BY MINNIE OF FTS & GS

A crass attack like that- should have still elicited a stronger reaction. His head wasn't working perfectly but he knew it took much, much less to piss some people off. What was up with this guy? Was it because he was drunk? Or was he just shameless? He seemed to be awfully confident. Maybe he seemed "attractive" to most people and there was nothing particularly special about their interaction. Matthias was an impressive "buzzkill" for himself, thinking about the situation like that.
He really should have left already, but... "I wanna call you by your name," he finally admit. He should stop while he's ahead. But even if the man was a pervert that only planned on using his body- the idea of being wanted was nice for a change. The same wit- the same clever tone. He would wield it, perhaps incorrectly, but he would mimic it all the same. If it pleased the older male... In response to his gesture, Matthias paused for only a few seconds before speaking. "You, probably.." He put a hand on his head. That sounded about right. "Probably whatever you're having," he restated, as if he hadn't just played along.
So much for keeping his guard up. Or maybe he was just playing his own game! Matthias had spent far too much time with the stranger to just let him go. Even accounting for the alcohol in his system, he hadn't ever really been able to comfortably interact with another soul for an extended amount of time. 'Yeah, that's right!!' he thought. Matthias would make the man his prey. Even if it was just his body. Even if it just meant he was going to be used. Matthias would "take advantage" of this "pervert" and entice him into his own clutches. Besides, he had no personal experience with how any sort of relationship with other living beings developed but they had to start somewhere, right? And in many novels he read- this was exactly how they got started. VINCENT PRICE Notes: No Matt. You're just frigging lonely >:C and probably a little drunk
